This was outstanding! Just got a 2021 M3. When I picked it up, it took me and my son 10 minutes to figure out how to turn on the AC and adjust mirrors, LOL. Your video lays things out quite well.
Thanks for this video because no one tells you anything about your Tesla and some of us don’t like reading volumes of owner manual!!! I have had my mod 3 since 2019 and I learned more watching your video than I ever have!!!
Thanks you so much for all the detailed and clear information. I actually pickup my TM3 five days ago from the Tesla shop by Easton Mall😊 The drive back to Cincinnati was pretty nice, but I wish I had known how to use some of these functions🥴 Great job! 👏🏼
I just took delivery of a Model 3 LR and have been searching and searching and searching UA-cam for some videos to help me learn how to take full advantage of my car. You have certainly provided an excellent, in-depth overview!!! This is awesome, well done - thanks!
Hey Ho! VERY USEFUL GUIDE! This writer is doing a demo drive soon and NEEDS this information to use a Tesla. The Tesla IS NOT anywhere near the same EV as my Niro BEV
i just got my model y performance and everytime i click on the battery, it doesn't show that screen like yours. only shows a slider. any idea on how to have the view instead of just the slider?
I was just rewatching your first screen walkthrough hoping you’d make an updated one! I think you’re the only UA-camr who make one this in depth. Thanks!

Buying a 2022 Model 3 tomorrow, so this was really nice to watch before then! I like to know what my car can do and all of its options. The glove box setting being hidden in the options is kinda crazy to me lol. I can imagine if no one told me about that, and I was to get pulled over, it be an awkward exchange between me and the officer lol.
Awesomesauce video Alex! I have learned more about the Model 3 from you than anyone else. Even though I don't have any EV. I like being informed. Thank you.
I just purchased my first EV, a Tesla Model 3 RW. This is the best information I have found on learning about Tesla and its capabilities and how I can enjoy my cars driving experience. A must view for any new Tesla owner. Thank you, great job :>}
Tesla has some great deals right now - use my referral link to purchase a Tesla product or schedule a Demo Drive and get up to $500 off and other exclusive benefits. ts.la/alex23895
"Keeping it on light mode because it's easier to see for this tutorial" "Nope, there's only one mode you should ever see anything, on phone, computer and car: dark mode" :D
The first thing every new Tesla owner tries to do is minimize the stupid graphics that take up 1/3 of the screen!!! But then you realize it’s fixed!! What were they thinking? When I’m using navigation I want the map to be the whole screen. I don’t need to see that there is a car in the lane next to me because I can see it with my own eyes!! This is just one of many infuriating things about the Tesla that show no planning or thought
Hey all! On the mew Model 3 Highland where in the Service menu you can adjust the whipers to service position? It doesn’t show me this option at all! Can someone help me?
Alex Sibila, thank you for making such a good one hour demo and tutorial of the operating system. I tested a Model S yesterday and came away confused, and this has cleared up most of it. In my humble opinion, the Tesla operating system is on the one hand brilliant and clever, and on the other hand unnecessary and dangerous. On my traditional car, a Honda, I can do anything without shifting my gaze from the road ahead, and I think I would not trust myself to operate a touch screen while in control of the car. Especially since on phones and tablets, my fingers don't always get sensed. I'm leaving that money in my pocket until another electric car can offer me a better experience with ye olde buttons, switches and levers.
This is an awesome video on how to use the Display. I wrote down some questions to ask Tesla when I go into do my test drive this coming week. Planning on getting the Model Y Long Range vehicle in the very near future. So much these Tesla vehicles can do now compared to my 21 year old Monte Carlo. LOL. Still learning as I can before I get my delivery of the new car. Still too much to absorb until I actually start to use the Model Y. Thanks again. Take care.
Awesome video! Really helpful when I take delivery of my MY! I have a question regarding the phone bluetooth range to open and close the car. What would be the approximate distance your phone has to be away from the car to unlock or lock it?
I'd like to know more about the USB music player, I can't find this kind of information: 1) is there any internal memory that one can use to copy personal audio files? 2) does the App browse the file tree properly? I mean... I have my files organized as Music/Author/Album name/Song... can I select an Author and automatically play everything under that directory? Many cars just let you select single songs and append any other files in the same folder, which isn't efficient if you like to play the whole author discography. Also, some cars don't allow browsing through files, they create a catalog (with wrong authors, wrong albums) and have a song limit. This is very important to me, because it's the way I like to listen to music. I don't care about streamers or radio, never use them.
Ive had a Mach-E for 55,000, it was an awesome vehicle... nowhere near a Tesla though. I take delivery of my first Tesla this morning! (Model 3 Performance)... thanks for the introduction friend!
Thank you! This was a great tutorial video because I’m trying to make a notes thing to refer to because we’re renting a Model 3 when we go to San Diego later this month!
I'm picking up my new 2024 Dual Motor Long Range Model Y today. I definitely will be referring to your guide as I'm learning this new software. Very well done and extensive. Thank you! ❤
When Elon Musk creates the best Tesla it will have the top intelligence for safety . It will have a best diesel engine not any type of batteries . Diesel is the future oil can never run out
thanks for the high quality demo and camera UI walk through. i am using some screenshots from your video to make an UI prototype for my research paper about regional renewable grid for charging stations, and will definitely cite your video in the reference section.
Excellent video, one of the best! Thank you, however, you said "kinda" 79 times!! And, you say it when it doesn't apply, like "When you're KINDA in a driver profile." Or, " When I'm KINDA in dark mode." Quite Distracting.
To tesla owners: How do you plan out a longer trip (requiring supercharging stops) in which the destination does NOT have a charger. In my case, I would need to be driving 5 hours 280 miles) to my parents... sit for 2-3 days, then drive back. There are superchargers on the way, but the closest of ANY charger is 80 miles from my parents house. I know I can plan things myself, but are there settings for the navigation to 'arrive with x% battery' or similar? I know I can charge on 110v, but this is northern MN and between winter temperatures (sometimes as cold as 40-60 below zero), parked outside (no garage, large field), etc, I don't think I can depend on getting 80 miles of range in
Basically I am looking for easy mode... I can plan myself to have 200 miles range before leaving that charger on the way to their house so I don't have to worry...
Very good video. You may want to change the typo in your video title from Wak to Walk. Looking forward to checking previous content and anticipate new videos. I purchased a 2023 model 3 long range (first ev) 2 weeks ago. Love the vehicle!
Brilliant walkthrough, thank you! On Navigation how to change street view instead of sky view like on google map navigation? On google map navigation it is very clear presentation which street to turn
Hi Alex … do you still recommend enhanced auto pilot and think it’s worth it ? Also any idea when they will update to accommodate non uss teslas ? It’s horrible not having those uss . Thanks
Basic autopilot gets probably 80% of the job done for highway driving. If you want auto lane change, smart park, summon, etc, then I recommend EAP if the upfront cost isn't an issue. I don't recommend FSD at all unless you really want to be a beta tester. No idea about the USS update, I think it's dumb they got rid of them!
the tech on this car is awesome even tho its mostly like gimmicks but its pretty cool even the road and shows the cars on it live and even the traffic light colour 😂
Well done. I'm getting my Model Y tomorrow and found this very helpful. Thanks. FYI Joe Mode I believe primarily is aimed at quieting the chimes for the back seat (sleeping babies, etc).
Tesla is currently offering 6 months of Free Supercharging and 3 months of Full Self-Driving Capability with my referral code! ts.la/alex23895

Hi, Can I get more on what office related apps or tools that are inbuilt in Tesla through the 'connect' feature? One that works on car e-sim.
How stupid that you have to take your eyes off the road to operate the touchscreen. That's why I won't buy a Tesla.

When you change a setting, does it saves it into "Easy Entry" since it's the current profile or does it knows to save it into your personal profile?
Anyone know why I show a bar with battery charge instead of the cool car looking icon? This when I’m in charging settings

How do you adjust or operate the vehicle controls without taking your eyes off the road?
no bio hazard mode anymore, to engage the HEPA filter?
What charging station r u in? This is not Tesla Supercharger?
Awesome video! Really helpful when I take delivery of my MY! I have a question regarding the phone bluetooth range to open and close the car. What would be the approximate distance your phone has to be away from the car to unlock or lock it?
You can unlock from anywhere in the world if you have Internet connection, it doesn't always need Bluetooth.
Is there a dark mode available? The contrast with grey text on light background is awful
Yes, you can force dark mode in the settings. I've actually switched to dark mode for all hours of the day instead of just at night.
I wonder how much of this is relevant in the UK version?
