So grateful to find this... I quilt (sewed in 4-H & Home Eco in 7th grade), actually sewed one of my prom dresses.. but have lost the sensibility! So grateful for this. Thank you!
Hi Abbey love the gown though I would have to make it bigger for me lol lol lol thank you for showing how really easy sewing clothes can be and how much fun it is. Have a wonderful day GOd bless
That's really pretty! I don't think it's beginner enough for me but maybe someday. Btw when the bird calls the dog, does the dog come? That is so funny. I really enjoy the bird's personality!
I've looked at this pattern for some time. I've made two simple gowns from a Kwik Sew book. Just a simple yoke and gathered gown skirt. Years ago my mama and I made a maternity dress for me and it had the same kind of tucks as the pattern you made. I put in the tucks and basted them. She sewed on the binding. I'm wondering about the ease in this pattern. I have been avoiding big 4 patterns for my upper body because I'm a D cup for sewing and don't feel ready to try an FBA yet. I'm currently learning a simple dolman top with bust darts and a hem facing. The pattern has cup sizes. Im going to have to lower the bust dart and blend out to the next size at the hips for my next try at it. I'm going to make several of these tees and hopefully master that pattern. I also have a couple of quilting projects going. So it might be a while before I get to try this Butterick pattern. Thank you for such great, encouraging sew alongs!
Sometimes I do tucks different, if I want depth in my project for bigger bust I do it so the tucks are shown on the outside, if I don’t need extra room for bust I put my tucks on the inside

@@Sewhome Thank you! I think the tucks were to the outside for the maternity dress.
