      You can keep your pool running just sprinkle some around the pool. You do not want to overdo it. Sometimes people will overuse this and it will cause the chlorine to be zeroed out and then Possible turning cloudy so my advice would be to sprinkle around the pool about 1 pound of it, and wait a day or two to see what the results are. Then you would repeat the process if you’re getting good results with the type of stains you have.

      It’s going to depend on how much metals or organics get in your pool. You can also use a product called metal out that will strip most metals and organics from your pool.

      It works the same for vinyl pools and plaster. And if you watch the video, it’s the same process. If it’s on the bottom of the pool, just shut the pool off until the water is not moving so it will sink directly to the spot.

      You’ll need to shock, a few chlorine pucks in skimmer, and add 1/2 gal. liquid chlorine to pool after 24hrs of ascorbic treatment because ascorbic acid neutralizes chlorine.

    • @ClearlySeen

    • @ClearlySeen

      The citric acid once put in the pool doesn’t stay in there long before it’s neutralized.

    Great video. I have a fiberglass pool and my stains are all over the pool bottom and on the walls from not covering the pool this past year. Brushing does not remove them. Could I add the citric acid and let the pool circulate for a day or so to remove all the stains all over the pool? Or should i just broadcast and leave pump off? I know you said off for the video you just made but i am not sure that doing it off would it remove the stains on the walls.

    Do you need to lower the chlorine level before you use the product.

    • @ClearlySeen
      @ClearlySeen  7 місяців тому

      It’s best to make sure the chlorine is not extremely high when using it although I have treated a lot of pools with high chlorine and it still worked so if your pool is above to 3ppm then I would go ahead and lower it down some for it to be most effective.

      Also, if it’s ever above the water what you would want to do is use a glove, some protective covering for your hand. Sprinkle a little bit and add just a little bit of water. You can use a brush in that situation to move it around but remember it needs water to work properly

      What I usually recommend is putting in maybe 2 pounds sprinkling it around your pool with the pump off for a little while then turned it on and typically it will treat the whole pool but you may need to reapply it it’s going to go by the size of your pool.
