There should be a contest on what people can make off one of these old blades. Or how many different things you can make off one of these blades. I've seen hatchets, knives, scrapers, darts, arrow points and now scissors.
I just throw them at trees. Fun. Guys got an alright idea though. Pretty groovy. Maybe when I'm retired and have nothing but time on my hands I'll do shit like that to keep buzy.
@@heavyhaulert9026 I was thinking the exact same thing not to mention he has to charge those cordless tools. some day soon. Some people just don't think outside the box or think at all I guess... wow I won't even begin to get into the fact that producing all the energy to charge his tools is worse for the planet then good old gas power tools. Not that he used those in this video, generally speaking though..
I use my old blades differently. Get yourself a 1-inch square or round piece of timber about a metre long and slit one end lengthways to accommodate half the blade and the centre hole. Place the blade inside the slit and drill a hole through to accommodate a bolt and nut. Now take the finished product outside and attack those weeds growing up through the expansion joints in your driveway. Drag the blade through the gaps on a slight angle works best.
First thing I thought when the teeth were being cut off was.. I hope this isn’t a back yard where kids play in the grass. Ouch! Pretty cool idea though!
Great idea Paul. Thanks for sharing this. However ... I was shocked to see you working with an angle grinder on an unsecured work piece, particularly one as dangerous as a saw blade. Also, I hope those gloves are Kevlar!
@@timmcquain3855 if one were to attach 1/2 of the saw blade to the handle with nuts and bolts and do the same for the bench mount half, wouldn’t that hold up pretty well if one tightened it tightly and used lock nuts?
seems like a lot of work when you could just use heavy duty snips?. i wish i had time to do little projects to make stuff i already have..but still very cool idea

Okay, that was cool. I had no idea what you were building at first. Good idea. But don't get your dork caught in that thing :-)
Wow très bonne idée 💡...merci
I might make one, not cos I need it, just because I can 👍🏻😄
Walked in skeptical, walked out impressed. 👍
He better not walk barefoot on his lawn with all those offcuts of metal everywhere. I hope he doesn't have pets.
I want one of those white pens. They cut EVERYTHING!
Most Triumphantly Excellent!
Excelente. Gracias por la idea 💡

jaw drops, humbled, ate my own words. My RESPECTS!
Thats one of the better ideas.👍
the time, effort(plus tools needed ie: welder) and results just can't compete with a good pair of sheers.
it's a nice past time but nothing more
What a fantastic idea I will try this tomorrow thanks for sharing your time and skill 🍺🍺👍👍🇬🇧
Thanks
Very creative!!!!
Same results with angle iron. Thanks for your thoughts.

My friend... Cool Cool Cool...
Will it shear 18 gauge metal? That's a pretty neat shear for a little scrap metal and a little welding.
well done my frens
erstaunlich, was Sägeblätter für Ideen haben
You da Man. Excellent Job...

I'll be blowed!😄👍I did not know that those blades were tough enough for that.

No electricity, no batteries, no fancy tools. Well done!
Except for the cordless grinder. Well, and the welder, and cordless drill But other than that,

Believe he meant the shear that he made doesn’t need those things....
@@alejandrospeed6399 that would be correct. Nice to see someone understands what is going on here…….
@@alejandrospeed6399 ya, but it needed all of those to be made. Still counts.
very bueno !!!!!!!!!!
That was a great idea.

Old saw blades are very high quality steel, and can be used for many things requiring this type of steel.
That tool idea is slicker than snot on a door knob

Thank you 😊
Ok, I give up, that was clever.
Felicitaciones...

Cool! Paint the blade to look like PacMan!
Sweet 👍🏻 👍🏻

Nice 👍🏻👍🏻 🇮🇳 Kuki 22|06|2022
Secondo me è ottima anche per il pavimento laminato
Least we not forget they make great frisbees play catch
That's what tin snips are for !
Lo que cortas es chapa de aluminio o hierro. Buena banda idea.
I will stick with tin snips.
Hahahahaha. Get outta my head.
tin snips or the cut off wheel, somewhat clever but...
I like that it can be made even without a welder
NO IT CANT WATCH VID again
@@timmcquain3855 I am sorry for your lack of personal creativity, I can't imagine what that darkness must be like.

That's cool but probably easier just to go buy a sheet metal shear
Franchement bien ! Mais je suis déçue ! Je croyais qu' il allait faire un petit hérisson ^^
Nice choppe
Seems like a lot of work to make tin snips.
AGAIN,... AGREED, MOST of us can't afford those tools unless used needed OFTEN.
It is not tin snips, its called a metal shear. Nice tool
Ótima ideia
impressive
Pretty neat. Might have to use it if I ever come across a destroyed saw blade

I have plenty... ill send u some lol
Cut it into half > for 2 rocking metal cleavers
buen trabajopero que sea unpoco lento explicacion muy rrapido

🧐 name the brand of snips you have that can cut saw blades faster than a Zip disk 🤷🏻♂️ my drop shear will do it😂 but you said snips ‼️
@@markmason6869 well I was referring to cutting the metal not the saw blade? Not sure where you came up with I said I could cut saw blades with snips?
@@porterslake4852 AGREED,!!!
@@markmason6869 it
for repetitive straight cuts? I'd rather not use snips ...
