    Having self confidence is so important, I see so many people say "I make bad music lol" why would anyone check out your music if you actively say its bad
    Edit: Yall are missing the point. That energy bleeds into your music. If you go in thinking "This will be trash" its going to be trash. Think about why you say that about your music and see what you can do about it

    • @creativemindsyoutube
      @creativemindsyoutube  2 роки тому +152

      It's true. I've done it in the past myself. He's definitely on point with that, a lot of people just struggling to be confident about repping their music because they don't see their songs as their best, or the finished product yet, but I'd say put them out, rep them, and show the journey. Cheers for the comment Dog A. Appreciate the support.

    The same way he sais that people are sensible to different things in music, people have different ways of being proud of their work and themselves. Not promoting your work doesn’t mean that you aren’t proud or that you’re dismissive of your work. Being proud of your work is a concept that can appear in so many different ways and actions. Promoting yourself is just one of them.

    Even though I don’t really care for Tyler’s music due to all the cursing he does, he really gives good advice and I like that.

    I’ve lost my way in the new world…when Tyler mentions that folks will put a song up on stories and that’s that; the kids tell me that’s how it’s done now. I used to stand outside the radio station or venue, handing out tapes, trying to befriend dj’s to get my stuff played on college radio. Obviously, not enough kids have tape players for me to do that these days, and I keep getting advice about how I have to figure out the algorithm/get the hashtags right…it’s beyond me. Is it that I could have been fooled into relying on social media?

    There is a lot of effort that goes into the creative process, even while in the flow. We need to be kinder to ourselves and more appreciative of our abilities to create! Grateful for this advice/information 🙏💗

    • @creativemindsyoutube
      @creativemindsyoutube  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for dropping that support and positivity. I agree wholeheartedly. People, including myself, judge their work because it's not as good as others, or not hitting the mark they want. But any time someone puts into this, they are moving forward on the journey and getting better at something they care about. Doing it when you're not as crazy successful as the artists featured is almost more of a rebellious/inspirational act, cause you're just there for the art and learning process.

      @@creativemindsyoutube Incredibly well said! I do the same thing.. to be human is to learn and grow, and sometimes that growth is painful... BUT! We shall prevail! Thank you for continuing to create even when the odds seem against you! The skills developed in dedication are the gems/jewels of the learning process. Time is gonna pass anyways so we might as well do something we enjoy and can be proud of. Peace and blessings
