This guitar is set up improperly. No excuses. I never tell our guys when a guitar is a review guitar and such is the case with this unit. There is a reason for that. Humans make mistakes and our people are not above that. This is a very rare instance because we have what is supposed to be a fail safe process when it comes to the complete order, set up, packing and shipping process within our company. With this process one of those steps was skipped and unfortunately this is what happens. That being said , what happens after a situation like this is where Tease Guitars differs from most other companies. Although Karol is more than qualified fix this guitar it would not be the next right thing for us to do . The next right thing is for us to retrieve the guitar , make the necessary adjustments and re ship this unit back out to him. That is what we are going to do and that's what we would do with any customer. Thank you for your honest review and we look forward to getting this one back. Torsten ( Tease Guitar Owner)
I have the prior version of this guitar and have the new one on preorder. Mine came to me set up in absolutely perfect condition. Aside from a guitar I had pleked and my AmPro II Tele, my Tease was the best set up guitar I’ve ever received. I’m wondering if the cold December weather caused the fret sprout. I’m surprised they sent this guitar to a UA-camr with fret sprout, and I will be shocked if they don’t make it right.
They're having me send this back (at their cost) for a setup. Fret sprout wouldn't (or shouldn't) happen in the few days of shipping. In any case, happy to hear yours was perfect! I've heard only good things about the customer service
I have several Tease guitars and all of them have been incredibly impressive, straight out of the box. Sorry you received an anomaly, but they'll for sure make it right. This looks like one of the test runs, so I bet the factory rushed it, which isn't ideal. I look forward to seeing the full video when you finish that up, including hearing how it is with the sprout addressed. I do like that their frets reach the edge of the fingerboard. Many companies' fretwork falls short, which makes it easy to fret the string off the side of the board. I'm a sloppy player, so I'm prone to doing this. Thanks for sharing. You've got yourself a beautiful guitar there!
Thanks for sharing your experience. I think the issue isn't the factory, but the fact that the guitar wasn't setup once it reached our shores. But they are taking care of it and I've heard nothing but good things about the guitars and the customer service 🤘
The ball end frets, I've seen many of them being pressed in all out of alignment on many Chinese brands. Scar my guitars saw one on a Leo jamez that was terrible. I guess who ever is manufacturing these don't seem to care about it. When they end up sticking out like that, well that's not good quality control. I support tease though, rather than a Chinese brand, because tease will always have great customer support. I bought a tease, and looking forward to buying more. I hope tease can get better QC from the factory though.
Yeah, seems the customer service is on the ball. Too bad this one slipped through the inspection and setup, but I'm sending this one back, they'll give it a setup, and I'll have a full review of the guitar then.
Dang you got one of these.... Was going to try to be the first to review, going to be giving away a Green Envy away. But Needed to purchase in the New Year New Tax Season🤣
I've been emailing back and forth with them and I requested they respond on this video so I could pin the comment. 🤷 In any case, I'm sending the guitar back to them (at their cost) so they can give it a setup and then they're sending it back to me so I can give it a proper review. They also said if this ever happend to a customer's guitar they'd do the same or issue a full refund.
I assume it suppose to be set up from the factory, but I guess they overlooked the frets due to not being in the pro setup, or assume its ball end frets and won't need a frets filed. Let's hope they get that sorted out before the production models come out.
@@oneanother1 No, they say they set them up after they get to the US from the Chinese factory, before shipping out to customers. Which is why this was a little preplexing

May be the cold and shrinkage in regards to the fret ends. More likely with maple.
Definitely could be, but that wouldn't (or shouldn't) happen during the few days of shipping.

Yeah, 1 of 6 currently in the US, but lots more are on their way. :)
@Searchingfortone how are you Brother
Thats a cool Tele
yup! 🤘
No shredding! I am disappointed in the way you tricked us. Lol, great review and, importantly, honest.
Haha, there was no shredding! Just a few somewhat poorly played tasty licks 🧐
The "pro" who did the setup on this one needs to go back to luthier school.
