      My doc recommends no, not to. But if I insist. Have plenty of liquids on standby, as Creatine unsafely increases creatinine, a waste product in the kidneys. He was correct. After a year use, my creatinine level was at the highest/outer indicator, while still inside the safe zone.

    My hair reduced falling after I did a few things. I used natural hair masks like avocado and yogurt. I avoided brushing my hair when it was wet to stop it from breakage. Once a week, I rubbed my scalp with hair oil. I washed my hair 1-2 times a week with liiitleextra cocoonionn shampoo.

However, I've dived into all your videos and you've allayed all my fears. I'm loading this week and looking forward to my future gains. The thing is with the hair loss stuff. There might be a chance that i will lose my hair in the future, my grandfather of my mothers side and his entire family were already bald at my age, while my hair is still there and is still really dense. I fear that taking creatine might kick of the process of hair loss. My hair is of amazing quality and quantity and my biggest fear is getting bald.

      Just jump on finasteride & minoxidil, one or the other, or both, but probably consult a physician first. I started using them at 17 (18 now) because I took roaccutane (isotretinoin) an acne medication prescribed my a dermatologist and one of the side effects is hair loss/ thinning. Look, if there is literally no scientific evidence that creatine monohydrate causes hair loss, then there is no problem to worry about. It's like the equivalent of eating junk food knowing its bad, but still doing it and you know the side effects of eating said junk food.

    Creatine has been widely used by athletes/celebrities and the general public for nearly 30 years now, and there have not been any reports on unexplained spikes in baldness amongst either group. Given the crazy scrutiny celebrities and athletes are constantly under now and the prevalence of social media, it's safe to say the alarm bells would have been sounded a long time ago if there was anything to it. That's no even getting into the fact that the study was hugely flawed.

The recommendations on the label of my creapure creatine are to take 3,4 grams of it a day. Is this a correct difference due to it to be a slightly more pure form of creatine or should I stay at the 5 grams a day with the creapure aswell?

  • @AZ-gs6hj
    @AZ-gs6hj 2 роки тому +9

    So creatine does cause hair loss. The majority of men experience male pattern baldness at some point. If you have family members with receding hairlines and bald spots, you most likely have that same gene. If DHT has increased in large leaps after taking creatine, that will only speed up the male pattern baldness. The main concern that many people have is they know eventually they will start balding, maybe in their 30’s or 40’s, but is it worth the risk of starting the balding process earlier for minuscule gains? Most men already know that they will go bald, but with certain lifestyle choices such as exercising, eating a whole food diet, abstaining from drugs/alcohol, sleeping 8-9 hours, keeping stress low, etc, they can slow that process down. If they live a life where they’re drinking and eating unhealthy, most likely they are going to bald a lot faster.

      Yh exactly I’ve already notice hair thinning within a month of taking it. It’s a shame because these big companies won’t come outright and say it because they sell these products. @@Haris-jx9ld if u have balding in your family I would heavily advise not taking it, but if u don’t have balding in ur family it can still thin ur hair a little but once u stop taking it your hair comes back, but the vast majority of ppl who don’t have balding in the family don’t experience hair thinning. I’ve talked to ppl in the gym and one of them said in their family men go bald on top of their head in their late 30s and his older brother was starting to lose his hair as he approached that age but this guy was mid 20s and started to lose his hair line pretty quickly after taking creatine. As soon as he stopped creatine his hair line stopped going back and he did regain some of his hair thickness with loads of hair shampoo.
      But if u r going to take creatine or any other supplements research it and make ur own mind up. Because it is a fact that creatine does increase levels of dht but the affects will be different for everyone.

      @@WGAGENCY The take home message is that if you have MPB apparent in your family history, you too will most likely experience hair loss as well. It's not the creatine making your hair fall out directly, it's the male pattern baldness that gets accelerated by taking creatine. So you will see recession in the temples and crown.
      If you are very DHT sensitive, these are individuals that start balding when they're 17-18 years old. I've seen a few back in high school. They already had full beards and had started losing their hair in their teens. There are different stages for how sensitive you are to DHT and that is all dependent on your genetics. Some men will have a full head of hair their wholes lives and no matter how many supplements and steroids they take, they won't bald at all. Steve Cook is a great example. Definitely was on gear when he was competing and yet perfect hair, perfect skin, looks younger than he is.
      I myself know that there is MPB in my family. No one really has great hair genetics in my family so I decided that it is not worth the possible risk of speeding it up. I've taken it before and the benefits weren't drastic at all. It's not a steroid so you won't just blow up with muscle and strength. I instead focus on optimizing my diet and my recovery and track my training. Making sure the foods I eat are the highest quality with the most nutrient density. Tracking my sleep to make sure I get at least 8 hours a night. Doing all these things will outperform anything creatine will do for you.

    I took creatine about 2 months ago. It made a difference in my performance. I’m 28 and had never taken before. I didn’t load; just did 5g a day. I noticed a lot of hair on my pillow and hair on my hands when I would wash my hair(never experienced this before). I’ve looked at many videos (since creatine did help with my energy levels and focus at the gym). All the most popular videos were made by creators that had supplement sponsorships, had a supplement line or ties to the supplement industry. Long story short: I stopped taking creatine and about 2-3 weeks later I stopped shedding.

I read so many mixed reviews and at the beginning I was very afraid of taking Creatine because of everything I read online. Anyway, I decided to give it a try and see where it goes.

    If you Google for 'Creatin hair loss', you see many articles about it, because anyone on internet can write an article, and a lot of them have just claimed that 'it has been medically shown that Creatin can cause hair loss', without going into the details of the study, so these articles would of course rank on Google. Secondly, most of these articles were from hair loss treatment center websites.
    As for my understanding, the study was done on few number (only 20) of people, who were given 25g/day for a week, then were kept on 5g/day maintenance for 2 more weeks, and the observation was about elevated DHT levels, but there are many other factors that can increase your DHT, and this study was just quite short, and had very less number of people, and none of the other studies that are there have confirmed what this study found.
    Though, I'd love for them to conduct a similar study, so we can know for sure.
    (Also, since DHT can also stimulate beard growth, shouldn't people with patchy beard get a fuller beard after taking creatin?)

    ‘What about weight gain?’ People need to get away from thinking about what their weight is and think instead of what their body composition is. If your weight goes up with creatine 🤷‍♂️ it’s water retention and not fat so it’s not a bad thing.

    Does the amount of in take of creative matter based off your weight? For example, I’m 245lbs and my roommate is 110lbs. Do we have to take a certain amount based off our weight (I read up on this a bit) or does taking the recommended 3-5grams or 20grams daily the best and okay with whatever weight you are?

    • @axlprz11
      @axlprz11 2 роки тому +2

      5 grams of creatine is the golden number. Creatine works on muscles so i would say if you have a lot of muscle rather than fat, take more creatine although 5 should be good. It really depends on the amount of muscle you have, if you weigh 245 & your roommate is 110 but both of y’all have the same amount of muscle, the same amount of creatine should be taken
      edit: i would say do not take more than 10g a day if you do chose to take more than the recommended 3-5 ESPECIALLY if you’re just starting in taking creatine

    Re, the hair loss comment! It's not about that " rugby team study" anymore 🙄 NOR does it mean that because there's no official study evidence of hair loss out there that it's not happening to people.. There's a plethora of comments from the public here on UA-cam alone, that span across over 10 years by creatine consumers themselves, that strongly confirm that creatine CAN and in ALOT of case's cause hair loss. So your also misinforming people you need to do some research besides the generic one time Rugby team study.
    Also, saying if you suffer already from male pattern baldness there's " not much you can do about it" is a shitty and again misinformed comment. There is PLENTY a person can do for male pattern baldness granted at a cost but that's like most things in life right. The Don's are, Minoxidil Finesteride - oral Or topical, Micro needling & Laser Redlight therapy all 4 are significantly effective treatments / for regrowth and ongoing maintenance of hair growth/ density, also small lifestyle changes can also help.

      I don’t get it as well it’s a fact it increases ur dht which is your HAIRLOSS HORMONE so it’s going to fucking cause hairloss, so how are there ppl out there that say it’s 100% safe . All I know is next time I’m going to pretend that a risk will definitely happened so I know what I’m getting myself into coz I was just straight up blinded by gains. The sad thing about it is creatine does get u fat gains so I’ll just have to grind twice as hard.

      @@willhem69 Exactly!! Will, Creatine is somewhat an illusion to the eye it's nothing but water retention, water weight that's it. That then gives BROS the immediate deluded incentive to take to social media and say thing's like being "VEGAN" makes you look like this or who said Vegans can't build muscle, or one month on chicken and rice diet and look 🤦.
      It's not JUST your diet BRO 😆 it's the Creatine you forgot to mention. Like you said you can do it without and sustain it, it just takes longer, more grind and most importantly regular daily eating habits.
