Absolutely love the planter you made for me!!! Just beautiful! What a wonderful surprise!❤❤❤❤ Can't wait to see the Amaryllis bloom! Thank you so much!!
The nursery (?) you went to has nothing on the arrangements you make! I loved seeing the bluebird on the swag you made for the birds and the entryway pot arrangement for your mother, gorgeous!!! I wish I were close enough to Longwood to "just swing by" but it's 1 1/2 to 2 hours away and my dog would be doing her pee pee dance long before I got back home! Maybe an overnight stay at a pet friendly B&B with her kennel would be a way to visit... Christmas present from me to me?!?! 💞😀💖
The bluebird was the icing on the cake!! What a beautiful surprise of God's creation on your festive swag! The birds are eating it up!! Choosing Joy~ Stephanie
I loved seeing the bird on your swag💙🎄 Beautiful planter for your Mom and thank you so much for showing us Longwood gardens❤️ I probably will never get to see it in person. You look so beautiful all bundled up🤗
I used to live up the street from Brandywine River in Birmingham township! Not far from both of these Pennsylvania gems! Longwood Gardens has a fabulous Gift Shop as well. Moved to New Jersey 10yrs ago, So fun to get these glimpses of Superb Gardening Inspiration! ⭐️👏🎄👍👍 Terrain is to gardeners like Anthropology is fashion lovers, Nobody beats their Merchandising & window displays! 🤔What is that BULB your growing? almost like a white hot poker stick plant🤯
Hi Danielle. The outdoor arrangement you made is absolutely gorgeous! I think it’s my favorite outdoor arrangement that I’ve seen so far this year. Thanks for sharing!
Should have left my ranunculus in,that is so cute !!! 😁 Thanks for sharing 😊 Grace tilting her head when you tell her where you are going, so sweet !!! 🤗
I’m close to terrain and Longwood Gardens- I’m going to both this week- so excited! Both places are so inspirational! I love the gorgeous pots you put together for your mom!🌿🌳
I'm soo excited for you on that ronuculus!!!! Things are changing everyday with our weather! Our climate is changing and it's just gonna keep changing. I think eventually it's all gonna be reversed and we get to be here when it's first obvious changes!! I also believe that 1980 was the best year on, to be born! I have sunrises that look gorgeous orange pink sherbert ombre. In the summer we had the same sunsets. Longwood gardens is very pretty! I have the Toledo Zoo lights before Christmas that never gets old!! All your cuttings are perfect, I miss the name of them neat stick balls but I'd bet that spray snow would look neat covering them. Thank you for sharing with us!!🌲🎄🌲🎄 Ps I think it's crucial that we keep journals on everything we plant exspeacily with our new climate change!!
I was thinking more about your ranunculus: is that a micro climate against that wall? Does it face south or west? It was so warm this fall, maybe it got confused 💚
Love it! So funny about the ranunculus! I had some corms accidentally left in the ground From this Spring and they started responding about a month ago... No blooms but I bet you if I would have provided them a little bit of cover they would have bloomed! (I'm zone 6b)
My amaryllis bloom is emerging!!!!!! It's outside now in 8b, Old Town Florida near the Suwannee river. 1st plant. Thanx for the tutorial and tour! I loved my mother and you show everyone you love yours! Beautiful display of winter. But I would put a bow on that outdoor arrangement. A big red bow, oh my!! Make everything just P O P! and the Bird's arrangement was like a CALENDAR PICTURE!! You must make one! Oh dear! I would purchase it!! Many of us would! AHAVA
Weirdly, both my ranunculus and anemones sent up leaves this fall, but no flower stems. That layering is brilliant! I can see how to do it and absolutely love how it looks!
Love your hat, you look so pretty with it on. Very cool about the Ranunculous! Also to report back on my Apple Blossom Snapdragons which I had not pulled last year in zone 5b… They bloomed their heads off in the spring, I would say even stronger than the year before, they did wane somewhat in the summer just like they had last year, then took off again in the fall with an amazing display. I added Madam Butterfly Snaps this year and have not pulled either, put a light layer of leaves on them. Staking is necessary & pinching back to keep bushier is probably a good idea. I didn’t do enough of either, I just cut for bouquets as needed but they looked great still. My neighbors loved the great big swaths of both kinds by the sidewalk & I gave away many beautiful arrangements complimented with Apricot king Asters, Queen lime red zinnias & green zinnias.
Thank you for another beautiful video. Lots of eye candy. I could easily mistake the pot you created for your parents for one at Terrain or in Longwood Gardens. 🌿🎄🪴
Last year a few leftover ranunculus corms came up in the winter but no blossoms. This year I have several growing now but still no blooms. I'm going to cover them with some shredded leaves and see if I can baby them along! Who knows, maybe we should just keep the corms in the ground like daffodil bulbs and enjoy them yearly!! I live in Southeast Pennsylvania 10 minutes from Longwood Gardens.
Such a great video! From the beautiful container you made for your mom to Terrain and then of course Longwood-perfect! Did you get some of the Eucalyptus Pods? I bought some from Briar Rose when I was up there. They are fabulous!
I am 8b PNW, and leave my ranunculas in ground and in pots. They go dormant in summer, and green leaves return in fall, but have never seen a reblooming, that would be amazing.
Just amazing about the ranunuculus!! Shows they are more cold hardy than we thought! Look forward to hearing more about you testing this out. We have had such a mild fall so far, even a few record breaking warmer temperatures so maybe that can also encourage them to restart. Please update us on how it handles the snow and cold! Thanks so much for your informative videos. I'm sure your Mom and Dad will love all of the gifts that you brought them!
The Ranunculus - Nature never ceases to amaze me!! I hope you'll keep us updated on it's activity. I don't have any Ranunculus - yet. But I will !! AND I live in the South, zone 8a, I wonder if they would bloom twice a year over here too? Or maybe your colder temps are stimulating it? Whichever, having it bloom in December is very 😎 cool!!!
Longwood Gardens (s-i-g-h.) To exist simply to add beauty to the world is to me a most worthy thing. And is that not what you do yourself at Northlawn, Danielle? Is it not so for all the flowers you cultivate, or the pollinators, butterflies and birds which visit? It makes for a happier world for all of us. Thank you!
Is that lovely blooming bulb some sort of squill or Scilla? I’m always sad I can’t grow it so I’ve never ordered it. It’s so otherworldly, almost looks like it belongs under the sea 🤩 Also I’m so jealous you can pop over to Longwood! It’s great that you make good use of your close proximity.
I left my ranuncs in a raised bed ( zone 6b) and they are definitely greening and bulking up . I’m going to cover them in a thick layer of leaves and frost cloth until late February or March- fingers crossed they make it though the winter. I did order new ones just in case . But I did get a rebloom on my anemone plant this fall! I was very surprised and it was one of my last blooms to pick right before Thanksgiving.
Loved this video! What are the red berry branches you got out of your yard? I love the look of those, they're so beautiful and airy! Watching you had also made me want to visit Longwood gardens, it looks so beautiful for Christmas... 😀🎄
I am having the same experience with a pot of ranunculus that i just never got around to pulling and storing. I kept meaning to store them in vermiculite but had other things to do. The pot was growing clover and wild lamium when i just decided to clean it up and put it away because of the overnight temps here in zone 7a. As i'm pulling out the weeds, I said holy cow those are ranunculus and they are fairly large though not blooming yet. But it is forecasted to be 70+ degrees this Saturday. So who knows. Maybe all that pampering and storing is really unnecessary.
I bought Amaryllis a white one and a red with a white center. I think they come from Europe where I lived Thank you for your tips.. Have a wonderful holidays. From Switzerland
Thank you for your constant garden inspiration. My only request when you video your arranging techniques, maybe go slower for those of us who enjoy watching you and may want to copy😉 love your videos. Keep’m coming please. Excited to see that bulb in full bloom. I have no idea what it is.🤷♀️
In a year where I harvested the last fresh tomatoes in Northeastern PA on Nov 8th, planted garlic on Thanksgiving and the last 500 tulip bulbs today, Dec. 8th, why not ranunculus in December? The garden season seems to have turned upside down.
You know the global worming maybe. because the dahlias I forgot in the garden last year came back in abril that's unusual 😯I'm in zone 7. (Virginia ) try next year with 10 Ranunculus if that works do it every year. 👌
Yes I have that bulb!! It bloomed for the first time this year. I have no idea how to care for it so please share how you treat it? I left it outside during the summer but I moved it into the house once it got cold.
My anemone are 6 inches tall and growing. I just planted them. We are having a unusually warm fall here in 8b Austin. Zinnias still blooming cosmos blooming. It’s gonna be 82 degrees tomorrow.
Also in 8b Austin, Texas, and seeds dropped from zinnias last summer germinated, sprouted, and are now blooming at the same time leaves are falling. Bizarre.
I'm in NE Texas and it's similar where I am. My zinnias, petunias, nasturtiums and a bunch of other stuff is still going. I actually got worried because I planted a bunch of ranunculus and they are about 3-4 inches tall. Hopefully they'll be ok.
The weather has really been very mild! My strange anomaly this fall was my drumstick alliums have came up! Super strange! It is so funny you mention ranunculus, my daughter and I are on week 2 of pre-sprouting a few of ours as an experiment (zone 5b) we got a soil heat cable, some hoops, and our cloth to go over the top. Going to see if we can winter over some of them.
So cool what happened to your ranunculus! I'm never grown them (yet) but is it close to your house or a wall? I had a rose in my cottage garden that kept blooming even after many brrr winter nights! I need to duplicate that baby!
The ranunculus rebooting doesn't surprise me. My anemones that I didn't get pulled up in the summer bloomed in the fall around September. 🇨🇦
Absolutely love the planter you made for me!!! Just beautiful! What a wonderful surprise!❤❤❤❤ Can't wait to see the Amaryllis bloom! Thank you so much!!

With this video I realized I've been pronouncing Arborvitae wrong all this years 😂
The weather is cool like spring, which is probably why they are flowering
I loved seeing the bird on your swag💙🎄 Beautiful planter for your Mom and thank you so much for showing us Longwood gardens❤️ I probably will never get to see it in person. You look so beautiful all bundled up🤗

What a beautiful sweet daughter you are. Oh those eyes!
Beautiful outdoor arrangement! I wish I lived close to a Terrain shop. Thanks for preview of Longwood gardens. Hopefully going 1 st week of January ❤️
Beautiful display! Looks like a fun day.
You look so pretty in your winter hat and coat Miss D ❤ Linda
Thank you for showing Longwood garden. It was my mothers favorite place to see I was lucky to see it twice went I visited her

Great mix of content in this video. Very festive.
Yes, I always think I have plenty of greens but then the pot eats it all up! Beautiful arrangement!
Love what you did with your mom's container 💚 And I love the advent tea idea, too!

I LOVE the layers planter. That is great. We have had ten inches of snow this week, so our gardens look quite soft and dreamy !!
Another inspiring video! I need to get out and gather pretty things. Your tour of Longwood was amazing!
Beautiful arrangement Danielle and I hope your Mum is delighted with her Amaryllis 💕
Weirdly, both my ranunculus and anemones sent up leaves this fall, but no flower stems. That layering is brilliant! I can see how to do it and absolutely love how it looks!
What a gorgeous store! I would spend so much money there. Love your hat too
Thank you so much for having another video of more wonderful Christmas designs and decorations. More smiles for me and fun for you 🎄
You are such a breath of fresh air today. Love the arrangement for mom and thank you for sharing your trip to Longwood!
Beautiful container!
Happy Holidays to you and your family! ☃️🎅🤶

Xmas planter looks great! Love the store, longwood, and that vibrant blue bird! Your hat is very cute!

So so excited to have found your channel. I'm pretty close to you... Just over the line in DE. Starting a cut flower garden this spring!
So beautiful at Longwood one day ill go😊
My mom, sister and I went to Longwood on the 7th, it was spectacular! Beautiful planter at your mom's!
Beautiful planter!! Would love to see an hour long tour of Longwood gardens 😍.
We had lots of spring bloomers rebloom this fall for some odd reason. I guess they got confused after the horrid spring we had.
The container you did for your mom is simple and fabulous!
You really have an eye for design. Love the porch oot.
I left anemones in my cold frame from last year. They are blooming now! Zone 8b in the PNW.
Such a great video! From the beautiful container you made for your mom to Terrain and then of course Longwood-perfect! Did you get some of the Eucalyptus Pods? I bought some from Briar Rose when I was up there. They are fabulous!
Longwood Gardens would make for a nice greenhouse. Love the pretty mystery plant.

Beautiful 🎄

Is that the scilla squill?
99403 here. my ranunculus bed is in full bloom here. So weird!
Could you please share the location and name of the nursery you visited in this video? Their selection is beautiful!
Hi! That was Terrain in Glen Mills PA. I believe they have a few locations.
Ranuculus experiment next year right?
So cool what happened to your ranunculus! I'm never grown them (yet) but is it close to your house or a wall? I had a rose in my cottage garden that kept blooming even after many brrr winter nights! I need to duplicate that baby!
Me Encanta 😍😍😍
Scilla madeirensis
Yes! Have you grow them Linda? Do you save the bulbs?
@@NorthlawnFlowerFarmandGardens I don't grow them but I am on a group that does. They are gorgeous. Do you have it in a greenhouse?
