    Nice job. I’ve seen a small steam boat as a kid which moves using this engine. So basically this same engine is mounted inside a ship “body “ which is designed to go in a circle as long as the fire is on. Was a fun toy! 😁

    Mr.Gamb. I hope you might reply. I think of all the videos on pop pop boilers, this is the best. I've watched many but no one is talking about the angle of the boiler. How did you arrive at the tipped up design rather than flat.
    One other thing no one mentions is metal prep to remove varnish. I've encountered this and takes awhile.
    I also thought of soldering the disc inside the boiler as yours, but am going to attempt to solder it on the flat edge of the can first. Sorry for length of post. It looks like you're using 5/16" tubing, does diameter matter ?

    • @MrGamb
      @MrGamb  Рік тому +2

      the inclination of the boiler has to do with the accumulation of steam in the highest part! and also to facilitate the release of excess heat from the flame, which in my case could melt the solder on the tube, tin is not a good option for this! but if you don't leave a very strong flame it works! I used 5/16"! For the size of the boiler, I think it's the most appropriate measure! I don't have much knowledge on the subject... I hope I helped! Thanks for the comment! Hugs...

    • @williamokrasinski9840
      @williamokrasinski9840 Рік тому +3

      @@MrGamb Thanks for the reply. My experiment only worked briefly until the solder blew out near the flame. Plus the .006" (.1524 mm) thick lid wasn't flexible enough to pop.
      I'm trying to figure some way to lock in a soda can Aluminum top inside the ring of the boiler. It's becoming somewhat harder to construct this design than many videos show. I haven't tried Silver solder, but heat required may deform everything. Still trying. Thanks again.

      @@MrGamb - ”the inclination of the boiler has to do with the accumulation of steam in the highest part”, but the protruding ends of the pipes should be there too, otherwise the water would be thrown out also, hence the inclination of the boiler should be the opposite way. Nice idea, anyway! What about using lighter pipes and with nozzles, to increase the speed of the steam, the inner pressure, the temperature of the steam and the energy of the jet?

    • @rasvan55
      @rasvan55 Рік тому +2

    • @arnoldtm31
      @arnoldtm31 2 роки тому +4
