Mike literally took one for the team here taking ridiculous offers to simply prove a point. That UE is still a horrible gig app that why on earth are they allowing customers to order from restaurants 15 20 or more miles away. I’m happy with my 2% acceptance rate. And I’ll continue to cherry pick
Same thing happened on Dasher Rewards, just awful shifts to get 40ish% high paying offers. It's not all bad but the math was pretty close bw just cherry picking vs Dasher Rewards. (Review: ua-cam.com/video/UlyH9Gkt6bo/v-deo.html&t)
Uber eats you absolutely HAVE to cherry pick, since the low no tippers WILL get you in trouble, plus, even with cherry picking, you still run the risk of tip bait, I personally haven’t been, but I’ve heard a few stories of people near the uh… unsafer area intentionally tip baiting just so they people even deliver to that said area. So I always always always look at - general location, pay, and where it’s from to see if it makes sense
Accepting a bunch of trash in hopes of getting a few better ones later. Shameful. Drivers who do this are ruining it for the rest of us who always have high standards. We should all stick together and give Uber the middle finger.
Agreed I shut off Uber once and for all...this will not be good for the consumer nor the drivers. We are sub contractors who are now being pushed into terrible orders with no pushing of TIPS or minimum mileage charges...no go!
@larryt510 going to go stand at my local grocery store with a sign that says if you are an ubereats driver or gig driver please talk to me before going inside the store. In my market there is still the boost pay in affect and I see mother fucks snatch up shop and pays that can go up to $30 to 50 and they are grabbing them for pennies
Sometimes I'll take a high-paying ($20+) for around 10-15 miles if I know I can do it in about 45 minutes. I'm guaranteed to be busy and at least I'll be at $20+/hour for that hour. If I get another offer while in the area I end up, it's a cherry on top. Yes, considered a little bit more high-milage than I'd like, but it's better than questioning if I'll get a better offer later.
Thanks for doing this video. Just shows to me and others that it isn’t worth accepting all orders to maintain a status to get “high paying” offers. Like I’ve said before, the badge is for drivers who doesn’t know how to do quick math and have them think that they’re getting a great deal on the orders. I have received high paying offers without a status and acceptance rate of 6% that constantly fluctuates daily. Drive smart people and please only accept offers that makes sense.
A lot of the delivery apps want the best of both worlds. That is giving you the contractor status so you can handle your own expenses and make you work as an employee at the same time. So keep accepting what is worth your time, gas money, and car expenses for every delivery and you will be okay.
DO NOT comply with this...once you increase it, you need KEEP IT! Which means they have you running for no tips to keep your status. They are using us and not PUSHING TIPS...so if you do this, you are going to continue to get crazy offers and then when they give you orders before you deliver your current one, you are not going to be one time in the future which means unhappy customers. This is "making us comply" without being an employee, this is going to end up in lawsuits. My last day with Uber was this week, I am no longer complying with this to use my gas...they will see a mass exodus! So be it...
Yeah I did platinum for a month. Stayed around 80% so Platinum has so much to talk about, but honestly I'm fine around 60%. I get better offers and thats fine for me. I just like dropping from 80% because you can get some great offers while my acceptance rate falls. Basically though. Not worth it. That said I don't get very many bad offers as long as I stick to 4-11pm shift.
Trust me I'm ONLY accepting this much to compare Preferred Delivery with Dasher Rewards for the content. Profitability wise these shifts are not great. If somehow the math makes sense once on PD I'll let you know.
That's what I heard from Platinum Dashers. I'm sure it's not intended to always give you stellar offers but Platinum etc should always get more high paying offers. Question is the math of keeping the AR up, accepting so-so offers and THEN getting some high paying offers is that worth it? Here's my Silver vs Gold DR video: ua-cam.com/video/UlyH9Gkt6bo/v-deo.html&t
The fact that you got a $7.05 for 7.5 miles, or whatever it was, as a GOLD exclusive offer, is incredibly worrisome. Less than a buck a mile is not considered good by any stretch of the imagination. I don't have this in my market yet. And just went from Silver to Gold on DoorDash today, so that'll be nice to see how things go tomorrow and onwards. :) Next month I'll strive for Platinum. Thanks for testing things out and sharing with us, Mike! PS. I don't so much look at the amount of time, but rather just pay vs distance. Their estimates are never perfect; and sometimes very far from.
I’ve noticed Uber adding dollar bills to the trips as I move in as it comes out of trader and out of trip radar and into an exclusive offer they will add a dollar to it. They will also take off a dollar to it if I’ve driven halfway there already half of the milethey’re just sitting there splitting the dollars once again on every transaction. Remember when it was like 350 per trip base pay now they’ll stack it on and keep the base pay for the second trip.😊
6:19 wait… does trip radar count toward your AR? I was under the impression it doesn’t count against you for not accepting it and in turn it does count positively toward your AR going up.
All the ones they gave me this morning were awful. I finally accepted one that was still upside down and then sent an add on that was also upside down. But like you I was trying to increase my acceptance rate. $16.04 for 10 miles $2 was hidden from the offer but the base was $1.86…on Thanksgiving!! I’m not delivering for the rest of the day.
while doing ue I found out that they pay from the distance from the restaurant to the costumers location, they don't pay more or less depending on your distance to the restaurant
I have uber pro gold in NY but i don’t see a preferred delivery feature with this. I also don’t have to worry about acceptance rate in my area for gold only cancelation rate of below 5% and satisfaction rate of 95% none of that 30% minimum.
I did manage to make it to gold, and once you do, at least in my market, you get good orders, high paying low mileage, and I was even able to get all the way up to diamond because of it. And now, I make about $20 an hour.
I have done accept everything no matter what days before and noticed that they just start stacking up the orders and it made plenty of money just picking up a few crap ones. I’ve done that for years. I just kind of played the Delta game while everybody else was picking cherries, and I went back behind and just added time on the trips and basically let the algorithm work
In 2016 I remember them saying that if you were offered a trip while driving and you were in the middle of another trip that it wouldn’t count against your acceptance rate, but who knows what they’ve done since then
RE: addons .. Since they have the exclusive tag, they still count AGAINST your AR. I don't see any of those Gold offers any better .. Either $/mi or $/hr basis .
I will not do trash offers period. That is on them. If you hit 30% AR here you are losing money with all of the crap offers of $5 for 30 miles. I do pretty good money with UE, but it has to be worth it to me.Decline, Decline, Decline!!!
Yes, exactly. If you decline it you fall out of gold. They are trading you nothing for a promise of their best offer and their best offer is never that good
Trying Uber eats today (Day 1) years ago I took a Uber ride in Chicago… so portions of my driver app had to be updated. Went on with chat about “zone” I swear they just are guessing answers all day… he said I can drive anywhere in Florida 😳😳 really? I’m so nervous about this. Ugh
I stopped doing Uber Eats because they would jam me with offers while I was trying to complete the first stacked order. And they weren’t even good orders.
We dont get this preferred stuff in Sacramento. I don't mind far orders for little money as Uber has to pay at least min wage for drive time later when they re-imberse.
simply can’t earn anything near acceptable I’m sorry if this sounds like a no-brainer question but I’m simply asking. Should I put DoorDash in my phone and do both at the same time thank you guys I’m in South Florida.
I’ve seen so many things on what affects the rating and what doesn’t.. does rising up i tiers with Uber eats even matter ? And if you decline one offer.. do you have to do 100 trips to get that one point back up ? I’ve only used Uber eats as a filler a few times here and there
You're doing a fantastic job! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Yep! And Dasher Rewards does the same thing. Should never include that Preferred tag with that low of a D:M. At least DD's tag is typically reserved for $2+/mile
At least doordash has EBT the problem is you can't ever work cause you have to schedule 😢 right now got Platinum and Uber Eats both at the same time and its a lot better still not great but better.
He told me a couple months back that he used the Volkswagen Passat (vehicle driven in his videos) for deliveries and Model 3 for everyday use outside of Gig work. Model Y is used between him and his woman. Not to spill the tea or anything Mike. I know you’re a busy person to respond to multiple comments. 🙂
At the end of the day, it’s data driven because it has to be an Uber has track of your clients and offers you the data only briefly while they play a casino noise pretty smart of them but because you don’t have your data and they do they’re in control, but knowing when your customers order will make you a lot of money, for example I know that tomorrow morningI see you will be ordering for that one Starbucks will be seven dollars. It used to be $10 but over the years, Uber has taken that from $10 to seven dollars payout but the lady says she’s paying the exact same thing on that automatic order.
Last night I had another 300 requests or so in about a 90 minute session all junk every single one of them jump another 0% AR I made about 80 bucks though just passively picking the ones that made sense took all day long and I got a headache from just saying no all day
Yeah, you have to take junk to get a good one sprinkled in with the junk. I will remain at two dollars a mile and I will not go outside of my Chinese food delivery zone strategy.
During the hurricanes recently here in Florida, (I work in Pinellas County mainly) and during Milton I worked the day of- so basically as the hurricane was coming in... and one by one the restaurants were closing so I would get these good offers and most of them ended up being canceled(OF COURSE!) and although they said it wouldn't affect my percentages (HA!)it did(😢) so my cancellation went up to 17 from 4 percent in one day and then my acceptance rate also that recently has gone from 46 percent which now looking back is crazy but I think I'm at like 25% right now. I did call about that percentage rate from the hurricanes and I think they did correct some of it but I did go back down to 4% slowly but surely but these numbers switch so quickly even though I'm on all kinds of platforms working Uber Eats is what I like to work on the most butt I'm definitely more picky these days than I was definitely from when I started and I've only been doing it since July but I have over a thousand deliveries already.
Who is on any tier level on DD or Uber eats. Get higher paying offers. Do you actually see the difference? I can only see it really working on high peak time like 5 to 8
I am Diamond Status on Uber Eats. I get high paying offers only between 6pm-9pm. It's only around the beaches and upscale neighborhoods. I live in Southern California.
I'm on DD silver about 55% and notice no difference than when I was above 70%. Still some trash orders and still some high paying. Seems like just being at the right or wrong place at the right or wrong time is all that matters
i couldn't stand doing Uber Eats in the city with all the lights and traffic and no parking . i accept 10 mile orders in my area all the time but it takes 15 minutes to drive the 10 miles and i drive an EV that costs $5 for 200 miles so gas money is not a concern so i can just focus on how much i make per hour . my AR is at 87% and cancel at 0 % diamond level. i generally just take what they give me and while some hours are better than others by the end of the night i'm always over $20 per hour with some days at $30 per hour. Really enjoyed watching you do some Uber Eats though as i haven't done DD since 2021and i feel like i enjoy doing Uber Eats a lot more without the scheduling and other games that doordash likes to play.
Every single offer you received in this video was trash to me. I wouldn't have taken a single one. Before gold or after gold. Junk. Glad we don't have crazy stuff like that here in my area of California.
What part of California you in. I am in Southern California. I see trash orders like this all the time. I drive mainly in Culver City, Playa Vista, Marina Del Rey, Century City, Santa Monica, Malibu, Palos Verdes, etc. I see horrible orders like this on a constant basis.
Agreed! I drive LA area though, & most of the offers I receive are similar! Especially the last 3 days. Couldn't accept anything...why breakeven or be way below min wage for GROSS PAY. Using your car as an ATM is a no win situation.
@MBu-tf5uk the only time I seen good orders was on October 31 around the Hollywood and West Hollywood area. I made $500 in 10 hours. I left after it got slow.
I got one for 6 dollars and change to central Brazil. The country. From Nevada. 1950 miles. Had to decline because I don't have a passport. Also took a screenshot.
I feel like my acceptance rate goes down no matter what if i reject an order. But if I accept one it's like it doesn't go up. I just feel like it should go up more. Like if you accept 3 orders in a row, make it go up. I got an order the other day. Good pay accepted it. Then got an add on, good pay so accepted that. I confirmed the first order. Then as I was about to leave for second pick up, i got another order. For a restaurant near the one i was at . It was okay pay so accepted it. That place said 10 minute wait. I waited 6 minutes. I thought MAYBE thry would be faster. Nope..i had to cancel it. I just left. I didn't want the second person's food getting cold sitting there at this other restaurant second pick up originally. Oh well. Its never happened to me. I never get 3 orders. Just 2.
Their stat calculations are very, not good. We’ll see what happens after December 1 but the math is just so off on most all of it and my acceptance rate went out pretty quick.
.. they slipped in a second order without telling me miles and not giving me additional pay .. so I cancelled the second order and dropped off the first at 5 miles , was suppose to be 7 bucks , they paid me 2.65 ! You know I got on top of them .. demanding my full 7 bucks ,! Wtf are they kidding ,! So they gave additional 2 bucks for my effort they tell me .. smh .. 🤔🚗
My guess is they had to buy back a bunch of orders they could not fulfill and now they’re trying to fulfill them but at the end of the day, I don’t think that their preferred delivery is going to be worth it unless people start tipping as much as they spend on the food in a tip as wellUber has consumed as profit, the mechanical part of a cab company and held their hand out for the other two people to pay them as well disrupting not innovating.
its non sense been gold and still getting 7dlls offers plus them orders are 7+ miles. its WIN WIN for uber not for drivers. there was no difference from been green to gold
Especially when you trying to take a picture of the drop off at the leave at door. Usually, I stop the requests from coming in when I arrive at customers house
Uber is worthless in my area and is treated as a secondary no matter what. I got an order for 70 miles for 12.00 lol who are they kidding? Also had them send me an order for 38.00 for 10 miles at Walmart last week. Went to do the order only to find out the order was picked up the day before. They offer 3 dollars after arguing with support to even get that. That took me 30 minutes to drive and wait to find out the order was picked up already after calling Walmart. This company is a clear joke and will waste your time.
Your not making any money because your not accepting any offers...You will be dropped down to green. The higher the color level the more bigger delivering offer payouts will be thrown out to you...
I HAVE 2 UE ACCOUNTS....I WILL STEAL AN ORDER ON MY 1ST ACCOUNT...I THEN WAIT 30 MINUTES FOR OTHER DRIVERS TO ACCEPT AND CANCEL THE SAME ORDER....THEN I TURN ON MY 2ND PHONE/UE ACCOUNT AND ACCEPT THE SAME ORDER FOR $47...LEARN THE GAME LOSERS!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@RaptureReady-Saint 💯 What Uber should be doing is paying fair mileage pay instead of taking advantage of desperate and unintelligent drivers.
Don't waste your time , all these illegal or legal immigrants will take all the trash and then get all the good orders same as in doordash 😂
I agree but in his case kudos to him cuz somebody had to test it out to make sure it was exactly what we thought it was!

4:13 hitting pedestrians while delivering is frowned upon. keep going.....FAST!!!
Welcome to Pittsburgh roads, we fix the potholes and they're back in 60 days. Some back roads are untouched
In my area food delivery usually isn't worth it. New drivers, Illegals and fools are the people bringing the orders.
Any better niches in your market?
Not if you consider earnings to miles. I just accept less.
Really enjoyed watching you do some Uber Eats though as i haven't done DD since 2021and i feel like i enjoy doing Uber Eats a lot more without the scheduling and other games that doordash likes to play.
must be a rare gem of an area that has the density of orders for that wage with no traffic or lights :)
@@bornfree2218 Yup, Breckenridge Colorado
Mine says I need 85% to get gold
Everything just continues to get worse for drivers. What a depressing occupation!
Hey Mike, Can I DD/UE with a DUI?
Doordash maybe. Uber very unlikely
How do you have a license with a DUI? odds are Uber will NOT accept you with any driving related offenses because of their rideshare
@@mysticvirgo9318 Yes Uber has a tougher background check
Please, does anyone just puke to an offer like 6.9 miles for $6.40?
I got one from DD so bad I had to screenshot it for posterity before I hit decline - $2.75 for 14.2 miles.
I got one for 6 dollars and change to central Brazil. The country. From Nevada. 1950 miles.
Had to decline because I don't have a passport.
Also took a screenshot.
@ericwolfe8119 😱🤔😃😁😂😝
I’m getting a check my account every two or three trips
.. they slipped in a second order without telling me miles and not giving me additional pay .. so I cancelled the second order and dropped off the first at 5 miles , was suppose to be 7 bucks , they paid me 2.65 !
Thats stressful lmao. Thank God I have amazon flex
Ya uber getting bad at sending orders when you doing a order
1 percent acceptance rate 😅
I love UE more than I love my mother!
This dude is an industry plant people and he probably works for Uber
LOL
Of course that's UberEATS way of making you feel special
You must have Face ID turned on
Declined.
Mike- I think door dash has better offers. Uber has really declined in offers for me. Very reversed offers!!! Just insulting.
Your not making any money because your not accepting any offers...You will be dropped down to green. The higher the color level the more bigger delivering offer payouts will be thrown out to you...
Too much garbage from Uber.
UBER SUCKS AS
Uber is exactly great if you have the ability to play their mindsets back at them.
