I love the gasps of relief after each deep cut on the C. That's so real. Then, even more real is the. last. deep cut. failing. EVERY glasser needs to see that! Most videos only show the successful cuts! Always a gamble to keep cutting or taking it to the grinder.
I love your video’s even when things don’t go as planed you handle it with grace and a deep breath and a fun outlet you remind me to do the same as Im new to this. Thanks for being you and keeping it real. Beautiful family btw.
I love boba! I admire your patience and taking a break when you needed to, instead of doing it while frustrated. You’ll show that C who’s boss! You have a beautiful family as well!
I did it! I took the plunge and bought the supplies! I've made 3 pieces in 2 days and sold one already! I love it. Thank you so much for inspiring me to try something new!
Cut , snap , cut , snap .. I swear I could listen to that all day. I think it's what drew me in! ha! Cannot tell you how much it is appreciated that you show the oops moments as well!!
Love ur channel. Just found it this past week. I started stained glass as a hobby over 25 years ago. And I have to say that was a very ambitious cut attempt!! I am most impressed. I am sure u will complete the letter the way u want it. I TOTALLY get the frustration. But ur can do attitude will make sure u prevail. Can't wait to see the finished project!!!😎
Perfect timing on the video! Doing a lettering project for someone right now and putting LED lights behind them after they are mounted. I am videotaping the project now.
This is what I wanted to see you do!! Thank you so much! Dude, you have got to finish this! Pull it together!! Thank you for showing me how to do this!!
Great job on the C curves are a nightmare. I find if you do straight lines between the C it is easier to chip away. Loving this and the glass is beautiful. Thank you ✌️💛 Note to self: never comment before video ends 😂 you will get it 💛
Stained Glass DIY I hope you got my dodgy picture & try using both hands 😁 I know you have your way of doing it and that's good ✌️💛 I have my teacher in my ear screaming at us to use both hands 😂 I really hope it works out I have faith in you ✌️ your brilliant either way 💛
I feel your pain .. glass is scary ..but it’s a learning curve .. excuse the pun.. keep going I know you will do it... The lettering is a genius idea ..🌻🌼
I am, very much enjoying your posts! I have just recently decided to give leading glass a try and have wanted to for a very long time. My husband died a couple of months ago, very unexpectedly, and I need something to do to keep my mind and hands busy. Thank you!
That definitely took some courage ! Bravo!! I am sure it was beautiful when completed. Will look for the other finished video. Laughing at how you say what we are all saying when things go sideways, haaaaaa
I just started stained glass because of your channel! My first project is 4 big stained glass windows for my kitchen😱🤦🏻♀️. Cutting the glass is the most stressful! Great channel and a beautiful family!
What a project! It's going to be so awesome i when it's done. I always get my self mixed up on the pieces so I have a second print out in front of which I tick off the pits ive done. It was suggested I should glue the shape on which you can use as both a cutting and grinding guide and the glue might help avoid cracking maybe?
Couple thoughts. When scoring your pieces do it on both sides. With your tapping do it on both ends then put pressure you should be able to watch it crack. In your center if your c. Do like you were doing but also score a grid. Make a bunch of lines going diagonal, then a bunch of lines in the opposite direction, start tapping and breaking off pieces. And LOVE THAT COLOR!. I give you kudos. My first time was & still is a hot mess. But I've always been difficult.
damn C! I'm sure you will sort it out somehow. :) btw, I found a lab and now I'm starting my stained glass project! thanks for your videos, they were really helpful!
Yesterday I found you after a quick search here, I was thinking how great (but impossible!) it would be to learn how to make stained glass while looking at pictures of the Saint-Chapelle. Today, I’m bingeing your content while buying the tools online. I’m really excited because stained glass was my obsession since I was a child and I kind of had in the back of my mind that it is extremely difficult to even begin with and totally not something you can do at home so thanks for changing my mind! Love your content and how you leave your struggles with the glass on the video and just deal with it. It makes the whole process way less intimidating to know everyone breaks the glass sometimes 😄
Held my breath every nibble of the C, well done for trying, I would not have even tried that, I would have gone straight for a cut / join across the middle. Also, you can score the mini moons into bits rathe than pull a curve, but you got super SKILLS man
i felt that crack in my soul haha. i like that you show how it's difficult though! also your baby is so so so cute! probably similar in age to my 9 month old son :)
Thank you for your cutting glass video. I started to do Stainedglass work. I don't have any cutting glass skill so I have difficulties. Drawing and Grinding are ok but it's hard to cut the glass for me.
Brilliant video. Would love to try this out. Been searching online to find 3D letters and numbers for stained glass but unsuccessful so far. Any advice you can give would be appreciated? Regards Ron
Sweet Karma Bar shows a technique on her "Golden Ram" video. You might already be aware of it, but in case it could be helpful to ya. Good luck!! Can't wait to see you nail it!
I dont know anything about glass, but for the curves would it work if you cut straight/rectangles inside and just little by little cut and rounded out the edges ? Like instead of trying to make a bunch of curved cuts, just make a bunch of little straight cuts to get the bulk of the glass out and grind the rest into your curved shape. Maybe thats more work idk 😅 haha.
Aaaaarrrrgh ... Like everyone else, I felt your pane... (See what I did there?!) :D ... You really were SO close - Totally sickening when that happens, isn't it?! Try leaving yourself much more spare glass on the outer edge of something like that. No guarantees of course, but it tends to help. Keep on keeping on!
Would masking tape over the whole thing but peeled off the parts you are removing as you go help with breakage avoidance? And remember that hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20 :-) You got this....you made a tiny human....a glass C has nothin' on that!
I Just was saying tap it some more and then you cracked it , Sucks but i feel for u . But thats why we love glass LOL - But i do love my Ring saw when i get into trouble
estas cortando curvas muy cerradas. Aunque tuvieras éxito haciéndolas y terminando el vitral con el tiempo se partirían. Llevo treinta años restaurando vitrales y lo he visto muchas veces.

The suspense with the C… I felt that
I felt every ounce of pain with that last cut! If you know, you know.
Adorable family. I see your baby has your sense of humor.👶 Love this project! Ambitious as usual. On the edge of my seat...

I felt that pain on the break 😖 I don’t have the guts to do a curve like that. Lol good luck

Yikes!...Love your determination, and feel your pain!...Excellent effort!
I gasped! So close! Keep at it. Gonna be so cool.

It was way worse than I expected 😖

Im sure the C looked great cut there! Sorry you put so much time into it, but it was well worth the try and experience. Thank you for sharing
That was some crazy suspense but the fact that u got as far as you did was amazing. I would’ve stuffed it up long ago lol
What a project! It's going to be so awesome i when it's done. I always get my self mixed up on the pieces so I have a second print out in front of which I tick off the pits ive done. Thanks! I’ve always felt the paper always got in the way when I tried glueing. But maybe it would help 🤷🏻♂️

You made the jump! 🙌
@@StainedGlassDIY Yes! I received everything a couple of days ago and I’m already obsessed with it!

The most stressful CHILL ever!

Haha it was super tough for me. Yea she’s 11 months now we’re close!
I know you’re already done with the project, but I’m only half way through the vid and I’m wishing you luck with that C
I’m in disbelief, I’m so sorry
😓

Hi Ron, I used Canva and found a 3D font that I liked on there. You should be able to find a few and just print to size.
What is the name of this font? It’s perfect!
Dude i was so anxious while you were cutting the C 😂 I feel your pain its so difficult !
😬
Ponle una cubierta de silicon o goma a las pinzas pequeñas. Funcionarán mejor al partir el vidrio.
I dont know crap about technique but have you seen the way Sweet Karma Bar does curved cuts? I've seen her do it in her videos/ig stories I believe.
Sweet Karma Bar shows a technique on her "Golden Ram" video. You might already be aware of it, but in case it could be helpful to ya. Good luck!! Can't wait to see you nail it!
Thanks so much I’ll check it out!
I guess i cheated I did numbers 26 on a Taurus rig saw. To get hole in the 6 I used a drill press. I would never have attempted that method. You Rock.
I need that saw 😲
Man oh man that was nerve wrecking 😂😂😂😂
😱
Don't worry with the will of God you will make it god bless you and your family have a good day you did very well excellent work
Could you show us how to use wire (and what kind)? Like for the legs of an insect or the veins of a leaf...
Tinned copper wire. I’ll keep it in mind for future projects. Thanks!
My anxiety levels!!! 😖 eekkk such a bummer!
😅🙏

I think you’re right, good ideas
Where is the best place to buy glass? I was thinking of going to hobby lobby.
Buy from me! bit.ly/glasspacks or a local glass shop if you have one nearby.
Collab? Stained glass lampshade?
Love your woodwork. Let’s chat.
I felt that splinter and mis-break in my bones. Will look nice though!
I can't believe you said the "F" word! Lol! Maybe it comes with the job 😂 no doubt!
oops🤐

Hmm might have to try that
My stomach hurts.....been there!
Omg. I felt your disappointment. I am sorry man.
I yelled out, "OH NO!" and made my husband panic. I feel your pain, dude.
🤣🤣
I Just was saying tap it some more and then you cracked it , Sucks but i feel for u . But thats why we love glass LOL - But i do love my Ring saw when i get into trouble
😂 gotta look into that saw
Should've grinded 🤪
😅
Noooooo not when you're that close!!!
Sooo close
Estás aplicando demasiada presión al cortar en línea recta.
@16:35:..... I mean, "Hill" is a perfectly cool word, amirite?
I feel your pain 😥
My heart broke right along with the C. 😫
It still hurts 😖
Ím screaming now..... No!!!!!!!!!!!!
😱💀
When the C broke, our hearts broke.
I let out an audible gasp. 😭
😱
Hummmm
Right there with ya on those deep curves 😂🤣😂
