- In this conversation with Pastor Doug Wilson, we dive into his book “Mere Christendom.” We explore a variety of topics and questions such as, what is theonomy and Christian reconstructionism and what does it have to do with Doug’s thinking on these matters? We explore the topic of an informal establishment and the current theocratic regime ruling in America. We close out talking about blaspheme laws.

Rushdoony autographed my well-worn copy of Institutes of Biblical Law at a conference I attended maybe 35 years ago. Years later, on an errand for my boss who was on the board of Chalcedon, I visited Rushdoony in his home and had lunch with him and his wife. I found him to be a kind, charming man, and his book has proven to have had the greatest influence on my thinking than others I have read.
What do you think about Gary North? Just wondering because I hear that name in these circles sometimes too
Thanks
@@AnHebrewChild I found North through Rushdoony and read many of his books. Still have a lot of them and my thinking was influenced by them. He's a master polemicist ... a verbal Street fighter.

@@FullProofTheology Doug misrepresents common law. Common law is based upon "stare decisis" which means current court decisions should be based upon previous court decisions. Rather than laws or statutes.
Hi Friends, Grace, Peace, n LOVE In The HOLY KING. i just want to note, cause it did seem to be not Known or Understood -every single Law has some kind of Application right now, just as every Promise of GOD Is "Yes, and Amen; Ahmein, In CHRIST" and "All Scripture Is GOD Breathed (the Old Testament being referred to there [the New didnt yet exist], and by extension the New) is Profitable for Life and GODliness". Doug, and all of Us who by The SPIRIT Love GOD'S Law (the Picture of HIM) and Obey It (Ez. 36 and so many more, about Us/New Covenant Members) Know that We have to implement the Blasphemy Law. Which will be so much better than the {plural} one's We have now that give GOD'S Due Glory to "demos", etc.. Every one of GOD'S Laws, indeed all that YaHWeH YESHUA Commanded Us, to all the Nations! YHWH Bless and Keep HIS Elect.

You want a "huge evangelistic opportunity" right now? Go to your churches and preach to them. Right now evangelical Christians get abortions and divorces at a far higher rate than their secular counterparts. The states that restrict abortion access the most are the same states that lead the nation in infant mortality, maternal mortality, violent crime, poverty, teen pregnancy (this is the short list of current atrocities that are directly associated with implementing "Christian principles" into law.) Like Jesus said "take the log from your own eye, before you remove the speck from your brothers'.." Until you do, leave the rest of us alone.
@@FullProofTheology Strange that Doug says "property rights are human rights". Can we say the same thing about voting? Gun ownership? What about clean air? Clean water? Clean food? How about houses without lead pipes? Do we have a "human right" to anything else? We need to discard this shallow minded approach as a dead myth from a bygone age. And we are better off leaving that bygone age in the past.
God is a theonomist.
Amen. Inner-TRIUNE Communal (Personal) Sovereignty in HOLINESS

Where is the Full Proof Theology Tequila?
😂
Has Doug forgotten that John Adams was a Unitarian?
@manager0175 Naw. CHRISTian Worldview and way of Life -which those who claim to be Trinitarian aren't living out today, at many times. (Lol, my "many" said "any", lol-)
