Man, I just purchased these headlights from your site entirely because of this video. My 2001 Sequoia lights have a thick yellow film and it's been bugging the hell out of me, not to mention reducing my visibility at night. The other day I looked under the hood to see if I could figure out how to remove the lights, with the idea of buying new ones if (and only if) I was sure I could figure out how to install them. No luck. But I found this video and you saved the day! THANKS!
Your instructions were complete and excellent. My only regret is that I did not discover your video until after I had bought the headlights, or I'd have bought them from you. Thank you for the excellent tutorial.
It did help! We ordered the part from 1A Auto, it arrived in a few days. My husband and I watched the video and went out and replaced the headlights. It def had a learning curve, the first one took about 30 minutes to get it out with finesse (my husband is prone to getting aggravated and then breaking stuff with too much force), and the second one took less than 10 minutes. He is very pleased with the new lights! Thank you so much.
Thank you for the positive feedback, we really appreciate it! If you have a minute, drop us a review on our Facebook page to let other people know about your experience with us. Here's a link: facebook.com/1AAuto/reviews/
Thank you Soooooo much! My boys were stumped and frustrated after 2 hours trying to get the old assembly off. I suggested a search on UA-cam and there you were. FYI this was on a 2006 tundra. Worked perfectly! Youre an angel!
Perfection! I realized a headlight was out on my Sequoia on the way home from work and I am thinking.. "Great, more money to spend at the mechanic shop". Stopped and bought a bulb in hopes that's all it was and figured I'd have to call my guy neighbor over to help with it. HA, no way! Always wanting to figure things out on my own, I found your video on the first search and replaced the bulb by myself in about 15 minutes which included the time scrubbing the gunk off my hands. Headlight works perfect! I'll eventually replace both headlights due to the yellow film on them and I'll attempt to follow your tutorial on that. I'll let you know how that goes when the time comes. Much appreciated!!
Hint to getting the side - parking light assemble off - there's a tab that slides into the headlight (peek between the headlight and the side light and you'll see it just above the lower inside bolt. Pull the headlight assembly out a bit so you can disengage tab and then slide the side light forward - the tab that slides into the headlight assembly is the tricky part and not obvious. Great video - saved me a lot of time and frustration in the replacement of my headlight assembly - got my on Amazon - 2 headlights for about $65 - what a bargain.
Thank you for a fantastic instructional video! It convinced me to change the headlights on my '03 Sequoia for not much more than some shops are charging for a so-called "restoration". Ordered the parts from you guys and they arrived as-ordered, exceptionally packed against damage, and fit perfectly. Thanks again!
That was helpful. My blinker assembly was really stuck. I fished the webbing of a tie down strap behind it and pulled forward on the free ends toward the front of the truck. Popped out effortlessly!
The later year model headlights mount a little different. You may be able to apply some of the basic steps that need to be taken to your 2005 Sequoia. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Thanks for this vid! Don't forget to aim the new headlight assembly before installing the new units - mine (not purchased from 1A :0) were aimed high, and the adjustment nut is accessible enough to tweak but hard if they are set at the extreme. My headlights were great for spotting monkies in the tree but not so good for night driving...

Great video! I watched the video amd successfully swapped out our light assembly. Only tough part was the parking lights due to never being taken out, but a little bit of elbow grease and got it out in order to get to the headlight bolt that was under that.
