What's up y'all, today I'm going to be showing a fat stack of records I dug up in a local store trying to clear stuff out, enjoy! Instagram: www.instagram....
Four bucks! That's a crazy haul! Too bad about the Cole Porter. I love buying random records based on the cover, sometimes you get a winner (and sometimes a stinker). Keep it coming dude.
Great dig! Unfortunately I live in the Bible Belt and the only records I can find are gospel, Laurence welk and Time Records!! I would love to hit a hole like that. Now the only problem you have is trying to exceed that find. Btw, the chic is a good wall hanger. 12x12 Frame from Hobby Lobby. Keep them coming! Mark
Thanks man! Unfortunate about the Bible Belt, maybe you could take a trip I might be planning to do one for buying records in a couple months. Thanks for the tip on the Chick!
It's true about Jamal live at the Pershing --I have a copy that's pretty wrecked....that's because every subsequent copy I've found has been even more destroyed!
You can put your hand in the sleeve and gently take out the record. You just put your finger s all over the disc and yank it out either scuffing the disc or scratching it. You wouldn’t be allowed within ten foot of my collection 😂😂😂
Hello Aidan I didn't get into Chick Corea until the 1980s. I had a flatmate back then who liked his music. Gordon Lightfoot had a number one on the American charts in 1974 called Sundown. Cool song. I like Melanie , she also had a number one song titled Brand New Key in 1972. Stevie Wonder is amazing, his seventies albums are works of art. I like his 1969 hit Yester Me, Yester you. I have alot of favorite songs from that year. Check out Sly and the Family Stones Hot fun in the Summertime from 69 for example It's on UA-cam. The 1970s was a good time for music. Soul, Funk, Disco, Punk Rock, Reggae etc, a time when artists were being creative and experimenting. Quincy Jones is so cool, he produced Michael Jackson's 1979 hit album Off the Wall. Jazz is timeless. I like listening to Fats Wallers piano playing. Although it's very old it still sounds fresh. You have good taste in music Aidan.
I use a cleaning liquid and a rag to clean them. No matter how hard I try its not gonna make the disc like it would coming out of a vacuum, maybe I should invest in one. My dad started collection about 4 years ago (he collects reissues) and he had a vertigo copy of You Don’t Mess Around With Jim - Jim Croce and I thought it was the coolest thing ever
@@bucks_records Thanks for that Aidan. I use a Nitty Gritty vacuum cleaner for cleaning my records.Sometimes you can get a used one on ebay for a fraction of the cost of a new one. Anyhow, cheers man.

They always seem so rough, wonder why
Art Pepper was probably org. on Pacific Jazz label.
I would like to find a Freddie Hubbard record when I’m out diggin.
broooo he got gary !!
Bill Evans Quintessence. And I believe the Herbie Hancock on Columbia is called Man-Child. Very jealous of that Donald Byrd as well.
Great records

Look at what DJs have done for decades, much worse than me and they still sound great
That Kenny Barron LP is unknown and fire. Just showed it again in my jazz tag. Nice pickup!
Awesome! I did check that, cool stuff

I have that Herbie Hancock record.
Great to see the enthusiasm and you like Chick Corea ! I never did get a copy of Now he sings but soon . All great stuff
keep it up homie. a lot of info coming from your channel. appreciate it
Would be great, if you hold the record around five seconds to the camera that everyone can read the title
Excuse me, but ECM has never been "seriously underrated," as you said.
True, just not as talked about as Blue Note, Impulse, Riverside, etc.
I’ve been searching for quintessence for awhile, very cool .
I’m a big fan of that original solid state pressing of the chic :)
Great music
Hi, mate. Do you thoroughly clean your records before playing them ? And, if you don't mind me asking - how did you get into vinyl ?

Who is playing at beginning of video? It's not that Chick Corea album you were showing.
Yes it was.
@@bucks_records What cut? I'm not finding it.
"Steps-what was" Found it!! The cd has about another album worth of cuts. I'm surprised they didn't issue this as a double Lp.
@@DorianPaige00 ahhhh ok ok I see, yeah on Spotify it has a lot more tracks too, the original I show towards the end is only 1 disc though
Stop sniffing powder and wise up . Never seen records handled so badly . Find another hobby baby boy
Thanks for the tip :)
