Yeah these redcat Valkyrie wov racing PD racing cars are all in the same platform and while they are not the most sophisticated cars in the world for the price they're pretty good

This truly is very impressive. It flew through the air extremely well and took a real beating. I've seen a lot more expensive r/c's that you've tested that didn't hold up as well or not any better. Currently, the other brand has their truggy on sale for $240. I don't know about this truggy, but on the other brand there's a QR code to scan for the manual. This was great review and test.
Very nice to see they got this platform over there. I have the redcat Valkyrie version. And other than a few arms, steering links, and some driveshafts. That’s all I have broke and I got it on release day. It’s a tuff little truck. The one I send and don’t really worry bout it not coming back.

You were laughing SO hard at 14:21 when you hit the railing and the entire left front tire and everything connected shattered off in pieces! Listening to you laughing so hard got me laughing even harder 😂 That was an epic beat down you have that thing!
That looks like a hell of a lot of fun. I do miss my bigger stuff though, but it's not easy carrying around a 6kg 1/8 nitro monster truck, and all necessary tools and accessories on a motorcycle. It's been 1/16 MJX, and Hobby plus 1/18 crawlers for me for the last few years, so still having fun in the hobby regardless. I've been sitting here for about 5 minutes since this video ended, and racking my brain to remember the diff, and shock oils I used to run in my cars. I set them all up the same, then tweaked if needed. Few degrees of toe out on the front will get it turning in. Combine that with 50-70-30 (F-C-R) diff oils, and 35w shock oil all round with maximum rebound. If you want to get fancy with the shocks, take out the pistons, and if they're 3 hole, drill them out to 1.5mm and run 75w oil. If they're 4 hole, drill them out to 1mm and run 70w, both with max rebound. Should get you in the ballpark of 3 wheeling through corners, turning on a dime, or 4 wheel drifting till you're bored of it depending on how happy you are with your trigger finger.
Still have a box of crystals from my racing days and remember the kaos when someone with the same frequency would fire up their transmitter in the pits mid race😅
As for all the boxes saying 2.4ghz still, most countries require any product with a transmitter of any kind, to have its frequency labeled on the box, so im assuming they do it still cause of that :)
Great little Truggy Phil. Handles and jumps well. The only thing I can say is it's almost 2025 and plastic shocks are so 1980's LOL. All RC Vehicles should come standard with Alloy Shocks.
I agree maybe but truly can not make everyone happy , this car on sale redcat for 239 takes skate parks like maxx speeds like a arrma , you can buy alloy shocks for 30/40 bucks , than these guys have sell the car for 350 and compete with brands at 300 , than sales they stand alone . You get your moneys worth drive it normal it last forever
I like when an RC comes out that Redcat also sells, as Redcat has sort of become a parts gateway for 'off brand' RC's. In Canada at least it's often cheaper to get vehicles like the TR10 from wherever, but parts from Redcat as previous 'wherever' the shipping is too high for small parts.

Body kinda ugg but i am sure the fenders are cut out for clearance and for this price range cannot complain. You can always fo your own body and after some hard bashing you will be needing another eventually. Pretty cool rig.

Just a heads up about the brushed version, the drive train is not the same as the brushless version. The brushed version does not have a centre diff, the brushed version is listed in the parts manual with either a slipper or fixed spur. Both front & rear diffs in the brushed version are different as well, their's also no centre brace either.

Alex kowaliuk here, I love most rc cars I'm not picky but I bought 4 red cats all at the same time and the plastic broke on all of them with light use. And the nitros I bought from Red cat only worked twice and the motors never would run again and I use nitro I'm not the best but I can do basic tuning, except on Red cat , maybe they have changed, I hope they have my experience was the worst I've ever had.😂
If this has the snap ring shock rods from the Wov racing version that shock is going to be a common break. If it's got the updated Redcat threaded version you'll be fine. I've not broke a threaded one but the one pressed one that came on my truck broke very quick on a small bad landing. Redcat had already shipped me 4 new updated ones the day before it happened. Imagine customer service that fixes issues before you even know they exist. That's my experience with Redcat customer service and i couldn't be happier to buy more from them.
I didn’t check, but I will do. After the small break I slotted it back in and it actually held up even with a split in it… not sure it would have taken many more big jumps like that though

Total noob here. If you have range problems with the stock radio and receiver can it be swapped out with your own radio system and if so is it fairly simple to do??

Yep I have old traxxas radios with the crystals that’s right 2.7 hz I thought it was FM also or my confusing with regular radios
Still got the 27mhz on my t-maxx. I got the truck brand new in 2002. Put the 3.3 in it and metal driveshafts.

Wow! This thing looks great! I really hope they fix the issues with wheel play and the diff oils. If so I'm gonna get one.
Hopefully they’ll dial it in. Although diff tuning can be done relatively easy… and a little shimming of the axles will probably sort the play out.
