Thank God there's no sequel..I love him so much
There's no need for one
Here I am watching the whole video of the making of the film and one minute before it ends, and the scene comes on where E.T. says, "I'll be right here.:' and a tear rolled down my cheek. Now THAT is a powerful film and a character that you could actually believe and feel.
A movie I grew up with and a movie that will stick with me for the rest of my life. Still get goosebumps. Incredible work of art that will live on forever.
It’s an absolute classic
My first cinematic experience at the age of 4 in Korea. Too young to read subtitles, but the laughter and genuine tears remain the same even now.
It’s 2024 and I just watched this movie for the first time and I was so moved by it. 40 yrs old and I got to feel like a kid again. Powerful
I cry every time I see the ending. It is incredibly beautiful!!!!!
His most beloved classic, that has stood the test of time and always will.👽
ET is an absolute classic it is a masterpiece I saw it was 16 I can relate my parents were divorced when I was 16 and my brother was 11 we saw ET 16 times in Metairie Louisiana to me it is Steven Spielberg's best movie
I love E.T. The Extra Terrestrial!
One of my all time favorites
kept my attention as four yr old, first movie I remember watching.
If it wasn’t for close encounters, ET would never exist.
Bus what about the recent news about their existence
Don't forget Spielberg's parents' divorcing gave ET its emotional weight.
A genius, that rare great type of genius, the unpretentious type, with a deep desire to be understood - not mistified. Like, he's speaking "from the waist down"!
ET is my favourite film absolutely loving it.❤
The soundtrack makes this movie even more special. Perfect cast, music, and you have a movie that still reaches your heart 40 years later...And thank you Steven for not making a sequel, because this film must remain untouched. So yes, "i'll be right here"...
Its masterpiece.
I watched this on VHS last night
Miss when Spielberg made magical movies for everyone 😒
There is something about E.T. that hovers on its own amongst other Spielberg flicks. He was at his prime and had the freedom to do what he wanted. That's a whole vacation for a director and also the secret to great films being made with time, immersion and patience.
Et is the best movie ever
So, the studio had a global hit on their hands, and of course wanted a SEQUEL! Spielberg ended up saying to them, that he didn’t have a strong enough vision for a sequel and that the first film ended perfectly, thus, should never be re-visited.. And schockingly the studio actually AGREED!!!?…. Amazing 🙏❤️
I love how the comments are so wholesome while personally me as a kid I was petrified of E.T lol👁️👄👁️
ET gave me reoccurring nightmares. But as an adult, I can see it for the masterpiece it is
Classic film. A shame about the audio in this being SO compressed it's been reduced by more than 200%.
I know one thing, anyone who says they can watch the ending to this movie without crying is a flat out liar!
Melissa was a really pretty woman. May she rest in peace.
Love that movie
It's about Love and Redemption
They don’t make movies like that anymore.
Be a friend like ET and Elliott.
Masterpiece
To you mr Spielberg I have seen a fan ever since you started this business. Most all the films are life changes of there times I hope you are in great health so you can set the trend of the continuation of next generations of movies on your reputation. Just for mine family in the 1970s with jaws I was alway scoundrel thinking of the open seas. But when you made E,T it was when how life is possible in other worlds. The next generation after mine they also became fans of your films now there teens who tell me the same you brought the wonders of what’s out there. So I can’t wait what’s the next generation what will they think ?.
Spielberg beatiful director 😍😍😍🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
and he influenced several artists, even in the field of animation, especially spanish artist Enrique Gato, and i highly recommend to check out CAPTURE THE FLAG since that one has a steven spielberg feel/influence in a sense
The movie ist almost a physcial experience. Sometimes too heavy to comprehend.
There are still little ET's amongst us. Praying Mantis's! I've had some huge one's in my shrubs and one would land on my storm door sometimes looking at my cat. Sweet little insects. Look at you with curiosity turning their heads back and forth.
Et came out the year I was born
❤❤❤
That glowing sphere reminds me of the same glowing sphere in Chocky's Challenge. No wonder Spielbeg got rights to Chocky the film. I hope he finishes the project.
Steven Spielberg Reflects on Creating E.T. The extra-Terrestrial | Bonus Feature 1/14/2023...👽😻💝😘
Reagan was a great President and man, and his wife Nancy was a great First Lady and woman.
He should make one more, only script must be very very very good and not written by gen Z (for good lord's sake)
Spielberg and Prince Harry are 2 folks I've listened to enough

Melissa Matheson? No. Melissa Masterful
et as good gets todayish.
imagine dragons snake toungue thunder introduction on the way.
Anyone else find it strange ET looks exactly like the Peruvian Mummies?
I mean, exactly.
🎥❤👈🔥👉❤🎬
Glad they didn't make nocturnal fears
Y ET phone home❤❤😮😮😊😊
👀
As far as I know Steven Spielberg & hollywood studio has stolen this story from Indian Filmmaker Satyajit Ray's writing(BOOK)
SATYAJIT RAY has never given any credit for this
They OWE A BIGG APOLOGY TO MR.RAY for sure!!
??? bro this movie is 40 years old
@@FrappeInsider Have u ever heard of the legendary Indian filmmaker Satyajit roy? Learn avt him first then talk
ET was copied from one of his writings 👈
don't make an argument about it being copied then say "look it up yourself". aren't you the one making the claim? give some evidence@@RONI_RRS
@@FrappeInsiderSatyajit Ray's alien character was created in the 1960s
So? Just because it's old and an alien doesn't mean it's stolen. @@pkdl-lx3dn
but why did he have to make him so scary? E.T. is supposed to be kid & family friendly, & there's alot of scenes can be frightening.
He wasn't scary at all 🙈
It wouldnt have been taken seriously if E.T. was cartoonish looking either
because Satyajit Ray’s unofficial script had the exact appearance of ET.
Where did the bolt go? 😭😂
The script was heavily inspired/stolen from Indian director Satyajit Ray’s unproduced film The Alien (1962). Also Close Encounter of the Third Kind had remarkable parallels with The Alien.
If E.T was made nowadays Kathleen Kennedy would have pushed for a trilogy 😂
and E.T. would be a female lol
First send me ten thousand bucks, short pants, and then we'll talk money.
what if led zepplin mothership decided to stay here on earth.
grammer good enough for me.
status of work and physics knowledge and of course phisiology.
carley simon said mit physics found yahoo finance make a man out of them.
Just wish was more comedy. It was soo dark
No. It had the right balance of comedy, mystery and eeriness. Too much comedy would have made it into a Disney movie, and it would probably come off as silly.
well its also a suspense with some scary scenes, if you were 12, it was a blast in the 80's
Plagiador, di quienes fueron el creador del guión y del muñeco, te enriqueciste con el trabajo de otros.
Copied screen play from Mr. Ray
the whole story was stolen from Satyajit ray's story, "banku babur bandhu"
What if he stayed as an exchange student lol
