My 600-lb Life is an American reality television series that has aired on the TLC television network since 2012. Each episode follows a year in the life of morbidly obese individuals, who usually begin the episode weighing at least 600 pounds (270 kg), and documents their attempts to reduce their weight to a healthy level. Update episodes, called "Where Are They Now?", feature one or more previous patients, picking up a year or more after their original episodes aired.
Patients are placed under the care of Iranian-American Houston surgeon Younan Nowzaradan (often referred to as simply "Dr. Now"), who first has them attempt losing weight on their own by following a strict diet, and then depending on the patient's progress may offer gastric bypass surgery or sleeve gastrectomy to further assist in weight loss.
Watching this made me decide to do intermittent fasting, where I eat once a day. I've done this since September and I'm down 35 pounds. My doctor showed my weight chart from 2022. I was almost 300 pounds. Im now 220
I'm doing IF and walking everyday. I hope it works.

It's the myth that we have to eat 3 meals a day that makes some of us overweight from the start.
I put on weight very quickly when I ate the same amount of calories in three separate meals during the day rather than just one meal at the end of the day. I was only eating about 1500 to 1800 calories a day but it's hard to get a lot of exercise due to my spinal condition.
It also made me feel like I was never really full of energy or completely satisfied.
Where does all the money come from to get all this food ?!?
The thing is, the cheaper the food the worse it is for you.

No mystery - credit cards, what else could it be. They must spend a couple of thousand a month on all that food and don't work , they can't get that much from food stamps. They probably have a ton of credit cards maxed out and just make the minimum payments.

Each meal is at least $35 in assuming more likely $50-$75.

People think I’m mad when I turn down offers of chocolate etc, but I’m 20+ pounds overweight and don’t want to make myself ill from my diet. It’s so frustrating, they look at me as though I’ve gone mad for wanting to better myself.

I might be weird for noticing this and it's so very trivial but one thing all these people have in common are really bad table manners. They're not eating, they're shoveling food into their mouths.

Exactly. Seems SO obvious that they do not savour taste or texture of what they eat. No appreciation or enjoyment - no taste bud sensations? No ability to converse while eating? Satisfying the craving of the gut is not a genuine love of food.

Fr , 1 of those would fill me up until dinner. He stuffed the hell out of them too. Used like 2 weeks worth of eggs and meat.

Years ago I told myself, family & others that I don't like soft drink, McDonalds, pizza, chocolate, KFC, hot chips, etc. It works! I really don't like them now. Best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤

You should watch the British tv series Secret Eaters. The food those people were cooking and eating was unbelievable. One guy made lasagne with a whole stick of butter just in the cheese sauce. It was revolting. He was consuming 7000 calories on some days.
Every child grows up hearing "it's not good for you" regarding certain foods. Where on earth is the logic with these people? They KNOW it will harm their heart and everything else. There is no excuse for this gluttony. Food comforts me too but the depression is far worse when you get fatter. These people need serious therapy to make the connection.

I totally get food addiction- I have binge eating disorder… I’m always in pain - I have a lot of health issues.. this is truly sad- my disorder is getting so much better - I never eat like this though… when my husband gets paid we do have fast food..
