Good Video man i just wanted to add this for other people who want to make sure the level is good. Youll find a level plug on the drivers side near the CV shaft, you need to run the trans thru 1-4 on jack stands dont pass 4 , once you do this put it in P hold the rpm to 2000rpm so the converter is full and with a hand held scanner get the trans temps to 99-113f (37-45c) Make sure the trans temp stays between this window and remove the level plug till the fluid drips out once its dribbling slow put the plug back in and youre set. It such a PITA that alot of new vehicles do this and go away with the stick. I see you tow the EG with the MDX how you find it tows ?
Hey man thanks for the info! Im gonna pin this on top 👌 I saw this exact way of checking the Oil level but wasn't so sure and didn't have the scanner to make sure everything was good!. The towing is great! Its not a pickup truck tho! I'm very gentle on the acceleration/brakes when towing. I try to load the car not too forward on the trailer because the MDX is "squatting" alot. Im thinking buying heavier rate rear springs to put on the MDX!
@@THPcars did you find bags for the 3rd gen yet? I have a 2.5 I tow 6k with my folks just got a 19 im gonna do some upgrades on . The rest bags on the 2.5G help huge .
@IMRgarage i saw some kit here and there but I'm not sure if I wanna go on air suspension since I live in canada and air bag in cold weather tend to always deflate 😅. But I'll think about it that might be an option 👌
Awesome that you're putting a trans cooler on the 9-speed. Because there's a zillion videos on the 6-speed only. I have a 2018 Honda Pilot. With the nine speed transmission. That should be your label, trans cooler install for 9-speed transmission Honda Acura. I got a good deal for the harness and hitch from a Honda dealer online half off from where I live. Also came with a OEM trailer brake unit that connects under the dash. But it's the trans cooler that was concerning me most. I live in Maryland USA. Dealers here want about 700 to install it.. I want to do it myself. Along with the timing belt maintenance at 100k. So at least I found your video. It should be helpful, thank you. Oh the overflow port on mine is right above the driver side axle. When I change the fluid I just opened that up when I'm adding it while the engine is running and wait till it starts flowing out..
