Now I wonder if Perkins was team captain if he would choose Durant for his team instead of Steph? Who would you choose for your team if you were team captain Steph or Durant?

If you're looking at basketball from a traditional standpoint, then players and coaches would definitely pick KD based on all the points you mentioned. I think that's how they would view it, including Stephen A. Steph and his team has revolutionized the game, they've proven to be way more successful than Durant's team, despite those differences you listed. So I'm going with Steph.

Teams didn’t guard KD how they guarded curry when they played together. As great as KD is, teams still devoted more energy to curry than they did KD. It’s simple, curry is MORE dangerous. That’s why KD had better numbers. If teams guarded KD how they guarded curry, their numbers would’ve flip flopped.

This is coming from a Cavs fan. Even I don’t like the warriors team. Even I hate that the fact they beat us 3 times. But in my mind. Steph is always been better and greater than KD. Greatest player vs Best player are 2 different discussions. Greatness requires your individual brilliance to translate to team success, because it's a team game. Best player is more of a 1 on 1 discussion. KD is the better individual player, but Curry is the greater player.

I gotta say i am pretty pleased to see Steph getting the love he deserves this year. I scrolled through all the comments and 85% are in favor of Curry which is a surprise to me. I know KD has the nod in most statistical categories to curry, but I have curry over KD and the reason is simple. Curry is the more dangerous player. Curry can go 2-15 and you still must devote multiple pairs of eyes to his movement for the entire shot clock. One slip up opens Pandora’s box. He was awful against Memphis, Dallas, and even though his numbers looked good he wasn't impactful in that Miami series.
