"Long blonde hair, we called him Thor." Makes me laugh every time cuz all i imagine is Corey: Yo is Thor out there?? Band member: Yeah, he just punched another dude in the face. Corey: .... asshole...
He hit rock bottom, got up, then hit rock bottom again, got up, hit rock bottom again. And he is still living life and learning lessons, the fact that he is such a genuine human, makes me like his music even more. This guy is like grohl to me. Great musicians, great human beings
As a recovering heroin addict, current alcoholic, and die hard maggot ... Correy has been a huge inspiration in my life and listening to him always gives me hope that one day Ill make it out of this
I went to Slipknot's Knotfest 3 days ago. It was AWESOME! when Slipknot took the stage, the place came alive with energy. Not one person was sitting down as y'all played Solway Firth, Unsainted, Duality, Sulfur, Before I Forget, Vermilion (y'all made it such a hard-core song live!), The Devil In I, and a bunch of other songs. Me and the people I went with joke about how Jim Root probably left with a major headache for headbanging so hard. We also say Zero and you left sore from walking around so much onstage
Dude so jealous! Always wanted to see Slipknot! Corey Taylor is my all time favorite artist. For real think he's currently the greatest living musician. So versatile.
@@erikgreen7886 Corey almost fell onstage. After surgery. He told the crowd after-I think it was Sulfur-that almost falling off the stairs onset scared the crap out of him
Iowa is my favorite Slipknot album, even though I now know it came from one of the darkest places of their career. - I've suffered with addiction and that album kept me going, because it was like an embodiment of what I felt inside.. And it was a release to scream my resentment and pain out, listening to the album. (It wasn't till years after I got sober, that I learned that they too were in a dark place when they made made the album.. And then it made sense why I had related so well with it. - Because they felt like I did, or.. I felt like they did.. What ever. ) It sucks they went through that.. But I'm so grateful for the Album because it helped me get through some of the hardest times of my life... Very grateful. Thank you Slipknot,
He seems like such a genuine guy. I saw Slipknot back when I was 17, in 2008. It was at Mayhem festival here in CA. I stood in line for so long to have Sid sign my Camel Wide cigarette. By the time I got to him, I was so hot from the Cali heat, and I handed him my cig and he was like, “I’ve never signed a cigarette before, this is pretty cool.” He was a really nice guy. The show was amazing, something I’ll never forget.
Good to see a mega metal God like Corey Taylor seeming so grounded and humble in interviews, I have a lot of time for that guy as I know he does for his fans
You know, regardless of the fact that I may not be super into everything Corey does music wise, I could listen to him tell stories all fucking day....every single day lol
Even when Corey is just speaking and not screaming his beautiful lyrics or singing... His voice to me is therapeutic 😛 I could listen and watch him all day long😈😻
For some odd reasons, I like a lot of bands first albums. Tools demo, Staind's Tormented, Korn's self titled, Slipknot's self titled, Three Days Grace self titled.
I've seen many interviews and the interviewer fits so well. It's like a guy who is doesn't too nervous to meet important people in music and very down to earth to ask the right questions, the only thing might be to make a countdown of how many facts and fictions are in wikipedia after this interview.
I want Corey and Morgan Freeman......and maybe Josh Robert Thompson..... to narrate my life. Honestly if Freeman was my voice ordering a number 4 with cheese and a large coke... I would be so happy
This guy has actually made me proud to be from such a sad upbringing. The past decade or so, I have found myself surrounded by people who have not come from that type of background, and it has actually made me see what I've missed out on, and kinda makes me feel like crap, to be honest with you. Honestly, I have watched a couple interviews with this guy, and it has changed my perspective. We are all a special group of people who are absolutely amazing and strong. I saw Slipknot and he gave a little speech about us all being a fucking family and I loved that. He's right. If you're reading this, know that you are fucking incredible. Believe me, I have seen both sides, and people with "normal" upbringings have nothing on you, no matter where you live, where you work, or what you do: you are a warrior. Suddenly, I am now grateful and proud for that. ❤
Corey keeps making references to the band members pulling apart and not working together when making records. And I keep thinking of someone taking fire, a tornado, a hurricane, earthquake, lightning, rape, robbery, murder, and chaos and putting it on a record. And that is slipknot.
First concert I ever went to was with my cousin. We seen Stone Sour live, playing with Avenged Sevenfold. We were up front and he flipped Corey off. Corey flipped him back. It was a surreal experience. Anyways, he died from cancer last November. Anytime I listen to Slipknot or Stone Sour these days, it's always a constant reminder. Slipknot was one of the first metal bands we listened to. One of my favorite songs, Snuff, that hits close to home every single time I hear it came from his band. It's strange how someone you don't know personally can have such a strong effect on your life.
What an awesome idea for an interview format, even cooler that CT and other awesome artists like him are willing to sit down and take the time to participate! 🤘🤘🤘
I like Corey, he seems like a cool guy pretty chill and a person that would tell you to fuck off if you piss him off. and hes great at his work, acting, writing and singing.
Corey: *yells at son to do his chores
Son: *headbangs aggressively

Corey doesn't look 45. He looks barely into his 30s
just goes to show the power of positive thinking
Maybe it runs in the family
Hes gonna be like his gram working and young for way too long
His voice is literally like listening to Morgan Freeman, it's just so enchanting and soothing to listen to
agreed...even wen its screaming FUCK U in ur face
You should check out his audiobook then :)
Fuck Morgan....Corey is the real deal 😎
David Draiman is another one of those people it's just oof to listen too.
Morgan Freeman plus Kurt Cobain speaking voice.
“I’m always gonna be a dad” that was the best statement ever.
Corey is such a great interview. I like how he's honest and says it like it is.
