On February 4, 2008, this was the first song to be beamed into outer space by NASA. Aimed at the North Star, Polaris, 431 light-years away from Earth, it travels across the universe at a speed of 186,000 miles per second (300,000 kps) and will arrive there in the year 2439.

Miss you, John!
George once said as long as John is dead, we won't get back together.
One of my favorite songs from the Beatles.
😮.
My favourite Lennon song. Better than Imagine.
@@triplejazzmusicisall1883 Way better.
Just 4 men, each genius in their own right, come together to scream into the cold void of existence, coloring the air as best they could.
Yess
All a genius except for Ringo. Sorry, but he’s no Jon Bonham or Mitch Mitchell.
George Martin was the 5th genius. With his classical music training, he had a great impact on their songs.

really changed my life, too
@@ypramusic1Minute. once a psychic told John he would get shot on an island, he then cancel the trip to an island he was planning but then move to New York City not realizing it's really called Manhattan island where he was shot!

They all did
The Beatles,,,,,, perfection!!!
That voice, that voice

The beatles are just... legends ! what else can I say.
We are so lucky to have had these four guys compose music in our lifetimes ……… Simply magical. 👍😎🇳🇿✨🌹🎸

The Beatles songs are still light years ahead of the music today.
It's not very difficult
@@zaziou711garbage comment cause you’re short sighted
LITERALLY
It is incredible how much The Beatles evolved and changed popular music over the course of 6-7 years. No band before or since has had such an impact over such a short period.
@davidg3283 100% right, the evolution from album to album is incredible. Most bands popularity take a dive. Not the Fab Four!
Brilliant song; what a beautiful band they were! People worry about why they split up, and are still mad about it, but all things come to an end, and we might as well be thankful for the hundreds of grand songs they recorded while they streaked across our sky like comets!
hWat a refreshing change and perspective that I fully agree with you on. The Beatles being so huge are endlessly analysed to the point the music comes second. We should be thankful and love the music throughout our lives. cheers
I don't know what it is but I just LOVE Lennon's voice!
There's nothing quite like it!
This make me cry. Pure artistry the Beatles rock. Old wnough to remember the British fabulous "FOUR". 😊 ❤
one of many of john's beatles songs that were genius masterpieces...dear prudence, don't let me down, help, etc
On and on and on and on.
Nowhere man, in my life, sexie sadie...
Julia is one of my favorites by John
@@Tyson-zo6smHe wrote a song about his mom. Ho hum.
Don't let me down is kind of low tier.
I've never paid any attention to this song. I only just this minute appreciate just how well played it is - the bass, in particular, and the complementary drumming, are really superb....
How is it possible a group of 25 year old party boys sat down and wrote this piece of magic.
What a contribution to music history they was. The only bad thing is that is impossible to make something better, so we will never see a band like the Beatles again
Beatles forever ❤
Lsd
Only George was still 25 at this time, the others were older
It was one British party boy and he was 28 when he wrote it. 29 here. Not down playing it’s brilliance just stating the facts
@@etiennemarshallthach3736try and write some tunes then
John is a genius!
❤
I love how he adds the “I wish it f*cking would” because I have found myself adding similar adlibs.
My God, this group of guys had the mother-load of musical talent. How many bands could sit around casually, goofing off and wind up with a tune like Across The Universe? I don’t understand where the ability to command that sort of channeling to exotic places in the musical cosmos comes from. They were a special group of individuals at a unique time in history, and their catalogue of music says the rest. Very cool video footage, especially for those of us who grew up with their music but could rely only on our imagination to understand their methods. I think that there are very many people like me who developed a mental picture of The Beatles creating those amazing records.
Especially from the rest of meditation era, john bring more his life for music and make lyrics so powerful. george being communicative in spiritual too. Best era for me in White Album. Very Creative and Colorful.
Love from me Terry. Thx for stopping
@@ypramusic1Minute. it’s been my pleasure. Thank you. Peace.
Story goes that John wrote the song one night in bed, not being able to fall asleep and feeling like he just had to get the song out of him
Eventually, "nothing" changes everyone's world. So yeah, he's spot-on here.
You are most probably correct .
I love this song. John is fantastic
Eu também ❤❤❤
John was everything.imagine all the music we missed out on....
He should’ve imagined there were no guns a little harder
@@wesleycary4965 He never said imagine no guns though. Maybe you should listen a little harder.
@@CB-xr1eg “imagine there’s no guns” see! It’s in quotation marks so it’s obviously a real thing that he said. Anywho, either he didn’t imagine there were no guns, or he didn’t imagine that hard enough. Both outcomes mean there are still guns and he got assassinated. I’m really funny and a great person to be around, you just didn’t get it. But that’s ok, your wife can get it.

Beautiful evolution of a lovely Beatles song.
When I was a teen I would sleep with the radio on and would wake to listen to this song ... I'd fall back to sleep when it finished... A bit of magic.. ✌
Beautiful surreal song. 😊❤
Уникальные золотые моменты!
Those beginning chords shine light upon my heart.
Its interesting to see how a great song emerges from such embryonic stages
Of course, it is John's song all along but Paul's harmonies are spot on even in this raw version.
would love to hear a full version with his harmonies.
John and Paul split co-writing credits - not sure the details, are you?
@@GregoryGuay they split credit, which means every song they wrote was under the Lennon-McCartney partnership. However, not every song was written together. In fact, even after the beatle breakup, some of their solo songs still had credit to eachother despite having no influence whatsoever. This is because the partnership lasted until 1970.
@@schneedlemusic Did they just agree on a general partnership for a certain amount of time or was it a song by song basis? Thanks, I've been researching a bit of this but had not come across this detail yet!

JOHN LENNON was born to be a BEATLE " he has such a beautiful singing voice. BEATLES 4 EVER 🍏!!!!!!!
I can't love this song enough. It has the unmistakable Lennon lyric poetry to it. I have anxiety problems, and when I'm home...I always play this. It calms me down.
What a beautiful song. Poor John didn't realize something would change his world a few years later. 😭💔
commie
What are you talking about
Can you imagine the joy of being a Beatle and playing on the other Beatles' songs? I don't think Paul has ever gotten over it. That bond has only increased over time. It's like Mozart was in a band with Beethoven.
And beyond that perfect artistic match, they seemed to have a blast every day in the studio. Their new band members must have felt very dull after that.
steady on😂
@@zaziou711 NO. Not for John or George. E.g. The Plastic Ono Band. John played with whoever he wanted to at the time.
Same as George. Not stuck in one specific band.
Even his Traveling Wilburys were a bunch of friends just having fun.
They didn't sign on for longevity. They just made music together.
Wings was a different story.
Paul either fired them or had multiple band members quit on him.
In George's words: "I wouldn't make music with him again because he's not fun."
Masterpiece
Love how Paul is trying to mimic the Indian instrument ❤
John was a genius
John, Paul and George were all musical geniuses. Their solo careers were just as brilliant as their Beatles years.

Love the bass guitar in this version
Love this look inside. Great music.
Love this song!!!😊
Absolutely, another gem from John Lennon and his band mates 🎉😮😅😊
This song was originally a poem and John wanted to write it that way with music. This song is a lyric song that really needs no melody structure like the other songs they wrote .
You can tell George is all on board this song.
So many great songs, no other band has ever bettered them. Awesome.
The greatest band ever was,,,, You got that Sir Pauly.
