Yeah I did love star trek and Sci fi but sadly it's lost something now. The story lines are pretty thin now and it's CGI mostly. The golden age was from the late 70s to the 2000s Alien, mad max, star wars, great story lines. Sue is a lovely person. Bless her.

Will, Look up the benefits of taking collagen supplements for us older blokes. I take it on a night before bed & it helps me sleep like a baby. I also take a Berocca (Immune) daily in the morning. I haven't had a bug for years whilst all those around me seem to be coughing & spluttering every other month. Collagen is what people used to eat bone broth for in the olden days. (Even though they didn't know it). Hopefully you are well again now. I'm 60 this year & look how beautiful I still look, Because I'm worth it. 😆

Sorry to see you are feeling ill .and you seem to be on a downer about the weather and your life living on the canals.. Sorry but I can't in all honesty remember ever feeling that way... maybe it's because I took time to leave my boat and take a holiday camping for a few weeks ..at every opportunity. Perhaps it was because of having no living relatives to think about..when sitting alone in my boat... when the weather prevented me from moving my boat. However I did have a van and all I ever did was to throw a mattress and sleeping bag in the back along with a camping stove and a few pots and frying pan. In the back. and off I went . There are plenty of fourteen day moorings on the canal system. To choose from ... You can do exactly the same thing .. when things start to get you down . take a break it's the best medicine ever... So will I hope to see things have improved for you .. when you decide to upload your next video... filthy thumbs up mate.👍👍👍👍...
I've started converting my van. I've put a fold up bed in there and 2 leisure batteries with a little 300 watt inverter. I could sleep in there quite easily. The constant rain is horrible. We've had weeks and weeks of it. And it's still raining in July. That would bring anybody down. Ha ha ha. You take care Wayne. I'm coming back. 👍
Will you have always been a fellow I could relate to ..as I could see my past in everything you have done... Why I suggested that you take time away from the canal because it has always worked for me in the past... especially when I could not move the boat for weeks on end trough problems with locks being inoperable..or canal sides collapsing.... this gave me a chance to see many places far from any canal .a few days sitting by a beach .or visiting places like Snowdonia national park. The lake District ...my favourite place was Pembrokeshire .. mainly because of its coastline and coastal paths..I always found a place to park the van .and never failed to find a water supply .. strangely enough I always met people who were doing the exact same thing... On a lighter note if you look at my past comments I mentioned that I was of to have a look at a boat for a friend of mine. The surveyor mentioned a knock in the engine and could not engage the gears without crunching them.. thankfully it only took an hour to sort it out. The engine mounts were loose which was causing the knocking issues every time the engine when running would jump up and down on the mounts the gear box mountings were also loose causing the prop to be out of line... It took minutes to adjust the gear linkage ...why the mechanic at the boat yard had not picked this up is beyond me. However my friend got a huge reduction in the price of the boat because of these issues so everything ended well for him.. I am telling you about this because there is loads of work available for a decent mechanic ..on the canals .a day here and there servicing someone's engine will cover the cost of taking a trip ..
That's a typical story about people boats I kerp hearing. Simple things being missed. I do get away and you'll see why I prefer to stay on my boat. What a complete nightmare it turned into when Mr van got a bug as well. Ha ha ha. Good on you for having the skills to help people out. I fitted a solar panel yesterday and the chap was so pleased he gave me a nearly new prm125 d2 gearbox. Blimey I was blown away. I would've been happy with a coffee. Ha ha ha 😂

@@NarrowboatWill my grandfather had malaria, he got in in East Africa in the First World War. He felt rotten for years. It keeps repeating. As he got older it seemed to disappear. Have you ever been in a malaria area? Far east and Africa it’s still found. Even used to be malaria in Europe once upon a time.

Sorry to see you are feeling ill .and you seem to be on a downer about the weather and your life living on the canals..
Sorry but I can't in all honesty remember ever feeling that way... maybe it's because I took time to leave my boat and take a holiday camping for a few weeks ..at every opportunity.
Perhaps it was because of having no living relatives to think about..when sitting alone in my boat... when the weather prevented me from moving my boat.
However I did have a van and all I ever did was to throw a mattress and sleeping bag in the back along with a camping stove and a few pots and frying pan. In the back. and off I went .
There are plenty of fourteen day moorings on the canal system. To choose from ...
You can do exactly the same thing .. when things start to get you down . take a break it's the best medicine ever...

I've started converting my van. I've put a fold up bed in there and 2 leisure batteries with a little 300 watt inverter. I could sleep in there quite easily.
The constant rain is horrible. We've had weeks and weeks of it. And it's still raining in July. That would bring anybody down. Ha ha ha.

Will you have always been a fellow I could relate to ..as I could see my past in everything you have done...
Why I suggested that you take time away from the canal because it has always worked for me in the past... especially when I could not move the boat for weeks on end trough problems with locks being inoperable..or canal sides collapsing.... this gave me a chance to see many places far from any canal .a few days sitting by a beach .or visiting places like Snowdonia national park.
The lake District ...my favourite place was Pembrokeshire .. mainly because of its coastline and coastal paths..I always found a place to park the van .and never failed to find a water supply .. strangely enough I always met people who were doing the exact same thing...
On a lighter note if you look at my past comments I mentioned that I was of to have a look at a boat for a friend of mine. The surveyor mentioned a knock in the engine and could not engage the gears without crunching them.. thankfully it only took an hour to sort it out. The engine mounts were loose which was causing the knocking issues every time the engine when running would jump up and down on the mounts the gear box mountings were also loose causing the prop to be out of line...
It took minutes to adjust the gear linkage ...why the mechanic at the boat yard had not picked this up is beyond me. However my friend got a huge reduction in the price of the boat because of these issues so everything ended well for him..
I am telling you about this because there is loads of work available for a decent mechanic ..on the canals .a day here and there servicing someone's engine will cover the cost of taking a trip ..
That's a typical story about people boats I kerp hearing. Simple things being missed.
I do get away and you'll see why I prefer to stay on my boat. What a complete nightmare it turned into when Mr van got a bug as well. Ha ha ha.

I fitted a solar panel yesterday and the chap was so pleased he gave me a nearly new prm125 d2 gearbox. Blimey I was blown away. I would've been happy with a coffee. Ha ha ha 😂
