Thanks for taking the time to check this out! I loved how you used Shredder and Boost from Heatpressor to push the gain amp 👌🏻 On the delay, you had the spread set in the middle position which kinda adds a swing to the stereo and pong delay, dial that back to 0 if you prefer a more straight style repeat. When you get a chance try presets such as Afterglow to hear our approach to a shimmer like experience. Thank you so much for the thorough and thoughtful run through. Cheers! Thomas
Thomas was a child prodigy who played with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Ozzy Osborne and more before he was even ten years old. He was also on Steve Vai's "The audience is listening" video. He seemed to abandon guitar playing for years but has come back with a vengeance and an incredible amp modelling plugin.
I JUST loaded it and I love it for the stuff I play. not a Vai type player but I love the Suite - this is the old version on this demo the newer upgrade is even better!!!!!
Bill glad to see you playing again! Polychrome is McRocklin’s own plugin company, maybe you could hit him up and work on a chords of Orion suite! I’d be the first to buy!
Appreciate the demo and review. I waited for the release of PolyChrome DSP McRocklin Suite for weeks/months, and purchased it as soon as I learned it was available. I find it easy and intuitive to use, sounds great and it's my main guitar plugin now, though I still use others (e.g., Blue Cat Audio Axiom, Softube, ...) in Ableton Live. There are a few features I'm waiting for, some are coming (e.g., MIDI control) that will make it viable for live use in some contexts. Computer, audio interface, MIDI floor controller, wireless. Cheers!
I really like this plugin, I have the demo and load it up now and then. What's preventing me from buying is the price and sound. I find the sound/tone a little brittle, artificial, too many high freqs. I would buy though if there was a sale just because it's fun to play with.
Incredibly well. Unfortunately, the review here didn’t really catch on to ducking the grain delay to create a lush backdrop. The built-in preset “Afterglow” shows this nicely
@@chordsoforion definitely worth checking out the demo if nothing else. I purchased Polychrome at launch, so I’ve been using it for about 5 months now. And I understand that ambient isn’t a singular style. For me, the combination of heavy ducking (80%+) the grain delay with long delay time and the dream reverb creates the washed out, lush ambient tones for when I want to dabble in that style. And I just use the loopers in my DAW with MIDI control. But I also understand that if the context if a one stop shop specialized to the interests of full on ambient guitarists, Polychrome doesn’t deliver the entire package. But it does deliver a heck of a lot more than just Vai clone tones.

Thomas
I just purchased the suite - I LOVE it
Hi Thomas, i cannot find the preset he used "coo lead", I love it. It is Paty here (Newcastle)
Hello! We’re a big fan of you here! Thanks so much for checking out the McRocklin Suite! 💜

Nice piece of software...thank you for the demo !
Glad to see you're better
Getting there! Have another Dr appt this week. Hopefully that will be it!
Good review and great playing. I appreciate the fair observations, and I always enjoy listening to you play guitar.
Thomas McRocklin was the kid from Steve Vai's “The Audience Is Listening” music video -
He played Little Stevie Vai ("such a nice boy")

Thanks! Midi in 1.3 as well as something… 🤓
@@McRocklin 🥰
I've used Polychrome exclusively since I got it. Havent touched Neurals at all!
I have this and have made some really sweet cleans and ambient sounds...
But dude, I'd be all over a Chords of Orion ambient plugin!! 🤩💫
Just bought this for my Xmas pressie - it's on special offer ATM - I love it. Clean, shred, build, tweak - what's not to like.
Nice!!
I❤your ambient music very mutch
Thomas McRocklin opened for Ozzy when he was 8 years old.
🤘🏻 🌟 🤘
Hi Bill! Hope you’re doing ok and please be kind to yourself! ✌️😌🎸

I seem to remember a pretty good Black Friday sale last November. Might want to keep an eye out. Also, I think your sound observations are spot on.
you make everything sound good, I am sure you could make a microphone mounted in a tin can sound really good.
Can I save presets and use MIDI to switch among them?
Best music❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice demo but not really my cup of tea. Thanks for your continuing work.
But does it ambient?

Yes, as long as you do not need a delay longer than 2.5 seconds or need a built-in looper. There is a demo - I would recommend checking it out.
