      Good you are ok. I live in Los Angeles and we had an earthquake on July 4th, 2019. Well we all have to deal with mother nature. I do not know what a hurricane is like because I has always lived in Los Angeles California but I do know about earthquakes and they are scary but I can imagine a hurricane makes more damage than an earthquake.

    You have presented the best ad for Thrive Market, that they have ever had. I already developed a great chocolate chip cookie recipe, but since I love your show, I watched anyway.....so glad I did. Those prices got my attention and you're always a hoot! I have started playing a little game with your videos: I am an old timer in the kitchen, so after listening to the introduction of the competing recipes, I attempt to pick the winner. This one was a slam dunk for me, but sometimes i am surprised!

    I made the gnom-gnom cookies yesterday, and they are fantastic. I did use konjac flour, blackstrap molasses, and pecans and pressed a few chocolate chips into the top of each cookie before baking. I only baked six of the cookies and froze the rest. Looking forward to seeing how they turn out from frozen. Since I am diabetic, I made these cookies first and then made regular cookies for the rest of the family (saved me from eating the full sugar ones). Anyhow, I am so thankful for your channel. I have made several of the recipes you tested, and they have all been excellent. This is saving my health.

    The BEST chocolate chip cookie recipe out there is the one by Kristie Sullivan in her book Cooking Keto with Kristie: A Journey Worth Taking. I HIGHLY recommend that one, it use sukrin gold fiber syrup and I used the swerve brown sugar and it was AWESOME. My picky semi-keto adult daughter who sticks her nose up and so many keto versions of foods loves them.

    So glad you are back. I always make the keto Connect recipe but add salt and use Knox gelatin, but now I'm going to try Gnom Gnom. Those look like traditional CC cookies. Have you done any chaffle recipes? They seem to be all the rage. Finally, I can't believe this Thrive market shows up today; I ordered my first order yesterday I wish I had waited a day. They do have some good deals.

    Thanks for the great video, Wesley! I was reminded by watching it of the fun that I have been missing out on by not watching more of your content.
    I read through all of the comments of this video before writing this response, and it strikes me that you are very caring and attentive to your viewers. You take time to respond to your viewer's questions, which too many UA-cam producers are too insincere to bother doing. You have a good deal of professional integrity for giving credit to others where it is due. Good for you. You also are very meticulous in your work, have a great deal of knowledge about cooking, and a very enjoyable demeanor in the presentation of your videos. After stressing out a bit on my diet plan, watching your video last night was just a relief to me and a reminder to start having more fun cooking again. It's just relaxing and enjoyable to watch your videos!
    I've been on keto for 11 months, have lost 45 pounds (down to 170 from 215 at 6'), and enjoy a dessert with each of the two meals I eat a day. I don't have any problems using erythritol and either almond or coconut flour to make enjoyable desserts. I don't miss white sugar or flour at all. Good riddance!
    The only sugar alcohol that I know of that poses a problem is Xylitol, which you mentioned early in this video. You may already know of this, Wes, but for the sake of your viewers who don't, Xylitol can be fatal for dogs and cats!

    So, if you're using it, make sure you keep it away from your pets. Xylitol can be used as a sweetener in some other processed foods as well as desserts.
    On a more pleasant note, has anyone suggested to you a recipe for lemon meringue pie, pecan pie, or carmelitas? Carolyn Ketchum has some great recipes at her site.

    I already knew that Paola at gnom-gnom.com has excellent stuff. Also a recipe for chicken vindaloo would be fun, though I suspect that you probably have thousands of recipe suggestions already.

    Honestly the best is microwaving the Quest bar for 28 seconds. I've been doing it with all their bar flavors and it SAVED ME from diving head first into my kid's Halloween candy bag! The others are too much work for one cookie. Microwaving the Quest bar has been the BEST hack and for me, the 'Microwave In Case Of Emergency' aspect is fantastic!

    Made these cookies this morning
    The end result was fabulous! Even though I made mistakes along the way.
    My husband decided to “help “me by adding the sweetener, well my back was turned, he added the sweetener to the flour mixture… Not the butter
    I still whipped the butter for the 10 minutes and after adding the eggs I added the flour mixture
    Then when we were baking the first batch, my husband put the tray of cookies into the oven… With an empty cookie tray underneath. The cooking time went on for quite a while… Till I figured out what he had done!
    The cookie spread more than they probably should’ve. And I wound up cooking them for about 17 minutes… Because of the extra tray underneath… But they were still fabulous!
    I believe all that whipped butter gives the finished product the ability to spread unlike most low carb cookies.

    Can you take the fridge batter and roll it into a log wrapped in Saran Wrap before they go in the fridge, and then cut slices instead of scoops?

    I made KetoConnect chewy cookies last week and took them to the bowling alley. I made both the almond flour and coconut flour versions. The overwhelming opinion was coconut flour was the best. The almond flour version was grainy. Yes, I sifted. Everyone loved the coconut version.

      @@julick8412 ratio is never the same . Coconut flour is far more absorbent than almond flour.
      I like coconut flour but it doesn’t like me. It always sits in my stomach like a brick.

    I am SO DAMN EXCITED you are using Lakanto! Swerve has that tingly cool taste that I don't prefer. Because you finally used Monkfruit I'm gonna get thrive through you. I also appreciate the price comparison which I've never seen any other thrive affiliate do. They all say it's cheaper but you showing side by side nailed it. Thanks for the great vid. Missed you.

      Golden Lakanto is almost entirely Erythritol - so still has a cooling effect to my taste buds. I only use allulose for baking.

    Hey Wes, I love Keto Connect, my favorite recipe is Meghas Butter Chicken. I switched it for Pork chops and add chili paste. I finally found Arrowroot in a health food store and it's kind of high in carbs. Lakanto should be in Walmart. I 'll check again tomorrow I work there in the houseware section. Love your videos.

    I think you are correct about the whipping time with the butter send sweetener. When I make traditional chocolate chip cookies, I whip the butter and sugar several minutes, and it makes a huge difference. I do keto and appreciate your videos. Thank you.

    The keyboard input yeah, it's me again. I don't keep either of my flowers in the refrigerator or freezer. I've never had a problem with them going bad and I've been paleo or keto for about two-and-a-half years now. I also buy my flowers in bulk at a store called WinCo which is only on the West Coast.     While ON VACATION (😂) I tried healthy noodles while browsing in Costco (there were very few keto choices where we went on the CA coast. Wes, if you have not tried these noodles, they are amazing!! So much so, that on our drive home we stopped at my Mom's. I thought we should give the noodles the "Dad check." He had 2 servings! He would have spit the shiratake noodles right out FOR SURE. Mom said they were amazing. 1 carb! I don't work for them (yet, lol) but I missed pasta SO MUCH I thought I should let you know in case you miss pasta 😍 xoxo keep recording Wes!

    Sprouts has Lily's Milk Chocolate erithrytol sweetened chocolate chips now!!!! Lankanto also has a milk chocolate chocolate chips! I like the Lankanto chips way more than the Lily's dark chocolate stevia sweetened ones. I haven't tried the Lily's milk chocolate yet but I'm sure they're delish too.

    I'm so glad to see you. I was thinking maybe you'd fallen off the Keto wagon and stopped your channel. I think of you as a real person, and missed you. I wanted you to know that you do a great job of seeming genuine. If Keto connect stopped broadcasting, I'd miss the recipes, but there are other places to get recipes. But I wouldn't really care if they stopped or stopped being Keto. I'm so glad that you have found something that helps with your weight and can stick to. It gives me hope

    Well now I am going to HAVE to try the gnom-gnom recipe! 🙄😳 I have been eating the Keto Connect one. I baked it from the video taped recipe and he said to flatten it slightly in the video. Never even noticed it wasn’t mentioned in the printout. 😁 As usual, I LOVE your videos! Excellent method used to share the actual savings with Thrive Market! That is the first time I have actually thought I should check it out! We buy the Zevia sodas too. My son loves them.

    I just made them and followed the recipe exactly. They came out like a bread, even after letting them cool for 4 hours. They are tasty and a little on the sweeter side. I was expecting a bit harder or at least chewier. Overall not a fail. Thanks for the video.

    Thank you so much for info about Thrive Market. We just moved 100 mls away from all those wonderful stores you mentioned. Good old Walmart is our only choice. We can order some things from amazon & Costco, I will be checking out Thrive. I love watching you, thank you again.

    You should try using cattail roots as a binder for your baked goods . It has 1.4 carbs and 1.3 fiber and 0.0 sugar . All you do is get a cattail root and smash it with a hammer and put the root in water then wait for a while and you will see the starch fall then drain it dry it and use it as a binder . But it's not regular starch because there's no real starch in it but it works like starch to use as a binder

    Thanks for another great battle video, Wes! Of all the foods in the world, I miss the chewy, buttery, vanilla taste of cookies most. Future idea: I would love to see you find the best keto recipe for apple (AKA zucchini) bread/muffin recipe. :)

    I make the ketoconnect chewys with beef gelatin, 1/2 the Lilly’s chips/1/2 chopped walnuts and plain monk fruit extract (no erythritol). I don’t press them down and bake them an extra 5 minutes. Zero aftertaste/cooling taste and blood sugar spike.

    It is that time of year again, and I am on the hunt for the best Chocolate Chip cookie recipe.
    Just came from watching Victoria's keto kitchen and she has developed a keto All purpose flour and a self rising flour and no vital wheat gluten but uses Egg White Protein powder.
    I am eager to bake up a storm....

    Loved the video as always Wes! The funny thing is, I make the Keto Connect recipe but instead of melted butter I whip it for at least 10 minutes with the erythritol. I actually got the idea from your tea cake video. It makes them more light and delicate and no cooling erythritol aftertaste.

    Glad to see you back. I'm not fond of lily's chips for cookies because they're so much crunchier than regular chips. I wonder if allulose might work better for chocolate chips but it's so pricey.

    Hello, I just subscribed. I am a new diabetic and have been starting to use a lot of these products now. Just wanted to let you know that I just found the new lillies chips at Walmart. She now has milk, semi sweet and the dark in new packaging. They come in a white square shaped bag, totally different from her original chips. I really liked the milk choc for pancakes I made last week.

    Hey Wes! Im looking for a good whoopie pie recipe! They all have this mint and peppermint to the recipes. I went to Lancaster pa last weekend and felt so deprived with all them whoopie pies with the vanilla icing inside. Anyway Love your channel !

    I just made the winner recipe and OMG!!!!! Just like the real deal!! A cold glass of almond milk with a warm chocolate chip cookie and I felt like I was cheating. I ate it with a fork but the rest of the cookies are cooling on the cooling rack. So satisfying! Thank you for your channel. It’s amazing!!

      I’ll tell you I thought they were even better the next day! I put them in Tupperware after they cooled with a paper towel on top to absorb any excess moisture. SO GOOD!

    I’ve made the gnom-gnom recipe several times. It is by far the best. I have given them to my non Keto friends and they love them too. I do freeze the dough and make about 4 at a time because they are so good. I also add the molasses that is recommended and pecans.

    Yaassss! I needed this in my life! I hate making Keto recipes and they end up being a disappointment. I made some cookies a few weeks ago and they turned out thick like those Keto connect ones. I am ready to try the gnom gnom recipe. Thanks for doing this.

    I’m so glad you posted this challenge! I made some chocolate chip cookies that were just horrible! It was a waste of time and pricey ingredients. I’m going to a meeting in a few days and would love to bring the cookies from gnom-gnom. Paola is a recipe GODDESS! You are so wonderful to weed out just the best recipes.

I will also hit up Thrive Market based on your video. I noticed that you got the Nordicware Half baking sheets. How do you like them? I use mine pretty much daily. They hold up so well and clean easily. GREAT for baking bacon on too! Again, glad to see you, Wes. You bring a lot of people happiness just by being you!

    Gmom-gnom has updated her recipe in June 2019. AHMAZING...my fave by far...bake 'em and freeze in ziploc bags. Love them even right out of the freezer. Also, takes slightly longer to eat one 😃!
