    I see some advantages to the improvements in V11 but dealing with changes (especially those I did not ask for) can be sort of a shock when you get older. I think I read somewhere that Tesla is going to look at some of the V11 changes since customers have noticed that some features now require an extra button push. I’m mostly used to V11 now and probably would not necessarily want to go back, but on the other hand, I really don’t want any new changes of this magnitude in the near future either.
    One small correction (you know I’m an engineer and am powerless to stop myself), the horizontal bar at the top of the display shows power not energy. Power (kW) is the derivative of energy (kWh). There. I’m all better now.
    Good video!

    • @Sibs
      @Sibs  2 роки тому

      Ahh! Good catch!
      Definitely think some changes are necessary, especially for things that need to be one tap away. Dashcam is one specifically I think needs added back to the top status bar

    Thanks Alex, great channel you have here, I checkin often. Did I miss the 'Recent Apps' rundown? I thought there is a spot on the bottom bar to the right of the apps section where a couple recently used apps appear. That effectively adds more app icons. I assume it doesn't duplicate any you've already put in your regular app tray.

    • @Sibs
      @Sibs  2 роки тому

      Yes, I did miss that going through everything. The first 4 apps I have on my bottom bar are pretty much the only ones I use, so I completely missed going over recent apps since it's usually blank for me. To the right of that line are the two most recent apps you've used if they aren't in that first four. Sorry for the oversight!

    Hi Alex, am really enjoying your videos on your tesla, i do however have a question have you done a video or if not could you please explain about driver profiles, for example when you park how does it know to take the steering wheel close to the dashboard and the seat all the way back, do you have to select a profile for this or can you set this to do once you park

    • @Sibs
      @Sibs  2 роки тому

      Hey, thanks! You can actually link driver profiles to keys, so the car knows to adjust those things when it recognizes your key. I cover it in this video: ua-cam.com/video/e-TxvDqtZS4/v-deo.html

    After waiting seven months (we turned down the first VIN in late December as we were out of town) our Model 3 RWD arrived two days ago (March 18, 2022). Tesla honored the price from when we ordered our car in August 2021 ($39,990+$1,000 for the blue paint) and it has the new LFP battery. I don't know how to check to see if it has the new Ryzen chip or Lithium-Ion 12 volt. No fit and trim issues and a really nice home delivery experience where the Tesla rep set up our phones, profiles, and walked us through the basics. We are having an issue with the primary phone being recognised over the secondary phone when both phones are in the car but that's the only issue so far. Thank you Alex for your videos, especially this one, which really helped us understand our new car. You should have another 1,000 super charger miles in your loot box (under Gary E). Please keep the videos coming!

    • @Sibs
      @Sibs  2 роки тому +1

      Happy to help, and glad you're liking it!! I believe you can find the chip type under the "software">"additional vehicle information" around the 43:00 mark. To check if you have the Lithium ion battery, you'll likely have to take the frunk piece off and look for the label on the battery. I don't believe it communicates any info to the car besides voltage level.

    • @brianboru1975
      @brianboru1975 2 роки тому +1

    Having worked in product development for 4+ years for tech companies - v11 is the worst update I’ve seen so far. Hiding away key functionalities like switching driver profile, recoding dashcam, tire pressure, etc into sub menu while adding apps like radio/Bluetooth etc to main screen is a major step back and doesn’t really feel like designer/UX research actually drives this car before releasing it.
