*Great with keeping my 1st floor **Fastly.Cool** . Had a little struggle getting it to sit properly in my small window but once I got it situated it works perfectly.*
A tip of the hat to you sir! Concise, straight forward and to the point. Thank you very much for this as I just purchased a 28ft 5th wheel with this system and there was no documentation on the heating/cooling system. Saved the day as I live in the mountains.
Thank you so much for this video. My thermostat got changed to Celsius in my trailer and couldn’t figure out how to change it back. Can’t believe it was so easy. Thank you for a simple, informative video
David Levin OMG... I totally agree! And the fan isn’t as loud on auto! With this Florida heat and intense loudness of that fan constantly running... I swear I thought I was going to go insane! Lol... Now I can actually hear myself think again!
Thank you for this video! My RV was running the A/C with 33° temps! Plus we were running thru way too much Propane. The video was easy to understand and made it easy to fix. 🥰 Thank you so much
@@darianpellicciotti9760 you are most welcome! Thank you for making the video I was seriously at my wit's end. The documentation I received from my R/V dealership was awful.
Wow, it's starting to heat up and couldn't figure out why the A/C wasn't coming on. Yep, set on centigrade. This breaks down the functions in a very simple manner. Could not find the owner's manual. This video is awesome!!! Thank you so much.
Thank you! Very helpful as the thermostat cover periodically gets bumped off when entering/exiting the bathroom. When we put the cover back on, it goes to celcius setting, so now we know how to toggle it back fahrenheit. Yay!
Thank you, Darian! As many others have noted, the constant sound of a running fan on a lengthy camping trip can wear you out mentally. 🤪 This video saved many from having to dig out the manual for the umpteenth time.
Thank you for this video you saved me a lot of frustration. Last night was my first time using my travel trailer and we experienced exactly this situation
Thank you guy!! Mine got stuck on Celsius too . Wife was freakin out. Wiped it with a disinfectant wipe and messed it up. Thanks again . Very helpful 🙏🙏
Got so fed up with their crappy thermostat that I purchased an EasyTouch RV™ Thermostat. Finished installing it yesterday. The Dometic CT Thermostat would automatically increase temp to the max for no stinking reason. You touched the dang thing and it would go crazy, I have 2, one in the main living and one in the rear of our toy-hauler. I disconnected the one in the rear and will now order one for the rear of our toy-hauler. I am telling you guys, it is worth the $249 just to get done with the aggravation. Plus you can control them with your phone over bluetooth and wifi from anywhere whilst monitoring inside temp if you happen to have pets .
Thanks I needed to know how to move it off of Celsius when I accidentally put it on Celsius in the middle of the night your video was very informative. Thank you.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! We just recently got the RV and it's freezing out, 51, and we're so cold! I couldn't get the heat to turn on unless it was set to 85...and the fan kept running. I now have the fan OFF but the heat set to regulate at 85! I don't care as long as it's not 60 in the RV anymore!
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! My disabled vet father was going insane trying to figure out how the heck he got to Celsius on his new RV's unit, and the Dometic support website is pretty much worthless. Because of this, I'll be rooting for the Steeler's to beat the Patriots this year! 👍🏻
Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!
Hi. So if it's 30 degrees outside setting this thermostat at about 25 I notice the AC rarely shuts off till way after the sun goes down. Setting it to 27 ,would that make it cycle off more ? Thanks
We have the same thermostat and after running out of propane through the night our dometic thermostat does not come onto furnace mode. When I turn it on it power on it goes to auto fan mode then cool mode and back to off again. Any idea why will be doing this and what the fix is? Thanks
Helpful to know the Fan is the AC fan. However, don't all furnaces have their own blowers? Mine should be on, set to 72F while the room is at 64F, but I can't hear anything, there's no air coming out of the furnace vents at all, and the rooms certainly isn't heating up. Propane is full, electrical is fine...what am I doing wrong? (second-hand 2018 Highland Range.)
Hi this is Vicki here and we have that same thermostat it’s about three years old in our camper and it’s irritating trying to work at every time we touch it it won’t turn on the what we want we just have to keep touching and touching it hope u can help us
On my father's unit I've found that the inputs are very finicky, because of how the faceplate touches/interacts with the inside of the thermostat. I'd take the faceplate off and make sure that the three pads that touch the button leads out of the system board are clear of debris and not protruding unnecessarily. The faceplates of these units aren't designed very well, and it seems that RV makers put them in high traffic areas. On my father's RV, the thermostat is between the bathroom door and the refrigerator, insuring that it takes an unnecessary beating. He continually knocks is off inadvertently as he exits the restroom.
Hey I wanted your though on something. I'm having an issue where my dometic AC only runs in the "High" setting. Auto or low causes the AC to shut off after a few minutes and I have to reset the breaker to get it working again. it's not tripping the breaker though. I tried replacing the thermostat and it still does the same thing. Some people online are saying that the RV ACs are only designed for one speed. I find this hard to believe since everything worked fine for the first year.
Thank you. Amen to UA-cam and people like you who take the time to give RVers clear instructions.
Haha I have to watch this video every time we go camping
Me too

Thank you for taking the time to make this video and save my sanity. No manuals were speaking to these two issues.
Very welcome, we saw the need for this video as well, many questions coming in on the subject. Video was necessary. lol
David Levin OMG... I totally agree! And the fan isn’t as loud on auto! With this Florida heat and intense loudness of that fan constantly running... I swear I thought I was going to go insane! Lol... Now I can actually hear myself think again!
Thank you, somebody finally provided a great service. This is a major problem and you just fixed it. You are now my star. Thanks Phill
Your Welcome Glad it helped

Thank you so much!! Fan was running constantly!! Fixed. And the Celsius is a plus we’re in canada ☺️
Glad I found this video before reading the manual. Covered exactly what I needed to know. Thank you!

Literally just happened to me!
Thank you for saving my sanity from a constant running LOUD fan! I’m a very happy lady! 😁
Thanks Matt. I don't have a manual so your instructions were great.
This was a life saver when we rented a motorhome and the rental company had no info to help! Saved my butt from waking up with cold wife and kids
Thank you, Darian! As many others have noted, the constant sound of a running fan on a lengthy camping trip can wear you out mentally. 🤪 This video saved many from having to dig out the manual for the umpteenth time.
Very Welcome glad this video has helped
Thanks! I was looking for the Fahrenheit/Celsius control, too.
Thank you for this video you saved me a lot of frustration. Last night was my first time using my travel trailer and we experienced exactly this situation
This video was great! I understood him so easily, and didn't even look at the manual!
THANK YOU!!! only other thing is the touch screen isn't as easy to change modes, have to keep touching it over and over
Thank you for posting this video, you broke it down well
Your welcome sir
Thank you guy!! Mine got stuck on Celsius too . Wife was freakin out.
Wiped it with a disinfectant wipe and messed it up. Thanks again . Very helpful 🙏🙏
THANK YOU!!!!! You just made the next 8 nights so much better in my life!!!
After a hot andccold night on our new travel trailer, this was a great way to avoid arguing. Thanks

Thank you!!
Great video, helped a lot OUR PROBLEM IS E4 code how-why ? wont go away

When I'm running heater I set it to 72 then it will randomly jump to 90 degrees... how do I fix this?

Why does the air conditioner keep kicking off and on?
WHAT is the model number for that thermostat please?
Dometic Capacitive Touch Thermostat does not work with cover on. Any ideas why? Works fine without cover on.
I get that problem also! Did you ever find a fix?
