If you pause it at 8:37, it seems clear that the Jet electronics are the same as the Ford. The "Ford" mark looks to be ground off and the part number is covered by the Jet sticker.🤔 I'm not knocking on you or Jet. I just happened to notice. Plus you said you were wondering if they were the same. This might help further down the diagnosis road. Check under the Jet sticker.😮

My 2.7 Ecoboost has been tuned for a long time and has 220K on it. No throttle body problems. I considered the BBK as my truck has many bolts ons, my tuner said no. My truck is a 2016 4wd Supercrew and has ran a 3.98 zero to sixty and a 12.46 quarter mile. Up next is CRP STAGE 3 turbos. Hoping to get into the 11s. Curious about the Jet, I didn't even know it existed.

Thanks for posting! I recently installed a brand new OEM throttle body on my 2011 3.5 ecoboost, drove fine for a few days then started going into limp mode again. Can’t seem to find anyone in my town with a scanner good enough to open everything up to get codes. Truck has 189k on it and other than replacing spark plugs around 182k hasn’t had any mechanical issues since I purchased at 180k. At a total loss of what to do.

Problem being, if you take it to Ford, they will throw all kinds of different parts at it, trying to find out the cause...and you pay the $$ for them doing this! I recently had a PCM 'reprogram' for a 'limp mode' issue I've been having, so after $480.00, it's still doing it, and has done so 3 times now! Thus, will be changing the throttle body myself, hoping it will stop the issue.

Back into limp mode on the roadside feverishly researching UA-cam.
if you have an F150 read the story below.
Warning this is a long comment, but a synopsis of my current F150 woes and past events. I think it’s information that can help a bunch of people that are just learning about throttlebody issues.
So I just put on a jet throttlebody spacer and I have already gone through two other throttle bodies so technically I have three the one I just took off and I swapped it out with one of my old ones that I cleaned up and I came on here to try and find if there’s a Reset or something that I’m supposed to do with the throttle body spacer to program it to my truck because my truck didn’t act up until I was at least a mile and a half away from my house and now it goes into limp mode every 300 yards.
I had seen an older video where they put a throttlebody spacer on like an old GMC sierra, and they had to rev the engine three times for the first time they started it so I thought maybe I need to do that.
****** I don’t think it’s any of that stuff I think because I put the old throttlebody on with the spacer. The old one is still faulty regardless of how well I cleaned it it’s still not working, and it could be because the internal servo, or mechanism is faulty, and this unit is not going to work, no matter what I do.
To say that I’m pissed off at Ford is an understatement. I actually had bought the throttlebody spacer just as a perk when I was purchasing my exhaust because the catalytic converter had failed on my 2016 F150 so I replaced the exhaust from the cats all the way back and I got it all done for just under $2500 because Ford dealership wanted to charge me $1800 for one catalytic converter swap, and it gets better.
I have a coolant leak on one of the fittings on my passenger side turbo go ahead and do a search on some of that nonsense. You’ll find many videos about people getting coolant leaks off their turbo and it’s only a matter of time on the I believe my truck is second GEN 2 EcoBoost 😮F150 That the rubber gasket inside the fitting fails.
Why is it such a big bummer well, you can barely reach the darn fitting and you have to take the entire turbo off. And if you’re not aware that means disconnecting, coolant and oil lines and removing and displacing a bunch of stuff just to get to the darn thing . At this point it makes me wonder do I just replace the whole turbo at 118,000 miles and then you’ve got to get into all the other stuff that’s probably due to fail like a water pump or the vacuum pump on the back and what about the phasers and the timing chain and don’t forget I’ve already done the exhaust manifold on the driver side it would be so pleasant if the passenger side did the same thing and break one of the studs to make that gawd awful whistling noise when you press the accelerator.
On top of all that, I noticed massive amounts of oil on the side of the engine on my passenger side so potentially I have a head gasket that needs attention.
I’ve already put plenty of effort and time and money into maintaining my vehicle with frequent oil changes shocks rotating tires, replaced the fuel pump, the PCV valve and some other part on the engine, trying to chase down the catalytic converter code before ultimately swapping out the exhaust. I could’ve cheated it by putting a spacer on the cat but if you get caught with that they Call the authorities and write a citation so I did it the right way and I put it on myself.
It sounds awesome. I love the truck, well at least I want to love the truck and maybe it’s much better now meaning the 2017 F150 and up but this truck is a gigantic shit show. If you really look at everything going on and of course I could just do one project, but it’s such a pain to open the engine up and pull all of these parts off and it’s that question.
do you spend a little bit more money take more time and go a little further and replace three other items maybe let’s say that bound to fail and catch it before they go or just fix the one problem and hope for the best, but with my luck, it would be I would fix the fitting, and then all of a sudden something else would go like the turbo would fail I would hate to spend either 10 hours of my time or five hours or even let’s say six to $800 for a technician to go and pull the turbo off replace the fittings and put the thing back to only have to take it off in a few months to pay for all that labor all over again.
    Arrrrrrrggggg
Right now I was headed to go talk to my mechanic. I took the ender skirt out of the front driver side wheel well along with the fender flare, and I was going to go talk about the leak that I have now the oil on the side and get an opinion about whether or not, I need to replace the whole turbo or only replace the fitting. Of course they’re gonna want to talk me into more stuff but here I am on the roadside taking a break to write this so other people can avoid these pitfalls now I’m going to put it in Drive see how far I can get then I have to turn it off and then back on to get it out of limp mode and I’ll do this until I get home then I’ll swap the throttlebody outwith the last one I had in and potentially I’m going to buy another throttlebody and keep it in the truck so if this crap happens somewhere where I can’t get to an auto parts store I’m not SOL.
There are so many things that Ford should be covering and recalling but they don’t care. They are just straight up screwing the people that bought these trucks.
It’s crazy the truck is so fast and when it drives well, it’s awesome but the crazy part is the engine is designed not to succeed not to even be self sustainable, but to eventually become a failure in multiple areas and it pains me to say that because it shouldn’t be like this.
I do apologize for the long post, and try I understand no vehicle is without problems. I am beginning to have a strong distaste for this F150 and it’s bullshit.
I just hate to take the energy and time to fix things and make things right and stuff just continues to keep going wrong at what point do I just cut my losses and try to get into another vehicle and sell this one.
Hopefully some of this information helps someone if I receive a bunch of negative feedback or not so positive criticism, I’ll just delete the post. I don’t need any nonsense
Have a better day than me. 😂

Limp mode isn’t when your truck gives up ,my back ground is 30yrs as a tech and shop owner, anyway limp mode is when the ecm picks up a issues throws a code that is to do with drive ability & can possibly hurt the motor ie fuel cats 02 etc anyway it then goes into limp mode which is a lower power rating set to the point where u can safely drive without damage to the motor and Safey operate on a public road :)
that TB with a NA motor isn’t worth the $$ on a turbo motor size is almost always the most important factor to making overall power all things being equal temp fuel etc...
So putting a stock size TB back on it plus the fact you have upgraded turbos you have lost power ! Although the smaller TB will feel more responsive off idle as would most smaller TB’s And I’ve seen as much as 30-40 hp lost going back to a stock TB on a turbo/SC Application..the more psi & the larger the motor & or turbo the more size will effect it..on a stock set up its not as big a deal...good luck

It’s ridiculous as you say that people complain of all these limp mode issues while using aftermarket throttles without knowing how the tuning works. You are causing issues with the FMEM systems. You can thank Ford for torque based tuning logic. But also thank your self for not using Motorcraft for an important component like this one. You want power and not snake oil? Get a bigger turbo. Your throttle body WILL NEVER be a bottle neck with your tiny stock turbos..do you know the specs of your turbo wheels? If you did you wouldn’t try foolishly upgrading your throttle.
