60 Minute Soothing Evening Vinyasa Flow

- This is a 60 minute soothing evening vinyasa flow yoga class for those practitioners who have a more established practice. Emphasizing breath and movement with limited alignment cues (less talk !) so you move gracefully and fluidly in your own body and connect more fully with your breath. Class is also 'push up' free. It's soothing, flowing, continuous and spacious without too much overeffort.
Class begins with reclined bound angle pose, reclined twist and a hip groin stretch, then flows through our standing series of postures, including warriors, balances, wide legged forward folds, crab and pyramid variation in a flowing, repetitive sequence. Landing toward the end of the class into pigeon pose and reclined twist. Seated alternative nostril breathing and a generous shavasana.
This class is ideal as an after work, evening practice when you'd like to move but not overexert yourself.

Good Evening! I loved this practice tonight! Just right for me! My windows are open , nature is singing and slight gentle rain is falling! The practice is perfect for where I am in my moment🥰. @@TwoBirdsYoga Definitely a favorite. I don't mind chataranga now and again, but I love the half flows between plank and down dog in this practice. It is just the perfect intensity level for my body, most days.

I am sure you are inundated by requests but I wonder, if you think it might benefit others, whether you might put together a challenging flow for those of us who have an established practice but suffer from wonky knees....

The only request I can think of is that I coach two youth baseball teams and my throwing arm/shoulder/neck are about to be in 4-months of non-stop overuse. Would love a flow to work that all out.

Just out of curiosity: why does practicing yoga in the evening feel "lighter" as in the morning or midday?
Hi Andre, do you mean it’s a less physical practice when you say lighter? In my own experience , if I practice late in the day or evening, it feels more nourishing to wind down with a slow practice that unravels any tension accumulated in the day. Hips, shoulders, feet, jaw. Downregulating your nervous system and preparing for a good nights sleep. But everyone is different. Sometimes a sweaty evening practice can offer an equally worthy transition if accompanied by a longer shavasana. ❤️🙏
