I remember when this aired on MTV. I was a freshman in high school. I planned on watching it and taping it. I did, but I realized MTV is a LAUGHING STOCK!!!! This was 2000, back when all that boy band crap was popular, and that dj had the nerve to ask Angus "How does it feel to play on the same stage as N'Sync?" seriously?!?!?! Are you kidding me?!?!?!??!?!?!?
It kills me that Phil, Mal and Cliff arent ever asked any questions, like they're not part of the band. I know whwn people think of AC/DC, they think of Angus, but give the rhythm section its due because those guys are greatly responsible for the bands sound.
I think Malcolm wanted Angus and Bon then Brian to be the focal point of the band. He pushed it. Which is the reason why they stand behind and only come up for the vocals. Malcolm knew exactly how he wanted everything to go with the band. He was so incredibly smart and talented. The others just had to follow his lead and you never heard any complaining. They were following a master, even Angus. No one discounts Phil or Cliffs rolls in the band. It's all 5 that made them so AC/DC. But then, Malcolm was the one who put them all together.
@@belle9438 dude if i was there i would ask phill, brian and cliff about their story before joining ac/dc or other things and i also want to ask malcolm cause you know many people have asked questions about angus, from his school uniform and other things. but aren't you curious about the story of the other acdc members?
@@tmrwprdise Oh hell yes! Interviewers always asked the same questions over and over. I would love some background on all the members. Home life and personal interest and such. Especially Cliff, you don't see him much. I've found a few one on one interviews but not many. I guess I'm just nosey when it comes to them. Not so much about any other band.
I got the sg today because you and your brother, are, and have always been my favorite team in rock n roll. I remember where i was standing, when i was 4 years old and I heard the first snatch to Highway to Hell. I've supported the band ever since.
Fuck I would take out a mortgage on my house to get a guitar lesson and a guitar from Angus. And I love these guys how they just answer the questions and seem so content with their lives. Of course who would not be if they achieved their dreams. I hope to achieve mine which is be the female Angus.
There actually IS video of Angus giving the guy a lesson, which was more Angus showing Wade a few of his tricks. They were both playing "Whole Lotta Rosie" and the rest of the band just joined in! How fucking cool is that?
@@tmrwprdise it was a bid type deal: highest bidder won a guitar lesson with Angus and a brand new Gibson SG. Angus was showing him some of his little tricks on "Whole Lotta Rosie" (the guy already seemed like a pretty good guitarist) and the whole band joins in! So the guy is basically jamming the song with AC/DC. How cool is that? Oh, and the winning bid? $27,000. He was a younger guy too, probably around 30.
The guy that won the guitar lesson being from Seattle Washington was cool. being as I live in Washington State. but what was really AWESOME is Angus young giving him the red Gibson SG. that would make the twenty eight thousand $ lesson a little more worth it. hell the guitar would have to be worth a good portion of that money. but the real kicker is having the lesson with Angus young no doubt.
I honestly bet the MTV host did not own a AC/DC record. Just a hipster doofus, like the people that work in the record stores that think they are music gods.
Notice how he didn't even catch on to the signifance of the AC/DC shaved into the back of that dude's head... he thinks the dude did that just as some extreme hair do for the occasion, and not as a reference or tribute to The Razor's Edge

He pays 28 GRAND for a lesson and then goes "Oooh! They gave me a FREE guitar!"
For real!!! 28 grand can buy a LOT of '61 reissues
You can tell so much that the boys really didn't want to be there. They have always tried to avoid the spotlight
