No religion or grouo can claim immunity from criticism simply because it is in a minority -even a "persecuted " minority. But all relgions and groups are entitled to assert their constitutional rights in a democracy. This principle should lead Freethinkers - in my opinion ..
Conceptually that is of course true and straightforward. The dilemma is how NOT to become an unwitting tool for Right wing fascists and their propaganda. Especially if the critic is NOT from the said minority, the approach that makes sense to me is to provide a platform and voice for the in-group critic instead of being an out group critic ourselves.
@@raghu812 I agree that it is a tricky situation .One can only try to be fair and assert that criticism is against bad ideas generally and not against any particular group of people.
I find it amusing that many of our public personalities find time to comment on racial inequalities in the US but inequalities at home are below their radar or they deliberately keep it out of their mind.

Is it not right at least in the Indian economic context where people in hundreds of millions live in below povery line..? The richest 1% owns 54% of India's total wealth..... doesn't it look insane..?
