Gyro data still works if ibis is enabled. You just have to make sure the lens stabilization is turned off. But ideally you still get better results with ibis and lens stabilization turned off.
It seems that the best shutter speed for gyro stabilized Sony FX3 footage would depend on various factors such as the motion in the scene, lighting conditions, and desired level of stabilization.
@@fabianbetto Yeah it's not always the look we want to have, know what you mean. I only use it when I don't have a gimbal or for a certain situations where I don't mind what the shutter speed is.
No, unfortunately not. The lens has to be able to supply data to the camera for it to work. I should have mentioned it in the video actually, don't know if I had a vintage lens on hand at the time to test out.
Steady footage without the use of a tripod or gimbal? I'll take it!
Hope you enjoy my little video. Thanks for watching!

Thanks - great video. Good point about just shooting with a wider lens, to compensate for the catalyst crop.
Yeah it sure helps.
It also works with the ZV1 in case you missed that ;)
Didn't know that, thanks!
Works with Sony A7C too!
Ah, good to know I'll add to the title. Thanks!
I've used on a ZV1 - worked great.
Does it work whit vintage glass
And Is the render to long??
what is the best shutter speed for better results in catalyst

Looking smooth. How high do you usually put the shutter?
The highest possible shutter speed will yield best results.
@@howlandneal I like the idea of the gyro datas but i dont like the fact that shutterspeed need to be verry fast. Whats your opinion?

thanx. :-) Is the soft can export in 422 10bit?
How do you do stabilize multiple clips at a time on catalyst??
That's a good question because I don't know if you can do that, but would love to have that feature.
Does CB work with the new M1 macs.
I'm not sure actually, Don't have an M1 Mac yet but been thinkin' about it!
it does. I'm on an m2
Does it work whit vintage glass ? I’m thinking of getting the a7c
