Just binged the whole show. Loved it. The people that created the show did an amazing job of capturing the spirit and tone of Fallout . Really hope there's a season 2.

I came into the series with very low expectations but i was blown away by it! Even the soundtrack took me on a nostalgia trip to Fallout 1 days.
Todd said, "another one, then another one" if all goes well, the seasons will keep coming. Let's hope Walton stays on board. Have you seen his filmography? He is always busy.
Season 2 was already going to happen before 1 even released, regardless of Tod's claim about fan reaction, and it's been officially confirmed now. I'm certainly interested in seeing more.

He's hard to ignore though I will now be a "Goosey" fan forever because she was capable of carrying the plot as well
He's great but the show works because of many good actors and well written characters.
No idea how the first season ends obviously, but if they do get a S2 and S1 ends on a bit of an ambiguous cliffhanger, assuming they would have had hopes for a second season while producing the first, I think a solid 2 seasons per setting and cast characters would make for a decent Fallout TV show structure. It gives you plenty of room for character and story development to make the viewers feel as if they were really immersed in this one location, time, and characters. Then you move on to a new cast, location, story, etc.
It's important thing to avoid the "jumping the shark" curse, that many multi-season long running tv shows get themselves trap into...

There will be New Vegas next season, they showed it at the end of season 1. Todd Howard also confirmed it in an interview.

Love that Nolan played the games. I knew someone in the right position had to have played them b/c the attention to detail that makes "Fallout" immersive had to have someone who was crafting this thing from a place of love and respect for the fallout world. Great job!!!
I wasn't sure what I saw and then Todd's name popped up in the credit. I'm like oh they were real about this, a legit fallout tv series based on the lore. And then Goggins and Purnell just stole that flag and took it back to base

It sounds to me like they were concerned about balancing the humor and getting it right, since Nolan and Robertson-Dworet both have history in serious dramatic writing and understand their own limitations in the realm of comedy. Nolan did say that's why Wagner was brought on, and why the show has two writers: one for sci-fi drama (Robertson-Dworet), and one for comedy (Wagner). Both writers coordinate together to balance each other's specialties, so both the drama and comedy can hit hard at the appropriate moments.
Now, whether they actually achieved that goal or not we will all see for ourselves soon enough. But, Nolan definitely understands his own limitations, and that's why the show has two writers instead of just one (well, two "main" writers, there are a bunch of smaller episodic writers, and whether or not they "get" the humor is yet to be seen).
As long as they don't rely on bathos humor, we should be fine. That's the kind where a super-serious scene is instantly turned super-trivial with something utterly ridiculous (such as slapstick or fart jokes). Marvel had a fetish for it when I stopped watching years ago, and it made all of their work utterly ridiculous to the point that I just can't take it seriously anymore. In fact, it was Marvel's use of bathos that even introduced me to the term (the example was specifically a "Hero shot" of the Avengers walking in slow motion before going into battle, and The Hulk trips on a rock--it was unnecessary and disrupted the emotion--"pathos"--of the scene).
Fallout on Prime was absolutely phenomenal, captured the vibe and feel of the games perfectly, the casting, action, story everything was top notch. Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten were expertly cast as Lucy and Maximus So excited for season 2, and Walton Goggins absolutely stole the show as the Ghoul/ Cooper Howard, scene stealing performance from him.

Todd is not the “original director of the game”!
TBF, there is no "director" of a game. It's a weird word translation for TV-centric audiences who don't know how game studios work, and diving into the complexities of Tim Cain vs Todd Howard is not their forte--so they will take the shortest route to letting viewers know "this guy made the games" and leave the details for nerds who care.

@@cryptophoenix2023There is a director of a game. Todd Howard is credited as Game Director in multiple games. Look up the credits to Fallout 3, Skyrim, Fallout 4, Starfield. He's also Executive Producer.
He isn't the original director because Fallout was owned by Interplay when it was first made. The director of the old Fallout had the title of division director and that was Feargus Urquhart.
Tim Cain was Producer, Lead Programmer, Original Game Design for Fallout 1.
For Fallout 2 he was Additional Programming, SPECIAL Game System Design, Original Game Design. He wasn't a game director.
There are other director positions in gaming, some on the publishing side but games can have directors too. There are also art directors and other positions.
This is why credits are important. When you finish a game, you get credits. There is a website you can see the credits on as well. Simply search on Google and results will show up.
So while he may not be the original director, he is still a game director. It's not his only role but it's one of his roles.

they dropped the ball they should’ve been released weekly just from a business standpoint because then people would’ve been feening in fallout they’ve already made 75 free across the board at the minute. They could’ve been driving players into 75 for eight weeks.
