DS 208 in 1 Plays GBA Games... It's Better Than You Think

- If you don't already own a DS model (any of them) then you have every reason to pick one up. Considering you can get one locally for $40 to $50 this is by far the most bang for your buck handheld out there.
But on top of that is the roughly $20 208 in 1 ds cartridge. Loaded with all the major first-party Nintendo DS games (including all the Pokemon games) it's a tremendous value, and widely available on Amazon and eBay.
But the big thing too few people talk about in regard to the 208 in 1 is its upgradable firmware. Since it really is an Ace 3DS plus flashcard, it can easily have its firmware updated from the link below.
Just simply backup the SD card in the cartridge, then copy the files from here onto your black SD card: archive.org/de...

I've been making videos on this channel since 2013. A lot has changed since then, but today I make videos for the same reason someone may keep a diary.
It's to track and chronicle the things I am interested in at various points of my life. These videos are something for me to be able to look back on.
So why are you here? Because video games are fun and worth sharing! If that's a journey you want to be a part of, like the video and subscribe to the channel.
Mine actually came with a Sandisk micro SD card. I was surprised.
👍
I just got mine yesterday and I immediately swapped out almost all the games😂
My buddy gave me one of these im so glad I found this video for some emulator links
So theoretically how long does it take before the sd card we’re to fail
what? 💀
The vita is king of kings for budget retro systems
4300 In 1 cartridge: I am a Joke for you?
Does this only add the gba core? Or does it change the entire setup
The 482 has no time bomb but I got my sister the 208 in 1 and the games been breaking like there’s a time Bomb
It's the SD card failing.
My sd card failed already
So if i get one and then move the files to a Sandisk sd card would it stop the "time bomb" issue?
There's no time bomb on the 208 in 1. But the SD card it comes with is cheap, and prone to fail. So I'd say just dump all the files to a SanDisk for that reason.
is there any way to recover a game if you accidentally delete it?
download a rom online
Saving this!!
good luck to the Minnesota vikings today 12/17/22
I tried it, it made no difference. Did you install something else too? Actually it did change one thing, what's the key button combo to exit out of a rom on this thing?
Nevermind, I changed it back to the key button combo I was used to, it was just a setting in an ini file. I'd still like to know how you got GBA roms running though
@@MunkiZee im pretty sure you download them
I know that part lol, but thanks for reaching out
@@MunkiZee does downloading roms via your pc into the micro sd card delete all the thing on the micro sd card e.g. ds games
@@s1nhuy96 No, it should just show up as a drive on your PC. You will be able to read what is already on there. Adding files is fine. But you could always make a backup of important files just in case, DS games don't take up much storage space
It has a time bomb in it the device tho. The rom breaks down over time
This is not true with the 208 in 1, though it is the case with some flashcards
Just get a GBA flash cart, there is no point in dealing with emulation on a system that can run the games natively.
Ah yes. Pay $50 when the SD card can do the same thing for much cheaper.
@@WindyREDPanda It can't do the same thing, it can only emulate, it can't run the games natively.
@HCRAYERT. what's the difference? If you get a Flashcart for the GBA slot its still emulation. Native or not ita does the same thing. If you recommend it then you pay out of your pocket. Otherwise poeple are going work with what they got.
@@WindyREDPanda Emulation has input lag, audio quality disparities, and introduces glitches not found when played natively. No, playing a GBA game off a GBA flash cart wouldn't be emulation, because the DS switches into GBA mode when a game is loaded from the GBA slot.
Someone help me reenable the cheats
Does it work on 3ds?
yes
but not 3ds games
I put it in my 3ds but i dont see anything popping up. What happened?
