He has absolutely NAILED every role I have ever seen him in. This role looks like it is no exception. I am really chomping at the bit to see this show, he is just going to make it all the more awesome :).
He's fantastic in the older TV series The Shield. That's the first time I remember seeing him and being blown away
The consistency and passion he pours into his roles is what made me take notice. You nailed it, he has never turned in a mediocre performance even when his role was very small. He steals scenes
@@indetrucksI'm definitely thinking of starting to watch The Shield. I saw multiple seasons when they came out but not sure if I saw all of em and definitely don't remember a whole lot.. Other than that I really liked em. He was great in that show.

I’m SOOOO glad Tarantino started using him. He’s easily one of my favorite actors in Hollywood right now
His Character was the center of the show for me. But all three needed just a few more scenes together, but otherwise I think the magic behind the show is how well the Cast just bounced off each other and how the Story and World Building worked well together, tackling extreme things without Sacrificing the Story at hand.
Cooper had the best presence and most quotable lines.
Look out at this wasteland, and it looks like chaos, but there's always somebody behind the wheel
Best of all he's a character straight out of gaming. Like when you play a thief/assassin/vampire in Skyrim.
He's like a sane version of Trevor Philips

I do agree...however Steven Ogg (Trevors VA)needs to play Trevor in a live action series...as well as the rest of the GTA 5s VAs for the roles they voiced.
Goggins we all need to see as live action Cecil Stedman from invincible. Too damn perfect to not portray him in live action.

THIS is how you do a game adaptation. Respect the original story for the existing fanbase and make it approachable by new viewers. Love Walton Goggins, such a great actor.
I'll give him that. The 80s was a blast. We had a movie theater that was only a $1 per movie but only played new releases 3 weeks after they came out. The best part was the Arcade. $5 and you can stay and play unlimited games from 11am to midnight every day. My parents dropped me and my brother off every weekend. They said it was cheaper than a baby sitter. The old Fox Theater. Great times.
I forgot the Arcade had two stories of games. Over a hundred plus arcade machines. Not lame games the newest stuff was available as well.

People would be hesitant to just drop their kids off somewhere these days because there are so many people who have been deranged by social media and isolation. Sad really. Where did we go wrong?
Damn straight! I was born in 1970. All through the 80s I remember saving up quarters and riding my bike to the arcade to play the latest games. The mall had the best but the small local arcade I could get to without my parents driving me. When they got the old vector graphics Star Wars in I lived on that machine. Even before then there was Battlezone at the local pizza shop. Absolutely great memories.
We had one like that an old one with Velvet curtains, we would pay to see a kids film then sneak in to see robocop or predator instead all for one pound.
Walton just stating he has a favorite game that's a passion gives me so much hope for his role.
Its not fallout, but i do believe that passion for whatever game, can translate as he understands that he would want his favourite game to be portrayed properly!

That’s kind of an insult. I loved Bill Paxton, but he wasn’t a very good actor. He was pretty much the same guy in every movie, except for True Lies. He was phenomenal in True Lies. Walton actually becomes his characters.

You guys feel like he’s underrated? He’s been just awesome in everything I’ve seen him in. I’m happy he got this role and hope the show does all right. I’m cautiously excited for it.

They don't know the difference between popularity and quality. Goggins doesn't trend as much as the goofy social celebrities do.
@@bentucker2301 Eh too be fair, he has been underrated for a very long time. He was amazing in the Shield but he didnt make his way into being the leading man on tv shows for years after that, and he wasn’t a leading man in Hollywood films until Tarantino took notice.
Is he underrated now? No. But he was for like 20 years before that.

walton is an incredible actor and has paid his dues. I remember watching him in the shield in those days, he was my favorite. He stole the show in fallout to be honest, they struck gold with him.

Walton' is a super friendly, down to Earth dude with an iron handshake. His wife, Nadia, is among the coolest and smartest folks possible. Both deserve all the best because they have both worked so hard against so many odds while remaining sincerely kind people.
Picking this man for the Fallout show is the best thing that could have happened.
He fits this role perfectly, and I can't describe how much I am hyped for the upcoming seasons.
They've created such a perfect project with this series, and I can't wait to get more of it!
And maybe one day we'll see a spin-off about 'The Ghoul.' There is so much potential and so much to explore, and I would definitely love it if they can maintain high quality and storytelling.

As a 42 year old life long fan of the Fallout series. You guys did a fantastic job. I always imaged it a little more mad max...however, this TV series is damn good. Well done ... you all should be proud of this work.
Im only a few years younger than Walton and have played every fallout game from fallout 2 onwards. However i remember the old school arcades and those early video games with great fondness

After watching Fallout S1, Mr. Goggins was a 10/10 casting choice, coolest Ghoul that ever Ghouled while eating ass jerky.
Huge Walton Goggins fan and The Ghoul is probably his best role ever. He has to play so many shades of the character. It must have been great fun for him. The main reason I watch the series is Walton.
I've been a fan of him since he was Shane Vandrell on The Shield. And how he acted in Fallout, which is easily one of my favorite game series of all time makes me like him more. Well done Walton!

He's the guy with the most flashbacks, with the most XP and perks. so he's the wanderer, Lucy's the Vault Dweller. and there's the BOS outcast.
I had the fun honor of working with him on a recent film and as always he shined bright. One evening we got stuck on a rooftop at a hotel smoking cigarettes during filming but it turned out it was just a door you had to pull rather than push to get back in lol.
Fantastic guy though and fun on set. I've worked with bigger names and stars but he was the one where I had to keep pinching myself and saying "is this real?"
"for the tomatoes" as he's tossing the caps to the ground was actually a great little moment in the show.
That Ghoul scene shootout they referenced was awesome, he nailed that role to perfection, I've never rooted for a ghoul so hard in my life!

Walton is perfect as the ghoul, but even better in the clips of his life before the bombs drop. Fallout actually turned out way more interesting/intriguing than I anticipated. And the LA flashback scenes are beautifully filmed. Great artistry all around. Oh, and huge kudos for Ella Purnell's range in portraying Lucy.

Thats awesome, i was born in 77 so we still had arcades in the late 80's and 90s, cant tell you how many hundreds or even thousands of hours i spent in Arcades, i miss those days so much.

My best friend's dad managed one of the two arcades in the mall near my high school - the one which operated on tokens, not quarters. Every day his shift coincided with our lunch hour he'd give the two of us HANDFULLS of tokens. Oh, and that mall had a KFC all you can eat buffet. High School was AWESOME.
Walton Goggins is, in my opinion, one of the greatest actors working today. He’s usually the best part of whatever project he’s in.

I am so excited for the Ghoul character because a) Walton Goggins is an amazing actor and b) I’m a sucker for ghoul characters and The Ghoul seems to be a great amalgamation of Charon, Raul, and Hancock. He’s tough and menacing like Charon, is a gunslinger like Raul, and judging from the drugs like; he’s a chem user like Hancock and also has Hancock’s wit. Just so excited to see what they do with this character!!!
He better have an actual name besides the ghoul, if not I'm just gonna call him Hancock

The real question is whether or not he still goes by that name though. I can see him being really hardened and not wanting to go be called that or remember the old days at all, but Lucy will soften him a little and he will open up and maybe allow it. Just a trope-based guess.

@@HungrySlothDEFCON1Todd Howard didn’t create Fallout. Bethesda bought the rights to Fallout after Interplay/Black Isle went bankrupt in the early 2000s. All the good Fallout games were created by Black Isle and Obsidian anyway.
*This show was phenomenal. The first 3 episodes were slow, but it started the series off with details and events. After that, the show was incredible. I am psyched for season 2.*
