- Today we roll out in in a case ih 620 quadtrac and a Meyer spreader. We spread chicken litter on our fields as a form of fertilizer to improve our soil qualities and I improve organic matter in the soils.
My name is Kendal Johnson, I’m a married 26 year old dad/farmer. I farm with my grandpa (papaw), dad, siblings, uncles, and several cousins. Our operation is called Stahl Farms, a family farm in Southwest Ohio. We farm corn and soybeans with lots of red equipment. My goal is to show a little bit of everything. The good, bad, the fun and the boring days.
Thanks for watching, don’t forget to subscribe!
Pure organic..... Karen should be happy!!!!
Great job spreading chicken manure Kendal
Had a similar experience years ago..tankin cow manure..folks had just moved out near our farm..she was raisin 40 types of hell as our 6 bottom rollover showed up to plow it under..she was a retired citidiot..although to her credit she ran home baked cookies and brought out to us as an apology/peace offering..no harm no foul..was before social media btw so was even less of a thing..just thought I’d share
Miss your closing "What are you still doing here? Time to go home."
You are the most under rated UA-cam farmer. Keep up the good work. Love the vids. Stay safe and god bless
Thanks that’s awesome to hear
Great video Kendal
GOOD STUFF!!!
Don’t complain get a Donaldson on your nose HaHa I know your feeling I grew Vegetables commercialy for 40 years and had a piggery. Cheers mate from Bundaberg Australia
Yall definitely got some of the best spreaders. Meyer Crop max can really sling it even across the land. Here in nc looking to potentially put on on a military 6x6 truck
From southern missouri everything smells like chocken shit best fertilizer on earth we thank tysons
Could speed things uo by psrking the spreader close to pile no use hauling half way to field in the bucket.
Need a bigger spreader and definitely a bigger shovel if you are moving massive amounts each year
Gotta love Facebook Karen's.
Any articulated loader is not old to me. Try a rear wheel steer.
How many chickens do you have or do you get the litter delivered. I’m new to your channel and enjoy your videos
We get it hauled in. One of my first videos was me in a semi hauling it in
@@farmerjohnson620 I’ll check it out thanks
My boss's brother raises hogs and every othere year hes having hog manure applied to one of his fields on the edge of town. He gets a few complaints especially from one particular lady that hates hog farmers. And heres the kicker, she doesnt even live in town anymore but she has friends and some family that do. Shes a lawyer from the Minneapolis area and she will fight every farmer that wants to put up hog barns around where she grew up. Her father was a dairy farmer years ago too
So how many ton an acre does a guy put on with chicken shit ?
We put on around 2.5 tons per acre
@@farmerjohnson620 and your flying at 12mph? Wow haha I can't get that out of 28foot spread with cattle manure maybe 3.5 mph to achieve that or a bit more 🤣
@@damonens9478 chicken liter spreads a lot easier depending on the moisture I’ve spread cow manure and it as like maybe 6mph
