- Just as the Title Implies these Folks ended up getting stuck here because of both Fans going out. It appeared to me that salt may have played a big roll in the demise of the Fans.
I am just a one-man shop that is located near the Kentucky border in Southern Illinois. I try hard to have each and every Customer happy when they pick up their vehicle.

At what temp does the cooling fans suppose to kick on on this card? I have a 2011 traverse and connected and obd scanner and my traverse temp reached all the way to 216-218F and finally the fan kick on and dropped back to 205F. But I’m concern my fans are kicking on too late. Help me please. Thank you!
That sounds correct! They normally kick on just after the Thermostat opens. Scan data is give or take a few degree.
Check your temp sensor
How do you do this diagnostic without a power probe?
Very carefully using the battery just remember that batteries store enough energy to weld with. A fuse holder would work.
hello i have taverse 2012 its showing high temperature 1 or 2 bar up on temp gauge as there are two fan mode , the raditaer low fan is working but second high fan is not working most of the time , i even installed a new radiator fan .. any idea sir

I have a 2014 traverse and the temperature hits 210 n fans dont turn on and it's not over heating oa that normal.plz help
210 is normal but fans need to run. Turn on A/C high Fan should come on immediately
@@ralfsautomotive I turn the ac on high and the fans dont turn on at all the ac clutch is working on the ac compressor but blowing warm air.?
@@juanmartinez8260 I don't know then I would have to do further diag, If you have external power supply you can test the Fans.

My wife has a 2011 and it suddenly started blowing hot air. None of the fans are running. We live in Texas. It’s hot here. I checked the relays and fuses they look good. I know you can’t tell without looking at it really. But we don’t have the money to bring it to the shop so is there any way you could give me an opinion. This is the best video I’ve seen so far
As you already know there is nothing I can tell you. Fans will only run if there is a AC request or the coolant is needing to be pulled down. O'Reilly has a test kit for rent that will let you test the fans. It is free to use but requires a deposit.
