Lovely display. You should place the other falcon fortress (the one with red instead of yellow) if you have it as a second line of defense after the inner ramp to have multiple lines of defense.
Regarding the factions, what I think happened was the following: there are multiple vasal factions, fighting for supremacy, and at some point the ones that reigned supreme were the lion knights that married the black knights for peace and this resulted in the royal knights. The Fright Knights, Dragon Masters, Forestmen, Wolfpack and Dark forest are all independent factions, butt he Falcons, lions and black knights seem to be part of the "big kingdom" united under the royal knights. (this is just interpretation, but I think this makes the most sense , given the new lion knights castle -30 years later).
This doesn't mean that the Falcons are 100% subservient to the lions, but like in game of thrones, they work together as long as it suits them.

Always interesting to re-faction sets like the mountain fortress here. I have some falcon and lion sets together and instead of doing that, I have them allied for now...
