  • In today's video, I go over the process of dyno tuning a 2017 GMC Sierra Denali that also has a 2.9L Whipple with a Nick Williams 103mm throttle body and a 5" MAF. This video has some extremely valuable torque model tips! Channel members get this video days before it goes public.

    2 videos? Your going to spoil us this week Matt!!! Hope the red giveaway truck didn't give you too much of a hard time. Wouldn't it be awesome if one of us channel members won that, then we could really have some fun! Gonna be awesome to see what your able to do as this channel grows, I love the way you're not trying to grow too fast. That is what makes you more genuine to me, you are not after the quick fame, but out to help us and that will help the automotive community overall.

      Yeah I got behind due to the website coming out, the Giveaway stuff, the dyno moving, and all the remote tuning that happened all at once. I took a break from all of it yesterday to get these videos uploaded and scheduled. These are Members Only videos until the planned date happens. I have this video going public on Monday Night. At the moment, I think I’m going to edit and upload videos on the weekends and upload them for the following week but give Members access to them immediately.

    Man, I really like the way you are doing these videos. Walking through the tuning process while actually in the ride and on the rollers. Thanks and keep the videos coming

    Awesome video, I would like to see how to adjust driver demand tables to see a change with a locked tcm. Also a global B video would be awesome to know how different they really are

    These videos that don't seem to be much going on are as good as a planned video. Idk if you may have covered it in an older video but I'm curious about initial tuning changes for 5in intake. Are older platforms similar? Maybe a video for another day. Also would really be interested in a video about e85 tuning on heads, cam gen4/5 truck. Will be doing cam and milling heads on the wife's Tahoe in the very near future and plan to add a flex sensor because why not lol

    So cool to see this, as my 2016 6.2 8sp Lts whipple truck 3.42 near the same.Its way over my head what you do.Mine whipple went on the truck when new, now has 137k miles, still strong,run it hard ,been flawless, decent mail order tune set it and forgot it.Thanks Matt for sharing and making vids.

    Did you change end up changing the throttle area limits back to factory or leave them at the 103 mm settings?

    • @Matt_Sanford
      @Matt_Sanford  3 місяці тому +1

      I left the 103mm data in since the truck actually cooperated. Sometimes it isn’t that simple.

      @@Matt_Sanford Maybe a dumb question but would you need to adjust the E85 Airmass and Map torque tables if you were getting negative timing while on 62% ethanol?

    Are you keeping the throttle blade at 61 percent just because the fuel system?

      That was actually just my fault on the channels. I had to check the datalog on the Giveaway truck and the Global B channels for the TPS are different. I forgot to swap back to my normal Gen 5 channels on the last pull that I did on camera. I changed channels back and did another pull to confirm. It had me really confused for a second.

      Ahhh makes sense now….i was asking because i was curious how you get it to open all the way….i know thats a common struggle for new tuners like myself
