i’ve been trying to learn to skate for almost 3 months now and i can already shuv and ollie pretty high but if you have any tips for me i’d really appreciate it. love your videos btw they make me laugh and they are the reason i started skating❤❤
The incoming judgement is always there. I remember I used to be one of those people. Eventually you grow up. I dont think I've EVER seen two skaters with the exact same skills. Everyone has their own style of skating and I find this extremely fascinating.
I've skated for years, my current board is a trick board with cruise wheels. Because I had cruise wheels, I always assumed i couldn't do anything but cruise. After finding your channel and seeing your short about them, I have been trying tricks. I have never fallen more or so heavily in my life, but the payoff is immense. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You've helped me so much.
All these lessons aren’t even about skating anymore. It’s all about life. The part that got me was friends coming and going and this is true in anything. You do have to be willing to do things on your own and have fun with “skating solo.” Additionally been working on Ollie’s and it’s been improving greatly even tho the first time I attempted I ate dirt. Be patient out there skaters!
I struggle with back 50s too. I quit skating about 18 years ago, because I had no one to skate with and I agree that you shouldn’t stop doing what you love because of others (for as long as it’s healthy). Due to some unforeseen life circumstances, I wasn’t able to do much about a year ago, so I found my way back to it, and getting my tricks back has been a struggle, not only because of the gap, but also because of my age, but it’s definitely fun.
one of my best friends is buying their first skateboard today. I've never had a friend to skate with so I've been on and off for about 2 years. Super excited to shred with him
I used to skate with my 2 siblings, but my sister gave up and my brother found a new sport and also gave up. Then, as a last resort i tried teaching my friends to skate but they said it was too hard and gave up too. Now I’m chilling with whoever walks in.
Almost 3 years ago , my best friend passed away in a car accident just months after we started skating together. shortly after, I got into some accidents as well and ended up with 3 bulged disc in my lower spine so I had to stop skating. It really sucked because somedays skating would bring me alot of pain physically and mentally thus I took a huge hiatus. I'm just now getting back into it, it feels a little discouraging but Ik he is always right next to me when I skate so I won't give up and neither should you guys. also being heavier and older really makes a difference I never thought of xD
I was about to quit because I felt like I was trash and that I could never do a trick other than an Ollie. But this video really helped me and thank you and God bless you.
Thank you so much for your videos. Every time I look up a new trick I always watch your videos first, I love how you break things down and keep it simple
I really wanna get into skateboarding but what sucks is that there are no public places dedicated to skating. I don´t want to just ride on the road in front of the house. I´d like something that resembles a these dedicated spots...
Awesome content. I’ve been skating since the early 90s. Stopped a few times. Getting back in the game but it’s much harder at 43 and I’ve lost 95% of my tricks 😬. Just trying to humble myself and enjoy what I can relearn. Thanks for the inspiration kid and keep it up!
I need help, if I'm honest I've had a skateboard for about 3 years, the first 2 years I didn't practice anything, but this last year I've learned a lot of ramp tricks, but now I've learned a pretty decent ollie, the thing is that I've learned I sprained my ankle doing one, and now they don't come out because I'm afraid of it
Believe in yourselves and each other and never give up on your dreams and aspirations and remember to be kind and uplifting to each other and open minded and genuine and respectful and humble. ❤️🔥♾️🍀
Where did u get that griptape btw, I can't find any cool griptapes with designs where I live. I'm a good skater but new to tricks (been cruising for most of my life) and I've gone out every day practicing ollies alone. I'm getting a bit better every day and filming myself is soooooo useful!
I wish I stuck with it but it freaking sucks always skating alone. I got demotivated still having a trash ollie after 2 years. My local skatepark is always crowded as well. I really only use it for riding to work every now and then
Any tips of how to get over the fear of falling?? When I try to do some tricks, I hesitate bc I’m scared of falling badly. I know falling is a normal occurrence in skateboarding but sometimes I just hesitate or freeze when I try to do a trick and it’s honestly pretty frustrating as I feel stuck
Practice falling :) somewhere soft at first, like a carpet or put a duvet on the floor. Just first practice falling from where you’re standing, like just go fully limp. Then get your skateboard and try to fall from there. After you feel comfortable with that, try a harder area, but you have to be very careful and assess it, and try to avoid areas like your spine and neck
I would rather say that you shouldnt be afraid of people judging you, some people probably will judge you some wont, and if you don't snake and dont skate someway you interrupt others in the park then most people wont really care.
Put some wax or silicone spray on your bushings and especially your pivot cups, it will help with the squeaking. Edit: learn transition! and mini ramp skating! It’s so much fun and quite easy to progress once you have a few basics down. Just floww
do me a favor and never give up. that's all you have to do 🌊
You got it, player
Yes sir 🌊
Alright but you owe me>:)
never quite by YEAT

Also, I wear docs until they fall apart, slap some e6000 on the sole when you get a chance and they'll last a lil longer
@@kiyawilson3520 docs? 💀
@@airwizwoz doc martens :)
@@kiyawilson3520 yeah, but, skating in docs is probably not the best idea, but hey, i guess if it works, it works

I found skating everyday at a steady pace progresses you faster than trying to have big skate sessions every once in a while
Dude the crumbling shoes is so relatable, it’s like impossible for me to get any traction. Getting new shoes this weekend tho so

I will say most places you go to skate no one gives a fuck about you and they mind their own business, they’re not going to judge you
People are judging my skating? 😂
