How to Become More FEARLESS

  • What's up guys! Today I am trying to challenge myself and do something that I have been scared of for a while. I want to show you guys how I break down something that might seem difficult at first, but with a bit of practice on the easier stuff, it might not seem so hard anymore. My main goal was to ollie off this 3-4 foot drop and land a nice and clean ollie. But if I was to just send it off the start, I could possibly get hurt and not be able to skate anymore. So tune in on how I level my way up and accomplish something I never thought I could do.

That's common. Happened to me. I broke my arm playing football, and I was terrified of playing so I stopped the very next year. It happens and it's about getting back out there and realising that breaking a limb is a freak accident that likely won't happen again if you do the right things.

Hey wavy, I know you will probably never see this but, I have a shoe that protects me while I skate, and they are really good. They're called the Converse CTAS Mids their my favorite skate shoes, I dont see any other skaters wearing these underrated shoes so maybe I can see another skaters opinion on these. It's ok if you say no though. I understand that people might have other things to do or busy. From one of your biggest fans.

If you're achieving a milestone, don't treat it casually. Like you said, make sure you feel healthy and confident (eat & hydrate, stretch, hygiene, good fit) like a real athlete. I feel like that's what seperates the guys who skate like the pros from the guys who don't care. You'll probably still roll around on the crusty ground but it's better to have a plan. When I was younger I used to waste my sessions skating to go drink free water lol. I would never do that now., I bring my own thing of water these days, time is precious and getting in the zone and staying warmed up is important. I used to also go for tricks I oculdn't do. Like "I'm gonna shuv 5-0 this ledge" no I ain't. It's good to warm up, work up to a trick, make sure you can do it on flatground first. And yeah, sometimes take a step back and breathe first...if you feel like it helps. I do it. Sometimes I'm watching a competition and I notice the times when people center themself before even stepping on the board, things generally don't go that bad. Also protective equipment can sometimes be cool, I'm into it. Recently bought flexmeter double sided wrist guards (too bad they're not made tougher, for skateboarding) because I kept hurting thee top of my wrist. If I know I won't immobilize my hand for 5 minutes every time I fall, I'm more confident to keep skating. I have a backpack full of junk like that. Once I hit something and it sucks, the pad might come out for the rest of the sesh. Asked my sponsor to buy me protective equipment and they said yes.

people mess up their tricks because the'yre nervous. If yall stop worrying about what other think and relax, you're tricks will land great. Take breathing exercises, workout, close your eyes, do something to gain that confidenc.

Bro respect for showing this and also for overcoming your fears and giving some great tips along the way! It's such a mental game skating, we know in this instance the worst is never really that bad yet we are wired for survival and will literally avoid discomfort as if our life depended on it! I feel having a friend or group to skate with and progress with would be SOOO SOOO helpful man! If we just supported and believed in each other we would begin to truly believe in ourselves! ✊🛹🙌💛
