1. Stretch lids - I have a set, and not ashamed of them. Pretty sure I got mine from Temu & I think you just need to not fear the stretch. All the rest are pretty much wasted plastic, silicone, or rubber.
I do have some of these items from Temu, I just opened another package I just got while watching this one, I paused at 19:45 at the spiralizer, my wife loves that thing, you put a finger in the circle and just spin it around, she uses it on potatoes and it works amazing. 👋🤠 P.S. it is meant to make the slices thin, you do not have to press hard like he did, with a finger, you turn it and the threads do the work for you.
He pushed it all in at first, so there were no 'threads' to speak of. After that, he just instantly starting pushing it down, so again, he would gouge the inside out the entire time. That being said, I'm not sure I would trust that plastic to have contact with food. The design itself certainly works (he just used it wrong), but the material may not be a good idea to use with things that may contain acids or alkali.
The steering wheel cover is pretty useless, when there's already full windshield covers which do pretty much the same job, and keep the interior cooler.
The can covers are great if you have cats that regularly knock your things over. I even have the bottle covers. I will warn you, though, if it sits too long, it will build up pressure and shoot right off! 😂
I'm glad I'm willing and capable of teaching my cats. They've knocked over 1 drink in their lives. They don't get on surfaces that come in contact with food and drinks either.
The grip and flip gadget is perfect for disabled people who have mobility issues. It's the only way I can fry an egg or make pancakes cause I can't use a regular spatula. It can be annoying but it works
The glasses, I think it's important to mention, you'd really want to have some certification. Having them widen your pupils due to the shading, but letting through invisible UV light unimpeded makes for a great f-ing up your retina speedrun
Covering your arms from sunlight is good. The trick with those sleeves is if you're sweating they multiply your surface area by about 6 on your arms from a cooling standpoint and they keep excessive sweat from just dripping off. Its a very good idea. Down here the lawn guys use cheap hoodies for coverage.
With the ice cube trays and any food-related products, I'd be concerned that the plastic is made with lead and other toxic substances since there's no safety regulations over there.
The Soda Topper thing is only good if you can backhand the soda it covers off the counter, and it doesn't pop off and send coke flying when it hits the floor. That's extreme, though, maybe lightly knock it on its side and leave it like that for 10 minutes. Otherwise, it's not superb for children's parties, much less their rooms... Also, the whole plastic stuff from Temo for humans to fix to the top of their soda cans kind of means the rest of what I said was redundant, because you don't want to have that plastic touch any of your orifices, or swallow part of it. 10/10 I know what I'm doing for Christmas.
I've never understood why people want 15 different gadgets that all do a singular thing each to fruits and vegetables when all you need is a knife to do all of them.
People with poor motor skills, lack of dexterity, arthritis... plenty of reasons why someone might want a tool over trying to use a knife (where the knife will need more actual work than some of these tools). Also, these tools are made to peel/do just the skin. A knife is easy to take "more of the flesh" than you mean to. Like peeling potatoes with a peeler vs a knife - peeler will get just the skin more often than not.
These tools, or rather, tools like that, do it faster and easier. For example that spiral thingy. In a restaurant that decided to use such spiral design for a popular dish, using a knife can bring largely different results. Using a (good) tool for that will give out consistent result with little skill and quickly. It's exactly how you don't really need a bunch of different wrenches, instead using just one adjustable spanner. But anyone that does any serious work will prefer wrenches because once you do have the right wrench, it will make the job easier and better. If someone has the space in their kitchen and likes doing various stuff in it? Sure, why not. But for anything sharp (and in fact, anything in contact with food), it's better to not buy anything super cheap. Buy at least 'entry level' quality, like the stuff you can find in actual specialty shops like Ikea. Plastic has such a vast variety to it and vast majority of them are extremely toxic and actually dissolve when in contact with some food (like fruit juices!). You're already drinking plastic when buying bottled drinks. Avoid eating even more (and more toxic version) by buying extremely cheap stuff like that. Likewise, for things meant to be sharp, it is far easier to cut yourself with the 'sharp' things that are not that sharp. The sharper the blade is the less likely you are to cut yourself, since you can use less strength, and that means, you will have more control over it at all times. So...All the food products here? Probably a pass, even the ones that work as advertised (due to likely toxic materials). Products like that, but made from food-grade stainless steel for example? Sure.
I so appreciate how u seriously go all out for ur reviews to give real world scenarios whenever possible. The way u splashed in the muddy puddle for instance. Love ur channel & hugs to Bailey too❣️❣️❣️
I used to use a clean Dominos garlic dipping sauce container to seal my pop can while I was fishing to keep out the red ants after one bit my lip. It snaps on like it was made for it
Those sunglasses would be great at the dentist to block their bright light and keep the bits they fling all over off your regular glasses. Rather than wearing heavy shirts with sleeves or using those things, get some hiking shirts from a store like REI, they have super light weight breathable shirts that offer sun protection as well so you have long sleeves but they're made for summer.
That's interesting! It seems like it should work in theory, but I've never found that they worked. I used my original Fur Zapper until it fell apart, and not once did I think, "Oh it really got all the hair off this time!"
@@FreakinreviewsI had thought that you just use them to dab on the clothes and pick the hair up. I didn’t realise you got them wet and when you said you wash with them, I thought G will that stop the stick in this working. (Stickiness)
I have a similar pair I use for gardening - the little hairs on squash plants give me a rash, so when I'm harvesting or cutting back I stick them on. Not so much for cooling, though.
@kathykrisko3228 I have 2 thicker arm sleeves that are printed with "do not draw blood or take blood pressure on this arm" from the hospital lol. I had skin grafts and some some bumps removed from one arm they constantly wanted to use it for pressure and blood and the so one nurse grabbed a sleeve. I too them home and use then inside out to keep my arms from getting all scratched while I'm berry picking. I have several spots of wild black raspberries and they have big thorns. My wild blackberries do too. It's cooler than wearing a long sleeved shirt yet still protects my arms. Now if you had old t-shirts you don't wear you could easily make tubes for sleeves
I would think the steering wheel cover will work better when put on before the wheel is hot, because putting it on when the wheel is already got well... The cover is going to act as more of an insulator. It's doing anything to actively cool things.
The stretch lids if you look at the circles on the lids that shows how big of a diameter of bowl or whatever you are trying to cover it fits. The smallest one will fit the coke can and soup cans and some smaller bowls. The larger lid will fit many larger bowls. I have a set I love it.
4:53 this seems like it would honestly work best to combine the two pieces and submerge it all underwater to fill it and make sure all the air bubbles are out then freeze. I feel like if you do it this way there won’t be those nasty looking edges on it like there is now.
Sometime times I have nails and sometimes not so opening a pop top can be “interesting”! I found that a soup spoon from my regular utensil set works perfectly to open a pop top! Ans it really works well for people with hand issues (like older people, etc.). And it’s not a piece of cheap plastic!
I uave multiple of these, in various sizes, all the way up to ones that make D20 shaped cubes the size of a billards ball, ALL work the same way, you fill it through the hole to actually make the shape.
Those ones are designed to be filled from the top. These smaller ones aren't. I can only imagine how long it would take to fill this one from the top. We had some when I was a child (25ish years ago) and the written instructions actually said to fill and press. Granted, it also said how much liquid was required so it didn't squirt out the top at force
I don't think it does work. I think it's so cheap it won't cut unless he puts pressure on it. The real ones are metal and sharp. Temu is cheap and plastic.
@@ASMR-Arboretum It does work. He literally showed it does. He just pushed it with force all the way in, so the threads had nothing to grab onto the first time (hence why the first spiral broke of after two circles...the spiral had nothing to hold onto if he squashed it all). After that, he would instantly wreck the center again by pushing it in at an angle. Plastic can be very sharp. More than sharp enough to cut things that you bite into. Now, whether this plastic is safe for contact with food and how long it would last...that's another debate.
The wine bottle stopper has been on sale since the beginning of the 1960s since plastics became available. Grandma had an assortment of them as well as ones that you could plug into like oranges and lemons to get the juice out of them.
Put a long spoon handle, spoon end up, through the hole on the egg separator handle. Hange the spoon handle off the edge of the counter. Now you have an anchor to keep the separator on the bowl. I hope that makes sense.
These are what I call banana box specials lol where I live, where you go to a flea market, there will be people who sell cheap Chinese products and they are always in banana boxes in rows on the floor with cheap knockoff items you would find on temu and wish lol. Every time banana boxes. Not knocking it, I've actually found a few things over the years like the knockoff lint brush for a couple bucks. Don't know why it's always banana boxes, but it is lol
I'm the exception that proves the rule with Temu, I guess. I've purchased a sweater, a purse, and a set of tote bags, and all are top quality. No CC issues, either, which I can't say for either PayPal or Amazon. I think ordering online is always going to be a crapshoot.
I thought with that spiralizer you put your finger in the hole and turn it that way instead of turning the cucumber. Not sure if it's make any difference (probably not much) but I am pretty sure that's how Ive seen people use them. Don't have one so can't confirm...
The steering wheel cover wasn't a valid test since you started out with a hot steering wheel and the cover only trapped the heat in. You needed to start with a cool steering wheel and see if the cover kept it from getting hot. The spatula is for eggs with no broken yolks that you need to flip and not break the yolk. My mother bought one in the 70s which I have now and just used last night. It works great for what it was made for which was flipping eggs with an unbroken yolk.
The lime green spiral cutter you used on the cucumber give that a redo, cut end off cucumber press in till the threads start touching, screw into cucumber insert finger at the other end start a spinning/screwing till the end. I've had a metal one and plastic over the years. Potatoes cucumbers are easiest. Maybe a zucchini.
my problem with the silk sleeves is that they may not be UV resistant, they may still let in quite a bit of UV rays so you could still end up getting sunburnt through the sleeves
Obviously it's to be expected from Temu, but incase some don't know, their products can be very toxic. For example some of their products were found to have high levels of heavy metals in them which can cause serious health problems. I'd be sure to throw these products out afterwards, especially ones that your wear or come in contact with food.
It had crossed my mind that many of these items could be from China, which has a very bad reputation for contaminated foods and products. I have lead testing swabs, I'd test everything.
the reason the spiralizer has the SCREW threads is that it supposed to pull itself through the fruit/vegetable and the blade will cut it at same size. i have had a "real one" with my knives and its a plastic screw part with a metal knife part...
Cheap sunglasses are worse than nothing. They encourage your pupils to dilate, allowing more dangerous UV light in, damaging your retinas. Good sunglasses block UV.
Sunglasses: the important thing with Sunglasses is that they must filter UV light. If they don't more UV light will enter your, because of the dark tint, pupil dilated eyes and cause damage.
I was thinking that spatula would be pretty useless. Once something is cooked enough to not stick to it, you don't need to flip it anymore. Great video!
The sleeves seem to be ice silk which is a new material the Chinese came out with several years ago. It’s a more breathable material. They also make underwear with it and they are very comfortable and you don’t sweat as much and they dry fast.
Why would you think that was a vegetable peeler? It's a wavy slicer, why would you peel with a wavy blade? That green spiralizer outwitted you too, you're supposed to hold the veg in one hand and put your finger through the hole on the end and spin it around that way. Give it another go, best of luck :)
You did the spiralizer wrong , you push it in the veg , hold the veg STILL,put your finger in the hole in the spiralizer and turn round and round

The grip and flip gadget is perfect for disabled people who have mobility issues. It's the only way I can fry an egg or make pancakes cause I can't use a regular spatula. It can be annoying but it works
Weatherproof shoe covers?!?! Kids in school when I was growing up just turned up with Walmart bags on them. 😂
Egg separators I will never lose. They are called fingers.
try the shoe covers on wet tile! little portable slip and slides in an instant! hahahah
The glasses, I think it's important to mention, you'd really want to have some certification. Having them widen your pupils due to the shading, but letting through invisible UV light unimpeded makes for a great f-ing up your retina speedrun
The shoe covers would be very handy for home health care workers. Many people don't want you to step into their house with your shoes on.
A saying comes to mind. You get what you pay for.
Yeah sadly most of them work as advertise.
That's a lie. Many "luxury" brands make cheap products that they charge out the ass for.
What a great idea have a crazy gadgets Christmas party to exchange....sounds fun😂
I've never understood why people want 15 different gadgets that all do a singular thing each to fruits and vegetables when all you need is a knife to do all of them.
Perhaps they could be useful for disabled people.
Sure.
@@DyanosisI have arthritis and I wouldn't use any of those except the lid covers

Rather than wearing heavy shirts with sleeves or using those things, get some hiking shirts from a store like REI, they have super light weight breathable shirts that offer sun protection as well so you have long sleeves but they're made for summer.
use to make the original furzappers at the factory I work at, I never really thought they were the best working product either
That's interesting! It seems like it should work in theory, but I've never found that they worked. I used my original Fur Zapper until it fell apart, and not once did I think, "Oh it really got all the hair off this time!"

Coming from Temu:
the *Real* test would be how these fair in a laboratory, testing what they are made up of.
Temu selling the long gloves people wear with thigh high socks as arm coolers is kinda hilarious
I have a similar pair I use for gardening - the little hairs on squash plants give me a rash, so when I'm harvesting or cutting back I stick them on. Not so much for cooling, though.
I was thinking repurposed pantyhose...
I also use it when I'm gardening. I use to protect from UV rays. Not to help to keep me cooler
Warehouse workers are optionally provided those at amazon, to protect your arms.
LOVED the “Popeye” impression!!! LOL!!! 😂🤣😅😆❤😊
The term "ice silk" refers to a thin, silky, polyester. It has nothing to do with cooling qualities.
Not sure if you have a Daiso near you. But you should check out their kitchen tools and test them out. I heard they are decent. 😊
Well you cannot get it for a dollar for sure.
The wine stoppers from Amazon pour well also, unlike the Temu knockoffs.
I wanted to scream into my phone when he was testing the spiralizer. 😱 Hold the fruit or veg and turn the handle. 😅
That Grip n Flip knock off would be great for grilled cheese.
I’ve never had a hard time cooking grilled cheese.
EGG SEPERATER....A SLOTTED SPOON that is already in your kitchen for cooking.
Or, ya know, just use your hands or the shell itself.
4:53 this seems like it would honestly work best to combine the two pieces and submerge it all underwater to fill it and make sure all the air bubbles are out then freeze. I feel like if you do it this way there won’t be those nasty looking edges on it like there is now.
The soda can with the lid had to fart, lmao 😅
Your neuroticism is what I love the most. Super consistent awesome content
Sometime times I have nails and sometimes not so opening a pop top can be “interesting”! I found that a soup spoon from my regular utensil set works perfectly to open a pop top! Ans it really works well for people with hand issues (like older people, etc.). And it’s not a piece of cheap plastic!
I LOVE the long video format. I know it’s not something you can do often though. I fully understand the extreme level of work that went into this.
Well..Your Old Enough To Know Eggs Come With Their Own Separator😂
My old enough to know eggs come with their own separator, what? You used the correct "their" but the wrong "you're*." 😛
Check those items for lead especially the ones in food contact
The lid to the ice cube tray has holes for a reason, you fill it, AFTER putting the lid on, THATS how you get spheres.
Scrolled way too far down to find this comment. Thank you! That was driving me nuts 😂
🤣🤣🤣👍
No, the lid is to go on after filling the bottom tray. The lid also needs to be pushed right down in order to get the spheres, with no "edges" though
Just a wild guess, but I doubt that any of the food items are actually food-safe
“Feels cheap”
Well that’s because it is.
James, you are going to be so embarrassed when you look up how that spiral slicer works
Grandma had an assortment of them as well as ones that you could plug into like oranges and lemons to get the juice out of them.
wow, you agravated me so much on how you used that spiralizer.
Love the fact that you are pounding Temu for the garbage they pass off as products.
Put a long spoon handle, spoon end up, through the hole on the egg separator handle. Hange the spoon handle off the edge of the counter. Now you have an anchor to keep the separator on the bowl. I hope that makes sense.
"It can't be this bad!" Yes, it can, lol. Thanks for the entertaining content, man.
You're correct. I have one that the handle part is thin metal that I've used on potatoes & zucchini that works good & makes even sized slices.
@@typemee3757 okay cool, that's what I was thinking 😁👍
The sleeves, could work to protect your arms from the sun, when driving... I guess
These longer videos are awesome especially on a weekend!!! Keep it up!!!
For the Arm Sleeves, another thing I would do is dip them in ice cold water before using, that way it can cool for a while until it dries eventually
Glasses look better than those Golden Girls round frame gold glasses.
The wine poured doesn't pour, so I'd be surprised if it leaked! 😂
People please stop buying this crap landfill junk. Sorry James only so many egg gadgets you can stomach..
On the ice cube tray you're supposed to fill to the fill line then add water in the holes on top
Maybe a zucchini.
on the peeler, did you try going the other way - pull it instead of pushing it?
It's going to take a bit of practice too before you get uniform-width spirals too. As someone who had one back in the day.
my problem with the silk sleeves is that they may not be UV resistant, they may still let in quite a bit of UV rays so you could still end up getting sunburnt through the sleeves
Isn't Temu the website I use to buy things so that I am SURE my credit card information will be stolen?
Buys cheap gadgets, complains about them feeling cheap. 😂
By the way... the smallest silicon lid can be stretched to fit a soda can without any problem.
I kept yelling at the TV use the small one on the soda can and try it on the smaller soup can! 😂
You should keep the cucumber still and WITHOUT pressure turn that slicer around! Then it is nice and thin and still a spiral!
@@hopefletcher7420 So like most products? You'd be hard-pressed to find something not made in China and/or a sweat shop these days.
the reason the spiralizer has the SCREW threads is that it supposed to pull itself through the fruit/vegetable and the blade will cut it at same size. i have had a "real one" with my knives and its a plastic screw part with a metal knife part...
Yeah it's one of those things that SEEMS like a good idea, until you use it. Then it's more like, "Nah, I'll stick with my spatula and tongs!"
Companies make a fortune with junk like this because it costs so little that no one bothers to return the item or ask for a refund.
