My acceptance rate went up to 7% because they gave me a few orders that were decent. I think everybody else gave up it was. Hundreds per hour anyhow I’m still doing as I always have. As I always have the same clients, I’ve had for the last four years. Keep calling me back because I stay in the 5 mile radius.
I'm in an area that has this program and once you're under 30%, it's BRUTAL. I'm hovering around 30%, but it was much better and had more orders before the program was in place. I'm starting to pivot my side hustle away from delivery little by little because this is squeezing out folks who are trying to do this efficiently.
Damn how do some of you get so low? I'm at 83% with 300 plus deliveries. I felt I was low for not taking everything 😅 I guess I'm lucky to live in a good market
Are they not penalizing your market for canceling orders? In my market no matter the reason, our cancellation rating increases so many of our drivers are at risk of losing their accounts because we have a lot of stolen orders, especially at night. Plus, even if the customer cancels while we’re headed to the store it increases our cancelation rating.
I'm in SA too. I've done DD for 6 yrs. Tips are crap. Added UE last week. I'm trying to do $1.50/mile. Tips have been a bit better. I like that it's easier for Cust to add $ after deliv. I don't like larger area. Way too many long distance runs.
I have been getting a ton of Walmart orders and they are usually pretty good here. They send some that are garbage, but I have had a lot that was just one or 2 drops , 4-5 miles and pay of 25-30 dollars. I went to a pickup the other day that looked like it would take forever because of how many drivers were there and still got out in 20 minutes with a 10 minute drive to deliver. The package thing does not mean anything. It may be 1 item or a carload of groceries.
I made the mistake twice of pre-ordering stuff from Walmart. I will never do it again. I could have gone to the shelf myself and picked up the thing in a fraction of the time
I realized the other day that you also need a CR of 8% or less which doesn’t go down but every 100 orders. Mine is at 15 so even if I got my AR to 30 I still wouldn’t be gold. This is awful
I dash, uber, cart, hub, and spark in Pittsburgh as well. I haven't had much luck with the Wesr Mifflin wally world either. Bethel Park, Carnegie, and Robinson all seem to work out better for me. Could be just the super busy time of the year now like you said.
I live in Atlanta where the program is available at, as someone who has a 95% satisfaction rate and the 70% acceptance rate. LET ME TELL YOU those couple of days were bliss good preferred order after good preferred order, almost like they wanted to showcase its potential. Then after those first Initial days past it felt like Uber cranked everything down DRASTICALLY. "Preferred order" started to feel like regular or bad orders with a preferred sticker slapped on it. And influx of preferred orders decreased substantially, and this is coming from a platinum Uber eats driver so i can only imagine how lower tier accounts are feeling.
I’ve been doing this since they started the app , they never once say anything about the return trip , if you deliver 10 miles away you have to return (most likely to the place of origin because of surrounding restaurants) that equates to roughly 20 miles in a delivery round trip so these calculations are not taking into account your return time or gas . Something I always calculate but don’t ever feel compensation for at all
I don't mind waiting at walmart if and only if the order is really high paying. Also its important to let an associate know as soon as you can because sometimes Uber does not show up on their devices. From my understanding Uber orders for Walmart are rejected spark orders and Uber tends to pay a lot more than the tips. For example i once had a $95 3 stop drop that i was pilled up front for since it was big and the order was sitting there for some time i was told. Uber paid all $95 no tips
My Walmart has told me before that a lot of times with Uber, it doesn't go through to let them know you are there on their end. You have to let one of the workers know to check you in. I found that out when I had one where they were super busy and I was waiting for 30 minutes before someone came over and checked with me but it still showed on their end that I was on my way. But the Uber Walmart pickups are just like Spark- it's typically a grocery order.
Ever since the AR change took place UE has paid me more than I’ve received in tips and it used to be the other way around. This is gonna backfire on them and cause them to have to pay drivers more.
Mike, what do you think about the opt-in to deliver Christmas trees? In my marketplace we have been offered to deliver Christmas trees. 4-7 feet. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and have a tarpe or blanket to put it on. Thoughts?
I had to stop delivery..i was making 40 a day..maybe 200 a week.. Got a job and im thankful making 21 hr 6days aweek..while my car takes 6mi a day to and from work
The problem with those long ones is they can pull you out of a hot period where you could make more, while you're chasing the 22. I like to ignore those long ones during a rush time and more likely to accept them during a down time. I do think chasing status on Uber Eats is not worth it. At least in my region. I see a lot more activity with Door Dash in my region.
I'm in the LA area and I see those Walmart orders in the morning all the time... That makes me not wanting to take those orders ever. Sometimes I also see where the order has 3 or 4 stops for like $6.00... not worth it at all.
I don’t even get them? There was a lady I was talking to that had one for $150, she just started gig driving. In 4 years Ubers never sent me that. These companies are so shady
I really think uber should be above $2.5 per mile here is Brisbane Australia you have to really keep your eyes on acceptance. What we found is that you get a $28 dollar job they show two pick ups but as you pick up the 2nd pick up they sneak in the third job it's not worth this on gold status
thx for the insight on the new uber program Mike! on another topic, you are still not factoring your gas expense, less tax deduction of approximately 25 %, to get to what your real earnings are...
walmart is what messed up my cancelation rate dropped me down to 60%, The first walmart was awesome less then 10 minutes. The 2nd and 3rd time it send me to different walmart, when i got there there was like 60+ cars no parking spots, people parked all over the place ( in the Delivery area not where customers park) couldnt even park to take the order. 2nd time i was there for almost an hour and said screw it.
I deliver doordash full time in my small town my acceptance rate stays in the high 90s the only time i decline is if its really busy and i get bad offers i take about every one though and i dont do too bad usually make 150 a day after gas if i put a good day in im still kinda new at dashing but i love it and i dont mind taking some college kids food across town for 4 bucks when id be sitting there not making anything for that 10 minutes but like i said im in a pretty small town so alot of small orders are real close and if you knock down a bunch they add up but still love those orders where you make 20 bucks for a 5 minute delivery cant get enough of those
15 minutes is my max. Also near the holidays I refuse all walmart orders because of the time length except early like 7 am pickups otherwise forget about it
I am platinum on Uber Eats and my acceptance rate is currently 1%. I get good orders once in awhile. Today I got a $35 one drop order 4 miles away from Walmart on Uber Eats.
I had 3 orders at walmart get canceled because walmarts system was not working.... Also the uber app is not checking me in at walmart to pickuup the orders.
I only do UE a few hours while my kiddo is in school. I like low mileage around my city and decent pay. Like, 3 miles for $7.45 or 5 miles for $8.29. I got one today $15.20 for 6.9 miles took me right towards my home to end my day. If they want to kick me off for not taking low pay and high mileage then so be it. But until then I’m going to stand my ground and do my own thing.
Damn i guess im super lucky i thought my 83% acceptance rate was low. I just started a couple weeks ago, already at 300 plus deliveries and diamond. Im also in LA county, maybe thats why i get pretty good orders. I only dont accept when its 20+ miles which has only been offered to me about 5 times. I typically make 350-400 in 12 active hours.

I'm laughing because I guessed how long your wait was at walmart. It's always that long. I have been to that walmart. I have waited over an hour because I didn't want my cancelation rate to go up. That will cause you to lose your gold status. I am platinum and I have taken orders from wing stop in East Liberty to Irwin. Yes, the trips get long. The problem is that the orders that bring you back home are lower paying.
I will make a prediction of the gold status next time! You will a congratulations for reaching Gold status and get 2 great offers then it will be 2 so so orders and th rest not so good! You will have to pick up the orders that we all left for the gold drivers here in Pittsburgh for you as we are all bailing at the thought of working for nothing! 😝 seriously those that are new drivers will get the good stuff to keep them for a minute then they will start to fall into the abyss of going under 30% like we all did before we left. Whenever I do, Uber eats pick ups for the Walmarts near me they have to pay me like $60 for me to feel like it’s worth the wait there are times I’ve waited over an hour and a half for an order and you still have to drive still 😂😂
We all have to set our limits. I just assume I’ll wait 20 minutes at Walmart. I don’t go directly there. Maybe use that time as a bathroom break. Park but don’t check in until you’ve come back to the car.

Don't listen to that bologna just start declining the cheap runs you can have a 0% acceptance rating and still work your job they cannot hire delivery drivers nobody wants to work for them
How are any of these "reward" programs helping us to make money? They are scams and forcing some naive drivers to take a LOT of the stupid offers along with some that are marginally good and a few more that seem, you know, pretty good. No thanks.
I think we overvalue dollars per mile a bit. I think it's more important for the full timers than it is for the casual hour or two a couple days a week gig worker.
I took one of those walmart orders. Same exact issue. Gave up after like 20 minutes. Every spot full. And people double parking too. And in that 20 minutes time, one guy came out, the same guy, twice with one order each time. Yeah, no joke.
@@xbackwitit2899 Uh I literally had the order recently, last Friday of November. Are you some Walmart fanboy or something? Long waits for Walmart orders is a common issues. Took the order cuz it was 44 bucks. It must have been dropped a lot for excessive wait time.

No way in hell am I accepting a bunch of trash orders on the POSSIBILITY that "high paying" order MIGHT come through.
Same here. I see a ton of orders that are literally $5 for 30 miles. At that point you are paying to drive for Uber.
Yup lol unless I see proof of payout of 500+ a day from preferred I’m not budging.

And they never tell ya if it's groceries or otherwise
This new Uber Eats update SUCKS!!! so tired of all of us drivers getting screwed

And get real who's driving 27 miles for anything nobody's driving 27 Mi for $11 the insurance the cost of living nothing it's a joke
Carrot on a stick, you just get the stick
I'm at 16%
10 dollars for 2.5 is high pay
You waited 47 minutes?! 😂
That 1st order was awful. I def wouldn't have taken it
How are any of these "reward" programs helping us to make money? They are scams and forcing some naive drivers to take a LOT of the stupid offers along with some that are marginally good and a few more that seem, you know, pretty good. No thanks.
I think we overvalue dollars per mile a bit. I think it's more important for the full timers than it is for the casual hour or two a couple days a week gig worker.
Oh, here $3
From the thumbnail.. 24.00/13 miles... maybe...(It's actually 15 miles) .... oh, 2 drops? ..hell no. pass.
Take a nap with Walmart 😂
I took one of those walmart orders. Same exact issue. Gave up after like 20 minutes. Every spot full. And people double parking too. And in that 20 minutes time, one guy came out, the same guy, twice with one order each time. Yeah, no joke.
Lies
how would you know?
@@nala3038 obviously fake
@@xbackwitit2899 Uh I literally had the order recently, last Friday of November. Are you some Walmart fanboy or something? Long waits for Walmart orders is a common issues. Took the order cuz it was 44 bucks. It must have been dropped a lot for excessive wait time.
