These are some of the most straight forward lyrics and one of the more simple songs by Justin. Refreshing. Just hope that he isn’t getting bored and struggling with creativity.
You put my thoughts into words lol. Tbh this sounds nice but it does seem like Justin is using 85% of his max Power at the Moment XD
He has an absolute ton of straight forward songs - Blood Bank, For Emma, etc. He has also moved across genres and styles throughout his career. Just enjoy the ride and try not to overthink things.

@@samspi9461 I do enjoy it. I love his more simple songs. Blood Bank and For Emma are two of my favorite songs. Just an observation. His last two albums were very complex with a lot of moving parts. But there are some artists that lose their creativity and start trying to just make “radio hits” while living off their most popular music the rest of their career. Not saying that’s what’s going to happen. Just a fear of mine. Bon Iver is awesome and I want Justin to keep pushing the limits of his creativity.

After the last couple albums that were more noises than instruments and coded words than coherent lyrics I'm glad to hear something like this again
It's a little unfair to call the great music on 22AM and i,i noises and incoherent lyrically, songs like 8 (circle), Creeks, 00000 Million, Sh'diah, Hey Ma, Faith, Salem, Rabi, Heavenly Father are all brilliant musically and (some more than others) lyrically.
Fair enough if they're not to your taste but a lot of people really love the progression - imo FEFA is a great folk album but the latest releases really push the boundaries of modern indie/folk music
I agree this sounds like the old Bon Iver again
