@@MisguidingWish you can, but you probably prefer to every day. the issue is that you need electricity so just any spot doesnt work more than for shorter trips (think about how many everyday appliances you use at home that needs electricity) food shops every day is expensive as f, works short term but not long term if you don't think things break down regularly even if arranged and maintained properly, it just tells me you've never worked with electricity/machinery. out of 30 machines at my job about 2 a week breaks down despite daily maintenance (about half of them are less than 5 years old). anything with a moving part or electricity easily breaks down which is why we generally only have a 1 year warranty on them. even a roadbump can be enough for a generator to break even if it's tied up properly

The rest is miserable and chaotic, but that 10% really does make the other 90 worth it.

Yes you are right I remember that. Remember the bumper stickers , “ don’t laugh , your daughter may be in here.” ? 😂😂😂 funny until you find out your daughter actually is in one of them.
I lived in a hatch back car for 5 years. You have really to simplify. No dishes, only carry dry foods, don’t try to pack a cooler, plan ahead so you know we’re to sleep and eat, have a gym membership for showers. Basically don’t carry unnecessary crap, just the absolute essentials and only clothes and outfits that you actually wear. Tint all your windows…. I could go on forever. But at the end of the month when you Don’t have to send the huge mortgage or rent check, it’s a fantastic feeling 👍👍👍
I put my clothes out for each day of the week once a week. I do it to limit the decisions I have to make which cause me stress and time. I simply don’t want to imagine having to decide where and how to sleep each night. I hope you find safe spots with less stress.
The privacy thing is so true. I’m not a van-lifer but I can see how uncomfortable it is always being out on “display” like that. Like if you wanna quickly check smth on your vehicle but you look like a mess, no bra, in your pjs. It’s not worth getting all put together for 4 minutes out in public.
I have lived in my car 5 months per yr for about 17 yrs. I think routine is important. It allows cops and locals to anticipate your patterns. This allows them to feel their environment is less unpredictable, which decreases their fear. This assumes, of course, you are in an area tolerant of homeless people. When others are less afraid, it is better for all concerned. The routine also gives you a sense of regularity.
Why do people hate on her. She didnt say she has a hard life she said thta just like every lifestyle this one isnt perfect. Jesus people stop being mean for no reason

Although we had washer and dryer and solar capability in case the grid wasn’t available, rotational roof satellite for constant access to our 300 channels on DIRECTV. It soon became clear this life was not for us. you see we had camped in tents and trailers for many years leading up to my retirement camping is fun you know you’re just out there for the weekend you meet new friends and then you go home. Full time living in an RV is NOT camping. you don’t meet new friends out there you meet rivals no shortage of people trying to one up you
Depends because in some countries the storm water drainage is linked to the sewers. In the UK the rainwater from the downpipes goes into the sewerage drains whereas here in Australia we have a separate rainwater system
Its called being homeless. I can't believe you would rather live in a van than find a guy to settle down with in a real apartment or house and start a family.

I can see where those are some of the down sides and know there are more but the biggest up side is not having to get up for a 9-5 job! That’s a nice feeling of freedom!

@@noerazz7515 ok u can skip a shower every alternative day, just do ur hair if u like. To sleep just go to any parking lot make it look subtle and mix with the other cars. As for cooking well u could buy food from food shops, that's how i am eating while away from home and in a van life i get more variety of things to choose from.
As for things breaking down well that's an skill issue, you have to arrange things properly before going for a drive and make sure furniture/appliances are steady enough by clipping them to the wall or something.
@@MisguidingWish you can, but you probably prefer to every day.
the issue is that you need electricity so just any spot doesnt work more than for shorter trips (think about how many everyday appliances you use at home that needs electricity)
food shops every day is expensive as f, works short term but not long term
if you don't think things break down regularly even if arranged and maintained properly, it just tells me you've never worked with electricity/machinery. out of 30 machines at my job about 2 a week breaks down despite daily maintenance (about half of them are less than 5 years old). anything with a moving part or electricity easily breaks down which is why we generally only have a 1 year warranty on them.
even a roadbump can be enough for a generator to break even if it's tied up properly
@@noerazz7515 well i was talking about small home appliances not big machineries.
It's not for women. You can't pee in a bottle in the middle of the night, and that's the biggest problem😂😂😂
The hardest part is living " on the tilt". Many streets are not flat but are higher towards the middle and slope to the curb. This means youre never standing or sleeping level. (Well, my bed will lift, but not the floor.) Spill anything liquid and it will run towards the curb side.
I feel your pain and couldn't agree more. I'm a truck driver and I spent about 10 years over the road and you did a very good job of describing my life
What about sex can we have that In your van ?

@whiteAfrikkkanNun remember that it's only broke people who cannot afford to live in a van.
She has way to much things to be even attempting this. Van life is more for minimalist ppl. In otherwords blanket, pillow(optional.) thats it.
@whiteafrikkkannun1442 houseless not homeless. Shes got a home thats got the worlds biggest backyard thats composed of 48 states, internet, lights, bed, sink, toilet, table, food, and she can do everything you do in your house in all 48 states.

I've done this for years and without exception the most challenging part is finding a place to park where you can stay without the police or someone trying to kick you out. California and Oregon were two of the worst.
Its basically being homeless. No security, no safe space, everyday needs to be figured out by it self, no longterm planning
I am an over the road truck driver, i do have some privacy but i do know about not knowing where your going to sleep and security is also a problem.

❤ yes Ames I totally knew what you're talking about I lived in my van for 36 years I was disabled from an early age but I couldn't handle it anymore because my legs was having trouble so I got off the streets of 2011 but I didn't have it as good as you do but thank you for sharing❤

right lmao
At youtube you can share what you want to see other people about your life and put things out.. But I agree it sounds strange, because you share a bit of your life for quite a few thousand people

The not showering part is my big problem with it.
Also the toilet situation. If you got ibs that could be a big problem.
@@mskenny0512shower at a truck stop. And when your bowels are in a mood you just park there until they are happy again.
But yeah it is hell to have IBS or any bowel issues while on the road. Few months back I ate something that got rejected while I had to deliver a load from the Netherlands to France. Right at the start of the Journey. Luckily I could divert my route past my appartment. But I still had to take an emergency stop at a gas station before I could continue.
If I was still in my van it would have been easy. Just get a bucket and a trashbag. Because that toilet will be full by the end of the day when your stomach gets upset 😂😂😂.
But just plan your stops and toilet breaks. It is quite easy and while living in a van you can always find a public place to do your number 2.

The good times, are AMAZING. The pure euphoria you feel looking at some views is indescribable. However, this is only about 10-25% of your actual lifestyle. The rest is miserable and chaotic, but that 10% really does make the other 90 worth it.

Worst thing about living in a van is that you have to be a young beautiful woman with as little clothes as possible, any other category of person is a bum.

The privacy issue can actually be solved with curtains, removeable tints or any similar way, the other two are straight up facts
I can imagine it can be very hard, and sort of lonely. Stability and one spot can feel so safe
I don't see why it has to be lonely, unless you're a hermit and stay in the van all day. I mean lots of people do that and live in homes.

Where did you take a dump in the middle of the night for example in emergencies?
@@meltingspot1064 never had that issue. I take all my dumps at work or at the gym
I put my clothes out for each day of the week once a week. I do it to limit the decisions I have to make which cause me stress and time. I simply don’t want to imagine having to decide where and how to sleep each night. I hope you find safe spots with less stress.
Being homeless is definitely the top of the list. 20 years ago we would make fun of idiots that lived in a van. They always smelled really bad....

I am living in a van Since 3 years. And yes sometimes it can be exauszing from Time to time. But more on the Side of Very rarely. I love it!
The routine also gives you a sense of regularity.
there is a reason why everyone wants a stable good home glad you are getting there and i hope you will figure out about privacy sooner or later😂

Agree. My wife and I thought full time life in a 40’ Class A motor coach would be a dream way to spend our retirement. HAA! We were wrong.

Pouring your sewage down a storm drain?!
I’m surprised that’s allowed, here in the states it is illegal.

Not paying rent, electric, buy furniture, pay water and trash , and you can drive to another spot if you do not like your neighbors
Then how do you support yourself? You also need a permanent address to have a driver's license along for the vehicle title, registration and insurance.
Absolutely agree with all of this! You be safe out their and it definitely is something I wouldn't mind trying. It does seem peaceful but at the same time, I already would figure lots of people would be around no matter. Safety definitely is the most important part of everything.
