Saunders Waterford watercolour paper 7 x 11 inches approx 300gsm Cold Pressed On block.
Ultramarine (Cobalt Blue)
Burnt Sienna (Quin Rust)
Quin Gold (Raw Sienna)
White Gouache (W&N)
Ink palette
Triple pot water
Washi tape.
Table salt.
Brush: Grey & Light Brown.
Large flat brush. Size 14, 10, 6, 4 & 2 Black Velvet Brushes.

Hi Karen, it's so well explained , and you show so well how much the painting needs to dry to create an amazing atmosphere. Beginners are in such a hurry to make a masterpiece that they forget to let it dry and to fine-tune the details :-)

I loved this tutorial and gave it a go, to tremendous success! It's challenging to have a limited palette but stretches us as artists to mix colours while aiming for a unified result. I appreciated the little details and strategies like lifting behind the trees to create backlight. It adds realism and charm.

Beautiful, Karen! I so love the look and feeling of nature. I've just decided to try my hand at watercolor and have slowly been assembling the needed materials. I believe this is the first painting I'll attempt, and if it turns out only half as well as yours, I'll be ecstatic. (By the way, I loved the wildness that the Brusho lends to the painting).
