hey, you like what you feel, ya know? I don't agree with you, but you love good music.. I've healed so much within Bon Iver's sounds.. saw them in St. Augustine a few weeks ago... and... tears.
This song, particularly this rendition makes me feel the way I do after a really good cry. Fresh, like some weight has been lifted and hopefull. But still at the back of my throat and body the felling of sadness has not yet gone and the memory of being upset lingers. A kind of beautiful melancholy I guess....
I cannot put into words what this man makes me feel. I’m not religious but I believe there is occasionally a musical genius like this man that brings out the best in people. Like Bob Marley, one in a million. 🙏✌🏻💜🌎🌍🌏
The fact that this guy is so divisive and misunderstood by so many people.......just makes him more appealing to me personally. All REAL geniuses have that quality I think. They are operating out in that area right on the edge of reality where it meets the unknown and intangible and they pull it into something coherent. Some people get it, some people don’t.
I think he could be perceived as divisive based on the fact he is left leaning… I agree he seems super chilled by nature. This is perhaps why I was saying he is misunderstood, he just comes across as someone who cares about humanity but because he has political allegiances with the democrats he is at risk of being seen as some sort of political commentator. Also, in my original comment I was more referring to the fact that there seems to be groups of people (like me) who think he is a musical genius, and others who really don’t rate him at all. Dylan has always suffered from the same Judgement I think.
@@Moggy1980 interesting take… he’s definitely a musical genius. I’m a conservative but could give two shits about that honestly. Judging someone for something other than their job or character is for the birds man. So annoying being from my generation where that’s all people care about… people gotta get back to the stuff that matters in this world. It should be normal for people to disagree on policy and still have a beer at a concert… sadly, not anymore my friend
@@TheRingKeeper couldn’t agree more…I was very left leaning when I was younger and have changed as I have aged, but I certainly wouldn’t judge a musician on their beliefs either way. social media etc means that people are scrutinised like never before on whatever they say or do these days so I guess there isn’t much that can be done about it. Anyway, peace to you brother ✌🏻
Yeah I agree. I loved the album but it felt like it didn't have as much soul to me (compared to the previous albums) until I heard them perform it live and that experience just takes it up a notch. I think the live instruments and his vocals being less auto-tuned makes it better.
This album is incredible. The previous albums have been so real they make you step into a place and reconsider everything you have ever thought possible. 22, A Million has taken this approach on music in it of itself to bring light to something so beautiful it transcends through human nature to enlighten souls and capture emotions long lost or buried deep. This album will play out as one of the most influential pieces to modern music in this century.
Really fantastic version of this great track.. Really cool to see it "come to life".. a lot of care has been taken here and i think he / they nailed it.
This song has a strange reminder of what death may be like. My closest brush was with DMT and after I experienced it to their song 'woods' I realized just how musical wisdom this man carries in his spirit. He inspires so many raw emotions every single time I play his music. This song reminds me how close we are to our deadline.
Yes, he was like 'fuck, I hear someone playing, but where the hell is he?! Ah there he is, but shit, now he's standing behind some things and I can't capture him"
and then the video editor was like "alright nice solo mr.saxophone HOW A-BOUUUT i switch to a close-up of the guitarist playing something we can't hear -yesss."
This song makes me so sad for personal reasons and memories associated w/ it but i love this song nonetheless. It really has its own life and takes up space like any soul would thats why i think it feels so heavy
Is it just me or is it just way better to listen to the live recordings of his music than watch music videos? With other artists that's not always true.
