Why do they always choose sports bike sycophants to review the Deauville? It's terrible journalism. Many of us love bikes like this. I know these insecure crotch rocket boys will find it hard to believe but I love the look of the Deauville.
Absolut crap review... I had 650 as my first big bike and I loved it. Well build , comfy , no messy chain. I'm on Pan European now and probably won't get there if not Devi650
This review is typical of second rate bike journalists who to toe the line and repeat the same negative mantra ad nauseum. They are more boring, dull and unoriginal than they ever try to portray the Deauville. Cliche after cliche trotted out to distance them from safe motorcycling. There's always the implied comment that motorcycling has to be a white knuckle experience when driving to fill up. Furthermore, there's the machismo of 'going faster' combined with 'it's not fast enough for me'. All of which shows a real immaturity from middle aged blokes who should know better. These reviews say more about the shallow personalities than they ever do about the bike's character. I've never seen a pro review that praises the bike. That undermines the value of reading their constantly negative comments. It's a Honda for god's sake. A proven, bullet proof Honda. They are trying to convince that Honda made a crap bike, improved the engine slightly, relaunched a new version and persisted in foisting rubbish on the public. Now weigh that load of bull against what you know of Honda. They are the go to bike manufacturer. So why on earth out of their magnificent array of available models would they have in there, in the modern era of tried and tested, a duffer. It is total bolux only matched by the dross of the reviews and the poor quality of those who write them.
I love motorcycles but in a country like England where the weather is shit 99% of the time I made a compromise. I cannot be bothered to fuck around with chains every 5 minutes. To be honest I just want to ride a bike not fuckabout! The NTV has plenty of usable power for the road and has beautiful handling. I fucking hate dudes like this, shitting on everything that isn't an R1 or blade.
To yap about getting their knee down on their plastic race reps. Yes R1s etc etc have their place but as many said it's not that kind of bike so don't review it like one. Idiots.
this pair should only be allowed to comment on the boring roundy roundy carp, as clearly that is all they know about, its a shame they clearly know nothing about Machines intended for the real world, on real roads.
Im considering one but this doesn't put me off at all. I've a Gpz1100E as a summer classic, i just need a winter and work bike, and these look like just the ticket!! I hate bike snobbery and this just irritates me tbh.
So if this was a review of a city car they'd be complaining it doesn't go round a roundabout on two wheels. Get a sensible rider to test it. I had one for over five years, no trouble at all.
performance 7 ok if you say so ive just bought a dueaville 2004 yep it mite not have a power band like most of my sports tourers ive owned but it has more poke for over taking and im not some one who wants a bike that isnt a bike. a real person that has a love for motorcycles wouldnt say that about the dueaville
+John1576able my point is you clearly havent a clue about the dueaville in eny shape or form. your bad evaluation of the bike is totaly one sided its based on your personal view on seeing the bike not your cup of tea even your test ride was made on your first sight of the dueaville. also the ue is silent so say it as those to letter are there
I have a 2006 nt700 along with 2 other bikes, one a classic and one a sports bike. the one that gets used the most is the Honda, partly because of the screen/bodywork, partly because the other bikes don't have ABS ! The way I look at the Honda is just think of it as a spare CAR for commuting, etc., just put the key in and away you go. I do agree that it looks like the bastard offspring of a Pan European and a scooter !
One of the best bike's ever made.
I just purchased one and I love it
Who cares what some journalist thinks, great bike, I had two of them. Highly recommended.
Need to pass my bike test first but might have to add it to the list 😂
@@Menandmotors do it

The thinking Man's CX 500... it is what it is, a damn good bike for the price...
You mean the thinking mans VT500E which was the daddy of the whole line, miles better than the CX500

The Deauville is a superb bike. Keep immature crotch rocket fanboys away from proper bikes like this.
I love my 2003 650NT xx

Dullville? Well you looked right on it,unlike the gsxr600 and romper suit video, like a 45 year old at a rave
Are these two for real ... worst review i have ever watched !
Agree, its all you need, some cocky shite it an white jacket thats way too big for him! Lol

Wozzer only likes sports bikes so I don't count his opinion
