Totally! A lot of people go for live recordings of their favourite bands, suffering the delusion it will make them feel like the band is performing live in their living room. I prefer most studio recordings over live recordings. PRIMUS live recordings however, with only a few exceptions are most of the time BETTER than the studio recordings. And that’s saying something! Their jams are so tight. They don’t just go into some amateur medley, they jam the song and then reign it back in and give it one last horse whip right at the end; all the while remaining faithful to the song’s core. And watching/hearing Les go nuts on his bass is one of the great thrills in life.
