Great job! I just love the way you work with no plans, just see how things go with the tools and materials that you have. It's my preferred way of working too.
Nice gift ideas; I'm sure they will be very well received. Think I'll be heading to the off-cut bin at the weekend to give them a try for myself. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes.
Lovely little projects/gifts. The brass candle inserts - brilliant idea - but all I can find is a 38mm Forstner bit. When I tried to make the holes in a slice of tree trunk [thought the bark 'live edge' would be cool] the pillar drill kept sticking, so I'll be using cut timber in future, maybe in a 'species sandwich'. I like the random geometric planters, and I think they could also look good done, Shou sugi ban style too. Did the 'spill' of black epoxy proove a little tough to remove - think i'd have shoved it through my thicknesser. But its true, a bit of Danish oil and bob's your auntie!
Hi Matt, need your advice please. I need to invest in a bench top drill press and ideally a band saw, what would you recommend without breaking the bank but one that won’t break after a couple of weeks - thanks 👍
It would have been nice to match the grain on the plug for the succulents block. I know on the bottom you wouldn't see it very often but still. Good job!
I took the centre point out of the dewalt forstner bit and replaced it with a snapped off cheap hss bit. Acts nicely to centre and pilot but removes the original grabbing action
They are so lovely . Succulent plants are my favorite and i really liked the idea that the pots are from firewood and who doesnt love tea light holders and the board can be used for more than one purpose !!!! Great job !!!!!
Leonardo Kalinci. hey I have a shop similar to his, between garage sales, estate sales, Facebook and picking things outta the trash, I built a space with some really great tools for under $1500. Don’t let money hold you down, buy one tool from a garage sale and start with that. Push yourself to make things with that tool or the couple you start with. Before you know it you will have the money saved to go look for something else.
Very nice ideas for Christmas gifts. Thanks for sharing. I recently started to make to things out of firewood. In the mean time I found out that my bandsaw isn't the best buy which I ever made. It's too small (I can go only up to a height of only 8 cm), not very powerful, the elevating mechanism clogs up very easy (and it's difficult to clean it, takes a long time) and the worst part of all is that I'm constantly breaking my saw bands. That's probably my mistake but I don't know how to avoid it.
Badger Workshop I too really love working with reclaimed barn beams or other reclaimed wood. Looks super sharp with a nice rustic look. I’d like to try to make some of those candle holders. Where might I find some of those metal inserts?
Hello Matt , I really enjoy watching your projects being made . Especially the recycled or waste wood items. But please Can you put the crown guard on the circular Better safe than sorry. Regards. Adrian
You don’t wear gloves, but a chemical mask😂😂😂😂😂
Its a dust mask
It is really dangerous to use gloves on a belt sander
Loose threads get caught in the moving bits. Not a great idea to wear gloves
I like the simplicity and organic look of these.
Dang it! Wish I would have found this earlier. Good ideas all around. Nice K.I.S.S. principling it. Keeper video!
Great job!

Thanks Alan. I like to go with the flow
You're a natural mate - at all of it - the creativity, the carpentry, the production, the presentation....all of it. Nice one fella!
Thank you very much Justin
I couldn't pick one over the other... all three very nice, warm and with their very own character! Great job!
Thank you very much
Simple but VERY effective matt , job well done.
Thank you Billy
I will try some of these.
Thanks for the ideas!
Thank you
Nice work fella. Good to see off cuts and leftover bits of wood being used too 👍
Thank you shane
Very nice and easy gifts. Thanks!👍

I think next time i will use a card scraper to remove the epoxy
Got to love the scrap bin for such a project as making unique gifts. 👌🏽
They all look great, nice work, mate. 👍🏽
Thank you Bill. They would have ended up on the fire if i did not make things out of them.

Exactly, it's a balancing game on how long to hold onto these pieces before using them, or risk an avalanche! 🤔😂
I love all 3 ideas. Now I need to find some nice oak :) Especially liked the geometric flower pots
Thank you Darren
Really like how all three of those turned out.
Thank you
Found the tea light sleeves. Thanks so much. 😀 Will be a fun project. 👍🏼

May i suggest that you take the central point to the bench grinder, and make it in to a brad point
Really nice job mate. Well done 👍🏼
Thank you

Thanks Brian I hope so

Hi Matt what tube bending tool is that mate & where did u acquire it..🤔😁Ta
Where do you buy these insets (inlays? -- don't know how to name it) for the lights? thank you
Very nice ideas for Christmas gifts. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. Maybe try changing to a different blade supplier. I have only have one brake in 4 years.
Really like those geometric plant holders!!! 😍
Thank you David. I was pleased with how they came out

@@DS-qi9jp there is a link under the video to the tools I use
How do you power your Chamfer Bit under the table? Do you use a normal Power Drill upside down or is it a special table? Thank you.
Great job as always 👍
Thank you
After that first one I was worried there wasn't going to be any brass!
I just sneaked some in
Cool projects but why is the shop so dark.
One of each for me please - one month to go!! x
You cant be trusted with naked flames
@@Badgerworkshop You raise a very good point. Ill be ok with just a chopping board. x

Nice
Thank you
What bandsaw is that bud?
Food for thought, nice idea's and as others have said good time to raid the scrap box 👍👍
Thanks Alan
Why not a big Forster bit? Save a load of work ...
By the way, @ 1:52 you can use a vacuum to suck the glue into the tighter spots.
Good tip
Nice 💪
Thank you
Ah Matt....you shouldn't have!! I look forward to u wrapping them at Xmas 😁
I am not sure you have been a good boy this year
I have been a very naughty boy 👦🤣 I am going to sulk!!

Lovely. I'm totally copying your ideas......two years later. :) Thanks, mate !
You’re sure you have my correct address to send them to? 👍👍👍
I will wrap them now
I have noticed that with a lot of your videos the volume seems to be quite low in comparison to other videos. Hope you don't mind the feedback
Thats as loud as my mic will go without distorting
😃👍🏻👊🏻
Con esas luces, el taller parece casa de maracas 😂
