"jealous for"? Makes no sense whatsoever. Maybe you mean "envious of". Maybe there's a UA-cam English teacher out there who is as good as this maths teacher. Raise your game.
At 22:50 a student asks, "why do we need to complete the square?" This should have been addressed from the beginning and they would know the reason including the rule of "b" having to be divided by 2.
Joey Very funny exaggeration. That is actually impossible, though. There are only 60 x 60 x 24 = 86400 seconds in a day. So you would be too late to do your test by the time you watched all those videos. LOLOLOLOL

On the last equation, how do you know when it's possible to factor and when not. Because the way I learned was that you had to get a number that could be multiplied into C and also be added together to make B. How does 3+1 = 5x?? If I had something like 2x2 -16x + 3 would the same rule apply?
He skips some steps. 2x2-5x+3=0 a b c STEP 1 ac=2*3=6 Factors of ac: (1,6) (-1,-6) (2,3) (-2,-3) The pair of factors which added together equals -5 is (-2,-3) STEP 2 You plug those two numbers into the equation replacing b ,in this case, -5. The equation becomes: 2x2 -2x-3x +3 = 0 STEP 3 Here comes the factorization!! Split the equation in half, factorizing the first and second half separately. 2x2-2x -3x+3= 0 2x(x-1) -3(x-1) = 0 STEP 4 This next step will bring you to where he starts ;) (2x-3) (x-1) = 0 Hope this helps! Peace. God bless you.
OK, let's substitute numbers. Let's assume for argument sake. X=2. That means x squared would be 4. Add 6X. 6X =12. 4+12=16. Add 1. Total= 17. Isn't that how we learned to do equations? Then using this formula, how can this equation possibly equal 0 unless X=0?
most fast and easy method:- Eg- last question: 2x²-5x+3=0 Step 1 a*c=6 Step 2 l.c.m of a*c = 2,3 Fra: 2x²-2x-3x+3=0 2x(x-1)-3(x-1) (x-1)(2x-3) So Ans: 1,3/2
I do enjoy the videos however I do think the one more jokes are culturally insensitive especially the Ebonics jokes and the Chinese jokes. Not cool at all or funny especially to native Chinese or bilingual American speakers as well to some African American people who may be watching your videos
did i hear some kid asking about Wawa at 14:25? liking just for that. also, would it be the same as fractions if you Used I and/or decimals. also, how did you get 1/4 from 1/16
I hate that my teacher gives us a whole lesson for one day then he adds stuff every day like am I supposed to be born with the knowledge to do this crap?
When I teach completing the square I start with coefficients only. For instance 1+4-5=0 which can be changed to1+4=5. Now take half of 4 and square it to get 1+4+4 = 5 so you have to add 4 to the right side because you did so on the left which becomes 9=9 since 9 is 3 times three so the formula becomes (x-3)squared -9 =0.
Good explainer! I've watched other videos teach 'completing the square' without explaining the (b/2)², or the (b/2) shortcut, making them mathemagicians not teachers. Thanks for the video! In grad school econometrics, the prof put a three-board problem on the white board. One of the top math students said "I see where you began, and I see where the answer is, but how did you get from the beginning to the answer? The prof replied "Do you really want to know??" I almost blurted out 'No. It was an effin' rhetorical question!'
Eyyo, it's also Friday! Btw our school is about to start S.Y.2020-2021 on Monday so, guess advance study in no time hahaha and thanks for your great teaching skills👌
How did you know what b was equal to? I am super confused. I have a big test on this tomorrow, and this video was no help at all. I’m most likely going to fail 😭 My parents are going to kill me!!!!!!!
I'm watching this because my teacher completely skipped this part of the unit!! No joke, I thought I just forgot because it was one of our first units but no she completely skipped it!! Like darn, no wonder I had no idea what it was talking about on the midterm. I don't have to take finals anymore because of the mess going on right now but my friend needs help for online classes and honestly, you made this really easy to understand. Thank you!!
im so thankful for stumbling across this video. ive been struggling to learn this method even after being taught in school and referring to some videos on yt. u just made it look so simple, thanks a lot!!!
you are better at teaching than any other teacher i have ever had thanks
I'm jealous for the students, they have no idea how lucky they are to have a teacher like you.
exactly :.,(
if i were a teacher i would be jealous of HIM, the students act so well

Hes a good teacher, im 35 and taking classes i havent been in school in a while, this video is helping me better than the teacher i have now.
Love from INDIA❤️ BEST MATH TEACHER, following since years
I like the way you teach
Thanks am now so ready for my exam today this helped me so much

Ooooh I wish you were my teacher at school you're Awesome
Great videos and love them so much
Thank you for this upload
You're a good man, thank you.

BryBoo smith square root of -1
Bigtwerkk i thought you couldnt take the square root of a negative number
the i = -1 so you can take out the - in the square root making it positive so you can square root
Meghan oh okay thank you
this was helpful
I am watching this vid on a tuesday
One Moe For MARYLAND!!!!!!!! Whoooooo!
this guy is awesome --- THUMBS UP to u bro
yayy math, yayy life😂
x^2+6x+9=8
A lot of students from his earlier videos are now out of college.
Your best teacher go forwark
Where did u get (2×-3) and (2×-1)
But 6× is only one x then y did u write (6+×) and (6+×) although there's only one "×".
its a mistake in ur last equation sir, its not equal to 5x when factoring
Why is the i there (11:17)
em watching on Tuesday night the date is 12/10/19
why+9?
Hi I want to ask you about something
What is answer of i¹8 ?
I know this video isn't about the complex numbers but I need to know the answer
Are you asking i*8? or Square Root 8i?
Don't worry I've known the answer
If you need Algebra 1 and 2 help website, go to www.openalgebra.com (it is free)
please i would like for help???
Smh it's actually Tuesday night
Why is your "m" having horn on top in your "completing"
7:23 play on 2x speed.
13:32 the solution is wrong.....
x^2 - 8x + 24 = 0...
The roots are 5,3.
That works if the equation is x^{2}-8x+15, otherwise his answer is correct.

U’re pretty smart
Why are all math professors kinda hot as hell

Im sure 50% students cannot understand correctly
When you have a test tomorrow and you just gotta spend the day watching 1048383737 videos on how tf you actually do math
Thats me right now

i love you... i love you.. so much... thank you... never stop.. you're not allowed.

I know righhhhtt
It would be the same bc wouldn’t x just replace b?
Yeah. 3 +1 =5? Wtf???
He skips some steps.
2x2-5x+3=0
a b c
STEP 1
ac=2*3=6
Factors of ac: (1,6) (-1,-6)
(2,3) (-2,-3)
The pair of factors which added together equals -5 is (-2,-3)
STEP 2
You plug those two numbers into the equation replacing b ,in this case, -5.
The equation becomes:
2x2 -2x-3x +3 = 0
STEP 3
Here comes the factorization!!
Split the equation in half, factorizing the first and second half separately.
2x2-2x -3x+3= 0
2x(x-1) -3(x-1) = 0
STEP 4
This next step will bring you to where he starts ;)
(2x-3) (x-1) = 0
Hope this helps!
Peace. God bless you.
trial and error
thank you, my teacher stinks at teaching me. this was very helpful.
So do u at being a student
You helped me a lot I love you :]
I just realized it is a Tuesday night for me :O

Sir: Could you share an example where one would use 'Completing the Square' in everyday situations, (student here, not an expert). Thanks
OK, let's substitute numbers. Let's assume for argument sake. X=2. That means x squared would be 4. Add 6X. 6X =12. 4+12=16. Add 1. Total= 17. Isn't that how we learned to do equations? Then using this formula, how can this equation possibly equal 0 unless X=0?
most fast and easy method:-
Eg- last question:
2x²-5x+3=0
Step 1 a*c=6
Step 2 l.c.m of a*c = 2,3
Fra:
2x²-2x-3x+3=0
2x(x-1)-3(x-1)
(x-1)(2x-3)
So
Ans: 1,3/2

It's Friday night, and I am trying to learn this method, in order to tutor my Grade 12 grandson.
I enjoy yay math you're the only lecturer I understand math from with no questions in my head.....Keep up the good work.
Thanks. I know how to do it now. I just finished my homework because of you.
Great teacher!! Kudos! Keep up the excellent work!!

16:23 Where did you get the half, you multiplied -5x/2 to 1/2 ?
because he's halving -5x/2 to fill the bracket.
halving is the same is multiplying by 1/2
What about a number that can’t be in half? Like 9
can he please be my teacher lol
